Thanks for your amazing cache JoeyGEO. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. Found with Fisha1288 Cheers, Cympull.
Nice find with my son and team-mate on his last geocaching trek before heading on his OE tomorrow Geohound Bill joined us and is getting used to the stop/start of a caching trail Clue helped but as a beginner I had to find out from a local GCer who Skindo was, in a previous conversation Logged a couple of trackables and took one with us to continue its adventures. Mihi ki a koe mo te keteroki #108
Enjoyed a ride along this trail with some muggle friends today, picking up a few caches along the way. We were on the return leg at this point. A quick find based on the hint! #7568. TFTC.
Our regular Sunday fitness building walk brought us to He Ara Kotahi Trail as I needed to find at least two caches today for my sixth loop of 366 days of geocache finds. Passed by a few on the way from the Linton end as I was inappropriately dressed for the prolific gorse and blackberry to be encountered. So this was the first of three finds today. TFTC
Quick find today though I managed to slip and tear my hi-viz cycle jacket on barbed wire. Thanks for the cache!
Must’ve looked strange running past to see myself, TePureiK, Suaine_Alien and 13thBattleAxe off in the grass. They were moving quickly and seemed completely unbothered. Our standing up quickly to not appear ‘weird’ probably would’ve made it look worse if our efforts weren’t purely for their back. Cache found, log signed and returned without anyone else passing by. Tftc
#12,852. I decided to do the first section of this trail today. Been along it before geocaching but its had new caches added since that trip. The e-scooters are certainly going upmarket. I had no idea they could do that speed or have that amount of range. Ideal devices for the flatter trails around the river margins in Palmie or in the Hutt Valley. My suburb in Wellington is hilly with narrow streets so maybe not so suited for e-scooters.
As I approached GZ I had a strong sense of deja vu. Yep I had a first to find at this very spot less than a year ago. The cache is in a slightly different spot nearby and in fact a place I did check last time. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache where found. Thanks JoeyGE0 for the cache. Favourite for getting me out and about and a chance to walk in my new hiking boots along an easy path. They performed very well and I got no blisters.

I had been in Palmy last weekend, and as part of that trip had hope to have a go on an e-scooter on this trail. As it turns out, unless you actually own your own then you can't do the e-scooter loop on an e-scooter due to the rental companies not allowing their scooters to come along here.
That's OK, as just like last weekend, this weekend I'm spending some quality time with the wonderful Etherlord Clan and they have bikes, including one I can use. So this morning we (2 adults and 3 Ether-minis) loaded up the trailer and headed off to Linton to have a crack at the loop from that end.
This is the 3rd cache I've found here lol. I'm not sure what it is about this location that seems to be a curse for caches, but there were no problems finding this cache today.
No issues to report here, and the log soon had our entry in it. All logs today were signed with either our full names, or ECAT (for Etherlord Clan and TwigNZ) depending on the person signing us in.
Thanks for giving me another excuse to re-visit this track.

GCHQ have issued a challenge of finding 100 caches in the month. This should be doable for me, but will completely wipe me out of any local finds to be able to participate in the other challenges they're issuing over the next 5 months - whatever they may be.
The lower level of the challenge is 5 finds in the month and the medium achievement is 10 finds. This seems a more realistic target for me to complete.
Last weekend, Team M.E.L.T. found the first half of the trail and Team E.C.A.T. found the second half this weekend.
Quick find by EtherGirl at the likely location
Found by E.C.A.T. (Etherlord Clan and TwigNZ) and supported by the 3x EtherSprogs - EtherGirl, SkyCraneKid (fka EtherBoy), and EtherMiss.

A nice quick find. Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I cruised around today, picking up the odd cache on our journey around Palmerston North. The weather was good most of the day, and the traffic was OK too.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. .

(# 7663) On an Easter trip to Palmy to grab a few caches and attend an event on Monday. There are plenty of walkers/cyclists using the track today. Perhaps they were exercising away their Easter treats. A quick find. Now for the walk back to the car. Thanks for bringing me here.
Got caught out putting the cache back, unfortunately the Flying V wasn't a good enough distraction. Tftc!
A quick easy find of our last of this series for today, before turning back to towards Linton. TFTC
After walking past the hinted host to try another (less likely) hide spot near the fence I retraced my steps and there was the cache complete with TB to grab, cheers J.
Last hit out at caching in March, just the four caching days so modest find numbers this month. I wanted to head out for an easy walk this afternoon as the recent weather left my intended target of Sledge Track not as appealing as I'd want it to be to head up alone. I'd also misread and thought the Linton to Palmy walkway was 14km one way! So nice surprise to see less than 6.5kms . mrs c dropped me off at Linton track end and a plan to meet in Esplanade was adjusted to Pak n Save for 8kms exactly, 15 cache finds and a good stroll. Thanks to 'all' COs.
I keep an eye on my finds by CO on Project-GC and noted Popmac had recently been bumped out of my 'Top 40' After todays efforts he's back on board and Joeyge0 is also jostling with the high 30s at 6-+ finds by CO, welcome!

Stopped here for a walk on the way to Palmerston North this afternoon. An instant find here. Signed log, TFTC
Dropped off TB, early morning walk to Linton. The track has been muddy in places and also has had the limestone washed away in places.
A nice walk along the pathway from the Linton end this morning. No worries here at all. TFTC
Dad and I had a plan to find these caches today out total time on this track was close to 5 hours with the caching, feeding the eels, picking blackberries, great day out and almost reached 14km thanks for the placement we enjoyed them all.
Nice sunny day out with tmann421 getting some caches in PN and surrounding areas.

Out for a ride along the track out to Linton and a chance to grab a number of caches along the way. On our bikes today, however there were some others on e-scooters further up the track. No problems with the find given the classic nature of the hide. Thanks for the cache JoeyGEO.
woolwood9 & I had fun traveling from cache to cache on a very nice sunny day.
We soon had this one found!

*Thanks for putting the container out for us to visit!*
Enjoyable trail!

The last cache for the day before turning around back to our car. I wanted to tell SXY the term of Skindo's favorite hide, but completely forgot. It will come to me... oh yes, now I remember..

Thanks for the geotrail JoeyGE0
Found after reading the previous logs, but by then I'd kept Tracy waiting 5mins while checking more than 5 hinted areas
Could the CO change the hint (eg just say Brace Yourself! to avoid unnecessary traipsing over fences or thru the gate?

Found while biking the trail with haydn.seek, both on our e-bikes. The hint puzzled us, but a previous finder's description of a "skindo hide" had us quickly locating and signing. Thanks JoeyGE0.
I got most confused here. I remember DNFing a previous cache when the nearby fence went up and blocked off that cache. So when I looked at the hint for this one I wondered if I was looking at the wrong cache. I don't recall now if the GPS zeroed out and maybe the hint refers to different location? Regardless I found the cache quickly by looking in the logical place. Just as well because I think a DNF was likely otherwise. After putting the cache back I decided I needed to reassure myself I found what I thought I found and fished out the cache again. Yep, ident matches this listing so not really sure what's going on! TFTC though.
while this one was located i do fear that this will soon be overcome with blackberry bushes so be warned and have some skin protection . We were pleased to find all 9 of them with just one DNF. It was a lovely warm summers day and i am glad we left early and were hone by mid day and out of the hot sun .
We stopped at the feeding stn for the eels and fed them some cold chicken and i was amazed there were so many families there feeding and watching the eels . They will be well fed today !

**#16,736**I parked up the bike, checked the hint and started looking, maybe its over the fence? got over and started looking behind trees as per hint on the other side, hmmm nope...phase two, if hint doesn't work try previous logs... seems the hint item may have been changed to a fence post or brace?I guess the brace and post are timber so once were a tree...Anyway, stop complaining, it's a smilie haha.
Early morning bike ride along He Ara Kotahi cycle/walking track to get two caches I could not find last time out here. My DNF log was deleted and I still think this one should be more than D1 with a misleading hint. Thanks JoeyGE0 for the cache.
Another nice find, though I'm disappointed a perfectly good puzzle got removed for this trad. I preferred the puzzle :p
Not the nicest weather to be out caching but who cares when you find them. Today I parked up at the Linton end and had time to collect the first six (or rather the last six) of this series. No E-scooter just my two pins. This took me a while. Searched behind lots of trees that had clearly had the geocaching work up. I think the orange triangle led me astray. Finally came to my senses and felt the spirit of skindo prevail. Log signed. Now time to head back. Thanks JoeyGE0 for the smiley and a bit of exercise on a wet day.
The cache page sounds a bit like a sales pitch for e-scooters, with only one line dedicated to the cache itself.
I opted to go for the full exercise package and went by 'shanks pony'. Mr rattll dropped me off at the Linton end and I walked to the He Ara kotahi bridge and then along the other side back to paneiri park.
The barbed wire fence was a little daunting, but I found a gap and climbed over, otherwise nothing would fit the hint? However having found nothing, I returned to the correct side of the fence.
I was about to give up but figured I'd trust the co ords and ignore the hint for one last go, and there was the cache in a very sensible place!
Glad to finally nab it. Thanks for putting this here
