Found on our way back to Hobart after camping out at Boltons Green Campground in Southwest NP at Cockle Creek for the night. Thanks for the Adventure Lab and bonus cache Budgietas!
hi Budgietas - thanks for the cache.I've been enjoying spending time this week with geoFamily, Davinells from Qld.After a lovely walk into Duckhole Lake this morning - even managing to avoid the rain - we're caching our way back thru Dover.I'd completed the Ad Lab some time ago, but didn't have time to seek out this bonus.Davs completed the lab today so we put our heads together, visited the required WP, calculated GZ and made our way there. Davs made the find while I was 'at the wrong tree' !CheersEPs
After a great walk in to Duckhole Lake with EeePees we are caching our way back to Hobart. With the adlab completed, we worked out the next step and headed there. The tide was in so it was a calculated along the beach to avoid the water, but we made it with dry feet. Gathered the next set of numbers then headed to GZ and found the cache. Thanks BudgietasFind #6293
We completed the Adventure Lab yesterday but ran out of light before we could tackle this bonus cache. We went to Cockle Creek early this morning and on the way back, stopped in Dover to attempt this cache. Using the information from the Adventure Lab, we calculated the coordinates for the waypoint. At this point we collected the required information and calculated the coordinates for GZ. These were accurate and the cache was soon found. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Budgietas for the Adventure Lab and the bonus cache.
Thanks Budgietas for hiding this cache, I needed a find for today to update my calendar and find streak. Your Mystery cache, Dover Wander - Bonus Cache, was just what I needed. This is my find #1606 at 11:01 on 2/6/2024. FTF: Found with: selfWeather: sunnyMuggles: noneLight level: goodCache condition: goodDistance from GZ: Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81
Today we headed out from our base camp at Geeveston for some caching along the coast to Dover. We had a lovely afternoon. The weather wasnt brilliant but the heavy rain held off until we got back to our Moho.Only 2 dnf for the day, 5 AL and about 10 finds so happy with that. Imagine Dover and surrounds would be pretty hectic on a lovely summer weekend.Nice find after completing the AL, liked that the puzzle was a puzzle. Cache found in first place I looked, lovely TFTC
Oh dear. A DNF for us today . We did the ad lab, then solved the two puzzle parts but no luck at GZ. There were a few option but with eagle eyes across the road watching out every move we bugged out. We were even asked if we'd lost something, followed by a snigger Not sure if he knows anything or was just being a smart a....We have others to do down here so will try again one day
Im having a couple of weeks off and Im spending the first few days down in the South of Tassie to find 8 different types, 25 of one type and also any LGAs that I come across to help fulfil a few of the challenges that Im working on.Also Im trying to keep my small streak going to beat my last streak of 67 days. After spending the night down south Im heading back towards Hobart to see where I end up for the night.I drove through Dover on the way down south and I planned to stop in here to explore the area. After completing the Lab I had a set of coords and then realised that there was more to to so I soon found the sign and after some more maths I had another set of coords and off I went. The cache was soon in hand and what a great little adventure that was.A fav goes out to you for this one. Thanks Budgietas TFTC.
This was quote a challenge. Its great to have the time to do such adventure caching. We are camping with relatives very nearby to the start and the final bonus cache. We did the adventure lab caches over lunchtime. I popped between showers of rain to get the bonus cache. My coordinates had me in the middle of a forest. It seemed unlikely but the more I checked the coordinates the more they looked right. I went there but the was no sign or any likelihood of finding a sign. I looked at my coordinates again, realised where I had gone wrong. Shortly after I had found the cache. Woohoo. TFTC.
Mother, Bro and Sis collected the first two bits of info for this one a while back, but in amongst roadworks, path closures and time restraints did not manage to find the final cache. Back again today with Father, Mother and Sis, and after widening our search area Sis soon had it in hand. Thanks for the cache, one of the best mysteries we've done, and fun at all stages Favourite from us <3
Gathered the clues, headed to location for extra info, headed to gz, checked previous ligs and found not long after.

We headed off early to miss the morning traffic and did a loop down to Franklin, Dover and back home via Abels Bay, Egg and Bacon Bay and Nine Pin Point to find caches that would help us gain a souvenir or two this month. Needing an adventure Lab to help qualify we headed to the closest of this type unfound (Queenstown is the other) to tick this type off. Having obtained the relevant info we headed to the waypoint and did a few more sums. Accurate coords led us to GZ and the cache was soon found. TFTP
Hello Budgietas thank you for the cache
The last time I tried this cache the road was closed and I slipped down a bank trying to get to the sign.
With my back soaking wet and covered with slime I worked out the cords and went for a walk to GZ.
GZ had me in a location where a man over the road could easily see me so I rent back to the car, stripped off and went home.
Today I came back to have another go at finding your cache.
At GZ I was been watched by the man across the road this time he was cleaning his bird feeder.
I decided to widen my search and found it 11meters to the south out of the mans sight.

We stopped in Dover for a great lunch at the cafe after visiting Hastings Caves and Cockle Creek on Recherche Bay. Happy to have convinced our friend tour guide, who we are staying with at Port Huon, for the week to delay the return drive a little to potter around town doing the adventure lab. Figured out the coordinates from the AL clues, drove around to another nice little beach, found the next waypoint at another great view, more calculations and a bit more of a walk through the bush. Lots of possible hides here so it took a little while to locate the right tree.
Thanks for the interesting history in the adventure lab and the tour of Dover.

Spending a few days at Southport with the 2 Grandchildren doing different things with them and if caching occurs then even better!
The grandchildren loved the thermal pool, views in the area, the white sandy beach in Southport and the Geeveston playground.
They helped find the answers to the AL then helped the the maths! All good and it wasn’t to long before we got to GZ.
Thanks for entertaining us today.

After spending the Australia Day weekend down beyond Cockle Creek in the depths of hell doing 37 Minutes and South East Cape, and actually living to tell the tale a quick stopover was made in Dover on the way back to complete the only 2 caches I hadn't found here. The adventure lab and of course this bonus cache. After driving the adventure lab to save time it was a nice short walk from the parking along the coast to find the final for this. With gps constantly at 1m or less I searched thourougly for some time where it appeared athers had also searched to no avail. After widening the search I found the cache in good condition in a likely spot that I had already glanced at earlier. Tahnks for the adventure and the cache Budgietas.
Out and about with the Rafa family for a summer drive to Southport. Got the adventure lab at Dover and this bonus on the way. TFTADLAB and bonus, a little twist at the end. Log dry.
Thanks for the adlab bonus cache Budgietas.
RLD4963, the two GeoGSP's and I had a daytrip down the channel today to see if we could complete a nice long multi. As we were stopping at Dover we were keen to complete the adlab and then search for this Bonus cache.
I like the extra step to find the cache for this one - and it's such a lovely area and walking track along here. Cache was found nice and dry at GZ. A favourite from me.

{*FTF*} with Zozetta, sometime in the early afternoon.
Our original plan for the day was to head up to Orford to try and find some more of the tiger snake series but when I got a notification about a new ad lab and bonus at Dover we couldn’t resist trying to get a first to find. We took the Huon highway on the way in with plans to take the longer way through police point on the way back. A great day out with a total of eighteen finds.
Well, where to start with this one… we completed the lab and got the info needed for this bonus but B was missing and the rest didn’t make any sense. Our most likely sign GZ was right next to this one’s posted coords and a quick look confirmed there was no sign there. We decided to go to the parking coords and see what we could find. Once we got there we searched every tree we could see but no cache. We then stumbled across the sign and quickly worked out what we thought was GZ, but it was in the ocean. We double checked our math and got the same result. Zozetta suggested switching the two in the east minutes for a one and once that was done we had a possible GZ. Took the short walk and began our search. Phone was jumping all over the place and I’d accidentally left the gpsr in the car so it took a few minutes to make the find, but we did. There are a few problems that need fixing but otherwise this is an excellent cache.

Wow, this one was tricky but we found it. A couple of issues: There was no ‘B’ and also the numbers on the sign and the maths provided gave us one incorrect number, which put the final cache in the ocean… After fiddling around guessing with different numbers we finally found it.
