We couldnt find this one either today. Feeling a little bit defeated with our lack of finds today but oh well, well try again another day after some more success in other locations
Find#2312First week of the school holidays and while the cleaner is at home we decided to get up early and grab a few caches along the fernleigh track before we had breakfast. Log and cache in good condition TFTC
Well hidden in a stand out sort of way. I'm very slow between caches today, lungs stuffed. Thanks for the cache.
Reperio 14:19Day 4 of our Newcastle geocaching escapade, and Master Vitruvius and I were up early to tackle the BP series and a few more of the MTB series, and then onto more of the suburban caches still left to do. I hadnt been back along Fernleigh Track for a couple of years since moving away, so it was fantastic to walk/run along it again today. At GZ, the cache didnt take long to spot.Gratias colledaAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Cant believe i missed this last time think my phone gps might have been playing up that day, finally found and swaped an item and added some swaps and a couple of sticker tftf
Was a little turned off by the note left by the visit before but I convinced myself that one person not being able to find it means it isnt muggled. Found the cache which looks how it is meant to be, signed the log and moving onto the next one. TFTC
Went for a search for this one today but think it might have been muggled possibly as we saw a good little geo hiding spot but no geos to be seen hopefully it hasnt been taken but not too sure
Doing Fernleigh track on the bike and grabbing a couple caches on the way. Found my way off track and the hide presented itself. TFTC!
pedal pedal pedal...
Today was my first outing on the bike since busting my ribs. Seems some exercise was required Good coords made most of the (popular) Track finds fairly easy. There were a few doozys in the mix Later in the day I met the CO on the way back. It was most satisfying to get the wind in my face as I hammered the trail.
Veered off the track for this cache. Good thing I reek of Bushman’s as this is tick country. Over my per annum quota for tick bites

Our etrex was unsettled here. But we eventually noticed the good hiding spot. TFTC colleda
Finally finishing the fernleigh track which has taken three goes. The track was not busy today, just runners and cyclists so that made it very straight forward to find the caches. Got some good steps in too. TFTC and Thankyou for placing and maintaining the trail here it really is worthwhile
Quick find with eemiaj on a warm Sunday morning. Got some strange looks from the passing cyclists as we re entered the track. signed as BE5150. TFTC
These are getting us good. After a nice little trek we found it. With kiddie in tow..
Nice short walk along the track to find this cache with a quick find. Was very muggle free this morning. Thanks Colleda for the cache.
It's funny how obvious the sites of these caches are - once you find them. But until then .....
We bashed around the bush, avoided a very small snake, and managed to find the only piece of vine probably in the whole area that snagged one of us along the shin. Little damage, but impressive blood! Anyway, we found the prize! TFTC!

Today Calypso62, SkyMonkey and I made our way up from Sydney to Adamstown by train to ride our push bikes down the Fernleigh Track to Belmont and then ride around Lake Macquarie to Booragul train station for the return journey home.
A quick find.

Quick scramble through the bush had this cache in hand, after farewelling our muggle friends at the last stop.
Quickly found by the geokid this afternoon with not too many people around on the track. TFTC.
After attending a nearby GCNSW gathering, it was time to mount my under-utilised mtb for a few hours of caching along this wonderful stretch of ex railway. Meritonnn had advised me of this event some time ago, and I saw it as a perfect opportunity to get out and about. When the gathering had concluded, Meritonnn and I retrieved our bikes and headed to the trail. I was really looking forward to experiencing this trail. We soon linked up with another, Stefanoodle, and we teamed up to hit the trail.
Soon found ourselves in the next area, and we dismounted and went on our search. It wasn’t long until the hide revealed itself nicely tucked away.

After attending the Geocaching NSW event in Adamstown the plan was to ride along the Fernleigh Track to Belmont. I ended up joining Sweetmanda and Meritonnn as we made up the rear guard of the convoy, picking off the caches that were hidden along the way.
All of our attempts were rewarded with finds. Unfortunately, as I can't see the cache page because this is a Premium Member only listing, this is a generic log for all of those finds. I do remember having fun searching and making some of the finds, the other two cachers making up the rest of the actual finds. It was a great day out on the trail.

In the area today to attend the GCNSW Fernleigh Fun Ride event, cycling along this lovely track for the first time with Sweetmanda and Stefanoodle and grabbing some caches along the way. The GPS soon led me to a promising spot, but to my surprise it was empty. However Stefanoodle soon spotted a similar location nearby and came up with the goods. TFTC colleda, we are really enjoying the variety and challenge of this series!
I noticed prior to heading off for today's Geocaching NSW Fernleigh Fun Ride event that there'd been a couple of new additions to the Fernleigh Track series so I was keen to have a go at them on the bike ride down to Belmont. I initially spied something that looked like a camoed hiding place but drew a blank, but soon spied another more likely spot which revealed the nice good-sized cache.
Just as I was about to leave, I saw Calypso62 and Team Canary cycling by so suggested they give it a go to, which they did.
Many thanks for this nice addition to the series.

We parked at Whitebridge and walked down the track to this cache. It was a lot busier than expected, even on a Sunday. Near GZ I had trouble zeroeing in on the cache as the GPS could not make up its mind, so in the end I approached 2 likely sites and found the cache at one of them. Thanks for a well hidden cache Colleda, another really good hide.
[FTF]. Saw this come up so grabbed the pushing to try to get a FTF. Success this time. Took a PathTag. TFTC Colleda.
