Logs
Thanks or replacing log sheet, came armed with spare log sheets but wasnt required as found the original log not far away on the ground, replaced and all is as it should be again
Found, but cache was open without a logbook. Found a piece of paper in my bagpack and added it to the cache.
Lol around I go. It was just there. But miss it many times. Just as I found it. I said out loud doh, a walker wemt by. I don't think she understood what I was talking about. Saw her many times on my travels. In different places while walking. I was just the weird one on her excise day. Lol. Tftc.
I wasn't expecting all the stairs, but I actually remembered to bring Charlie with me. I went off track, and suddenly found myself staring at said grasshopper. Thank you, Geckoh.
After the previous DNF we were worried that we would not come up with the prize a. MrB says things just dont get lost here, so we persevered and had the cach Im e in hand. Well, an actual fact, Mr B had the cache in hand.
DNF here hope it hasnt been muggled again might need to make it a or rattlesnake to keep the muggles away.
Edit, the cache container was indeed missing, funny to have the original log in a plastic bag still there! We will edit the cache name from Dragon Fly to Grasshopper
A small group of us from team SEAC (Keylev, Stik-a-crane & Uncle Sam) came down this way for the weekend. Neat to have walks like this so close to town. With intel from the campground owner about walking times we decided we could easily do this before dusk. A quick find of the log in a bag out in the open. Rehidden at the hint item. No sign of any container. Signed SEAC to save space. TFTC.
Thanks for the good hints, so as not to spent too much time off the trail damaging the bush....Was down this way with Keylev, HeMaLuDy, and UncleSamNZ, for a quick 2day trip to the Galatea foot hills, we had an earlyish, start from Auckland, our little group decided to take another stop here to continue the cache finding.Signed in as SEAC to save logbook space.TFTC.
Weekend away with my geocaching buddies from Team Seac. Took a drive down to Whakatane on Saturday and did the Bird Walk trail, then went to Galatea and did the foothills trail...that was a long 20 km's return trip...but got most of the caches. Thanks to the CO's for placing the caches. We had a great few days exploring the area. All logs signed "Team Seac" or "Seac"
A quick weekend adventure away with some of the Team SEAC crew..ahhh its been so long since we did this!!Found the log in a plastic bag out in the open on the ground. Signed and out safely under small log at bottom of tree. Thanks for the cache.
517. Quick find on the trail. We found a piece of fishing line hanging from the tree. We did find the log in the end. TFTC
I could smell "home" by now, even though we still had quite a hike to go. As we zeroed in to gz, I spotted a scroll of paper on the ground between track and tree. It was the Log. We all searched around for the cache container with no luck. Placed log in a plastic bag behind tree. Will need attention. Thanks for bringing us here geckoh.
I was enjoying this walk, the GF was back at home with her busted ankle so she missed out on this beautiful bushwalk.

With Mum and nephew… Mum reckons she hasn’t been anywhere in months. It was a reasonably fine Sunday for a drive, so let’s go exploring. The Eastern Bay was looking particularly good…
I was only meant to find one Bird Walk cache, and I just couldn’t help myself. I’m onto number three! I had a bit of company on the trail at this point, and I wondered if I should explain myself - Why I’m darting on and off the trail. My companions looked frazzled as they tried to get their heavy breathing in check - no explanation necessary! I quickly spotted this novel hide. It was worth the walk. Thanks Geckoh. TFTC.

I forgot to log this! This one was a bit wet but I managed to sign. Found on the 11th of feb when I walked from Whakatane to Ohope and back. Really nice walk, will do again and look for a few more caches. TFTC
Loving the variety of geocaches. Only seen 2 other people on the walk so far and combining it with looking for mushroom specimens to photograph. Tftc
Back in town for work. After a longer than usual drive from the other side of the island it was nice to get out and stretch the legs. Bonus a nice bush walk and caches. GPS was jumping around a bit so this took longer to find than it should, but then something caught nz eye. TFTC
Another cool cache here and didn’t take too long to find thanks to the hint. Another favourite point here. A very enjoyable walk too. Tftc
Noticed this new series while passing through Whakatane. Dropped off Mr Rubbishparty at the top while Mrs Rubbishparty parked near the bottom. Happy that between us we found all ten. Cute little cache. Thanks geckoh for getting out among this awesome reverse.
Woke up to a lovely morning after days of rain
Decided a good walk was needed and I wasn’t disappointed. The bird walk is a beautiful walk, yes lots of steps buts lots of bird song and beautiful bush Liked this cache as well TFTC

FTF) 10/10 What a walk, thought it was going to be a breeze, but not so. Very excited to get all 10 as FTF’s. Gap had to do the one off the beaten track while I sat and got my breath back from climbing all those stairs., and detour bridge had me a little confused but found it okay. All cache locations and descriptions all good. Amazing bird life here, even said hello to a weka. SLYFTCaches
