Logs
Apologies for the late log, we have just come back from a 10 day holiday to South Australia, spending every minute we could with family Today (Mon 23/9) was set off day, travelling from Melbourne to Peterborough. We arrived mid arvo and meandered our way along the coastline, absolutely loving the gorgeous outlook and scenery! We looked for this one on the way back to the holiday house at Peterborough. To begin with the GPS jumped all over the place until GMelb found the right track and soon spotted the cache not too far up the hill. TFTC The_Tritonz - GJMMelb
Here in Port Campbell for a family funeral in Peterborough, with the burial here today around midday. After the wake and some site-seeing of the 12 Apostles etc, I returned late afternoon to make the find. TFTC
bunadoorian and I were in the area to have lunch with interstate family members. We were early for this meeting so decided to come and find this cache. We have not been to this cemetery before but have driven past this area many times before. bunadoorian found this cache first. TFTC and for bringing us here The_Tritonz.
Grub62 and I were in the area attending a family meeting and thought we should give this cache a smiley face. A bit tough for us geriatrics to get to but well hidden. Thanks for the entertainment and TFTC. Happy and healthy Geocaching to The_Tritonz.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Spending a few days in Warrnambool to grab some local. Pretty miserable day but it keeps the muggles off the road. After the overnight rain it was very slippery but we soon spotted it. Thanks for the hideLNCU
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are spending our time exploring the local area. Thanks for placing this cache. LNCU.
First of 4 days caching with Robmc today. Today we left home in Melbourne to travel via Apollo Bay, Port Campbell and then north to finish in Mortlake. Grabbing caches as we went along.Haven driven past this cemetery countless times and always thinking itd be an interesting one to explore, today I had an excuse!Cache found easily once we were on the right level.
Day and I have set off for a LGA collection trip around Western Victoria. We started today heading down to the Otways, then across to Port Campbell, then north to Mortlake. The weather was somewhat changeable, but we stayed mostly dry.We drove up to the top level first thinking it might be closer to GZ, then Day read the hint!Back down we went. An interesting split cemetery. Thanks, Robmc.
Visiting Port Campbell again after a couple of years.Ran in to the owner of port Campbell town again, who wished us luck on making this find (its too steep for me, he said). We made the mistake of getting to the wrong level as many previously did haha - when corrected, I also looked up in disappointment, expecting Id need to rock/mud scramble up the wall - but we quickly spotted it as the hint suggested, so luckily the climb was shorter than feared and we didnt need to spend time searching whilst going vertical.Tftc, interesting to see that the cemetery is still zoned based on religion!
Should have checked the hint first. Finally found ourselves on the correct level, and Mr9 had it in his sights. May have lost the pen along the way back..
#19737 - 8:30:00 AM; Day twelve of a road trip taking the long way to Adelaide from the National Capital and back again with the geohoney. Arrived in Port Campbell last night after caching time, so headed out this morning to grab the couple of local caches. Arrived close to GZ and made my first mistake, taking the high road! Rectified my error and found myself at GZ soon after and the log was then signed. TFTC The_Tritonz
Found this with gridge98 on our road trip to Victoria. We took the great ocean road to Warrnambool, then to Ballarat and Halls Gap. Fantastic trip away over 5 days. Thanks for the cache!
A nice cemetery on the side of the hill, rather peaceful apart from the cars going past every 2 seconds, the cache was found here and is all goodcourtneyrose_ and I headed away to Victoria for a 5 day trip for me to partake in the Ballarat Marathon. Along the way we made our way to the great ocean road to explore the area, after both of us had not been there for many years. We then headed to Ballarat for 2 nights before heading to Halls Gap for a scenic experience for the night before making our way back to home to Adelaide. Thanks for the cache.
Drove to the top just for a look but then came back down and parked at the bottom. Could see the cache container before I started the short climb so that made it easier. After reading some of the logs on this one I had visions of scaling a muddy, slippery cliff and putting my life at risk but it was way easier than that.Nifty little container too. Thanks The Tritonz
Day 1 of our trip to the Great Leap Forward mega event in Adelaide, accompanied by our new Canadian friends jtee and janjorjack. We took the very scenic route via the Great Ocean Road. What an interesting little cemetery! We love it when geocaching shows us these places. TFTC The Tritonz.
All is well here. Fav because I love cemetery caches. Day 4 in Australia and it was a road trip day. Chooknchunk,Jtee and I were off to the coast and. Working our way towards the Mega. Wow. What a lovely country. The goal for me was the many amazing earthcaches and some cool looking ones nearby. We have found the cachers around here super friendly and helpful. Thanks for the smile
I was in too much of a hurry and didn't read the description until after so went to high. Bullertrout and Nanzie got it right though. All logs are being signed as BT, N, PC or some variation of that to save space. TFTC The_Tritonz#15156
PCNBT TEAM on our trip to join our other caching friends in Adelaide for the Mega. Thanks for this cache The_Tritonz
Found it eventually after climbing too high! Coordinates seem to be a bit out. TFTC!
Travelling the Great Ocean Road as we make our way to the Great Leap Forward in Adelaide. Starting the night in Port Campbell and were about to head to Tim Boon for dinner but luckily as I was finding the cache, Ms M was reading the pamphlet she was given to discover that the restaurant was shut on a Monday.Back into town for a rather good pizza instead. Interesting how the headstones are back to back (head to head). Never seen that before. TFTC
A cemetary is allways a point of interest for TEMBO! and me. We visited the cache "R.I.P: Port Campbell Cemetery V2" and signed the logbook. Thanks to The_Tritonz for hiding and maintaining the cache.T4TC Filser1
Went to the cache from the top but in the end it would of been much easier if we went from the bottom (you don't need to go up the cliff too far)
On a little adventure with Boston my geohound from Canberra via Geelong and then Port Augusta for my Dad's 80th birthday. As I love cemeteries I had to stop here, quaint little cemetery. Tftc
I love a cemetery cache, so we had to stop at this one. I sent my daughter up (she volunteered) following the geo trail, and then I spotted the cache hanging on the tree and guided her back down. She grabbed the cache, brought it down to me, and then I returned it in place. We both got a bit sliced on those trees!! Thanks for the fun cache in an interesting location.

Been saving this one for awhile since it's the closest left in my home patch. As usual I made it very hard work. Phone gps was out by a bit, and thongs weren't the best attire considering the steep and slippery slope. It was also a warmish evening and I was a bit jittery since it is a known snake area, my bare feet were feeling a bit exposed. After looking in the wrong areas for half an hour I was about to give up but sat for a bit, used a bit of common sense and what do you know!, obvious find. Of course i went to sign the log and the pen i had wouldn't work so back to the car, got the spare and got the log for the last day of the year! Happy New Year! TFTC
Spent a long time looking for this little sucker with no success. Slid, climbed, attacked from different angles having to accede defeat
You pwned us n00bs.Spent a good 20 mins on the difficult slope. No cigar. Heck, if Id spent any longer here I may have joined the locals. We will return.Look look look. You are only as good as your next find. Thanks and clear skies from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!
Had to pour the dirt from my shoes once i got to the car, was a bit of a climb but easy to findPika 8/10/23
Apparently today is day 4 off our holiday from Brisbane. (I wrote day 4 in all of yesterday's logs). So....day 4 was The Flagstaff museum at Warnambool and then the drive back to Lorne. Not many caches today because we found most of them on the way west, but enough today to break up the drive. Bit of a mission but got there once I was on the right level.
Found it with Bobbie1970Interesting cemetery Thanks for bring me here and cache.
Looked in every tree but gps was jumping around a lot and no luck pinpointing where the cache was likely to be.
Found It..........While in the area picking up another cache we dropped by and got this one as well. After pulling up Mr H_3 set off and with accurate coords the cache was located in record time. So with the log signed we continued our journey. Thanks The Tritonz for the cache
Fun cache, terrible weather! Didn’t have a pen on me so I got a photo of the log. Tftc
After a lovely lunch in PC we decided to stop by and check out the old cemetery. I thought it would be a great opportunity to grab this cache while l was here. Looks as though after all the rain, quite a bit of debris has washed down the hill from the top cemetery to the bottom. The route is still navigatable to the cache though
Suscoe was heading home today after a few days in the far Western District and we even had a short across border excursion to Naracoorte as well.
It was a cold and drizzly rain day from Hamilton to Colac via caches to the south of Hamilton and across to Port Campbell and timboon. Once we hit the divided road to the east of Colac the drizzle stopped but we could still see it over the Otways.
We saw wonderful countryside again, so green, very wet in the paddocks, on the road side and even on the roads as well.
Lots of sheep, cows, alpacas at times, dogs the ocean and plantations. And not to forget Volcanic events and landscape features.
Thanks to The_Tritonz for placing this cache and giving us a reason to visit this delightful little coastal village.
We ate lunch while watching the sea at the port inlet and then we visited the cemetery for this little hide. Glad we found it.

Spending a couple of days in the area, we came to claim a new smilie here.
Both of us challenged our physical confidence to make the find. While S overshot the mark, V spotted the prize.
Cache is in good condition, plenty of signing spaces left in the logbook.

Very nice! In port campbell for the night on the way to Spinfest. Hope the dead are friendly
We continued today our tour in Victoria, AUS, and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.
The weather was - said in one word – simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood.
The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging.
Thanks to The_Tritonz for the generation of this nice cache R.I.P: Port Campbell Cemetery V2 (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.
PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they appeared.
Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood.

Day 2 of my road trip through the south west of Victoria... Colac to Warrnambool... with plans to find lots of caches along the way to help with a collection of different challenges I am working on... and generally have a great time!
Having made it to Port Campbell, it was time to continue west... taking the time when leaving town to stop or this cache. It took me a little while to find but I got it in the end... after paying a bit more attention to what the Terrain rating is...
Thanks **The_Tritonz** for this cache.

Logged in again. This is our nearest cache to home and was previously logged about 18 months ago. Good new container and log.

In Port Campbell for a few nights, grabbed this one on the way in. We'd picked the old one up on a previous visit. Thanks for the cache, The_Tritonz.

I do like the layout of this small cemetery. Some nice trees. One even has a cache in it.
Many thanks tritonz for this one...

This is not where we expected to be as we thought we would be home by now but that doesn't seem to have happened, again. No way that we are going to pass up a reason to visit a cemetery. We were both sure we had been here before but we soon noticed this was a V2. Our GPS took us to wrong level first but a quick U turn and we were back where we needed to be. After a little bit of a stroll around, the cache was quickly located with spot on coords. Thanks for the cache and bringing us here.
Yay a *FTF* and reasonably close to home. Have been watching this one for a week thinking we would give others a chance at a FTF, but there comes a time we can wait no more, and that time came this morning, checked again 1st thing and we were off. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird (aka Mrs Geo, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird). It’s a great day for caching.

Wow - this has sat in drafts a long time!! Memorable though as it took awhile. Love that Bingo bango moment! End of the day and a great day at that exploring this fabulous coastline. It’s been rugged and wild dodging raindrops and being in awe of the huge crashing waves and dramatic clouds. TFTC and the fun - a fave for ‘hospitality’ Port Campbell!
