Staying in Landsborough and today we are taking a drive out to Kenilworth vis Eumundi and stopping for a few caches along the way. Lovely scenery and quite a busy road. Thanks to the COs for the placements.
Today we are going to fulfill some challenge cache requirements. We are on a loop from home to replace a container at Cambroon, then to an event at Nary Cairncross Park. We will be time poor today so we didnt go for the walk. Now we are headed to some caches starting with the letters in November. After climbing Emu Mountain in the heat we decided to call it quits and headed home. Weve been keeping these Eumundi caches for special needs such as a cache starting with E. A quick find here. Thanks Janetwil for creating, placing and maintaining the cache.
The seventeenth find for the day whilst on a geoadventure that took me from Twin waters, northward to Eumundi and west to about Gheerula! This half of the series that I could get to was, for the most part, quick easy finds and simple drive bys. Absolutely loved the drive along the road to Kenilworth on a gloomy afternoon. Felt so peaceful. Awarding a FP on behalf of the entire series along here! Thanks for the cache Janetwil!
Hi there Janetwil, we found your cache Eumundi-Kenilworth Road # 1 today. Today is Day Two of our lets introduce some newbies to our hobby. Were camping at Kenilworth Showground and had planned to find as many non premium caches as we could over the next few days, but now weve switched over to premium" as well. Most of the group went the other side. Ian was the lucky one today. Were thoroughly enjoying our jaunt around the countryside today, & so far weve found quite a variety of container types, sizes and ratings. Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where our GPS said we should be looking. Cache Condition: Good. Regards Ian & Penny (Found and logged using Cachly).
We stayed couple of days in Kenilworth ahead of the Magic Maker Event on the Bluff.
We took the time to do this series. We found the cache and signed the log.

After the Maker Magic event wi grab more caches. Thanks for the Serie Janetwil . All caches a well maintained.
This was my first geocache for the day, and I had hoped to complete this series on route to Kenilworth Bluff, but my lack of organisation for today's plans had me depart home with minimal time to spare. As I arrived, my timing could not have been any better to coincide with passing muggles on horses, and their dogs quickly alerted their owners to my location. Nonetheless, they didn't seem to phased with what I was doing on the side of the road, as they walked the track nearby. This cache took a couple of minutes to find as it was just out of my sight to see as I made loops around the obvious tree. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Janetwil for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Today, a planned *Maker Magic* event on the top of Kenilworth Bluff had me make a trip north. When I completed this hike one year ago, I hadn't prepared for the walk to take the full day, and missed out checking other vicinity highlights. Following the event, [shazzar66](https://coord.info/PRJ8B31) and I took a drive north-west through Brooloo and Imbil, and we scoped out the Mary Valley Rail Trail, and the forestry area to the south-west. Those 4WD tracks didn't pose any concerns and were in good condition.
For lunch, [shazzar66](https://coord.info/PRJ8B31) and I returned to Kenilworth where we had lunch at the infamous bakery, and we ran into [Peppa](https://coord.info/PRAXNZZ) who had returned from the hike. We completed the finding of geocaches around town, and I then took off towards Mapleton, stopping off at Mapleton Falls National Park for a short walk. As time continued to get away from me, I was able to make a few final stops in Nambour, and then took the drive home fighting congestion on the M1 highway.
I also commenced/completed two Adventure Labs:
• [Not Too Shabby.](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/ead46a00-3de3-48be-97ed-2033deff279b); and
• [A wander around Kenilworth](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/703debde-f896-446d-ad5a-748aee0abcf7).

My one day off before Xmas and we went on a little tour of the local attractions. After the Yandina market and ginger factory, we followed this power trail to Kenilworth for afternoon tea at the dairy. We managed to find all of the caches along this trail in order and this of course was the first.
Lots of space to park but a bit uneven underfoot around the gums at gz. Had to get through a few very tough spiderwebs to get close & had to be on the right side to spot it. After log signing and replacement, I got shinned by a sharp stick sticking up out of the ground - a nasty bruise to last a while...
