Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Spending a few days in Warrnambool to grab some local finds. Always enjoy a cemetery cache. Did the numbers to make a quick find. Thanks for the hideLNCU
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We enjoy cemetery caches, thanks for placing this cache. LNCU.
The second of a 4 day adventure with Robmc. Today we travelled from Mortlake to Apsley via the southern grampians and then east towards Horsham, picking up select cahes along the way.Another beautifully done multi cache, thanks for showing us around.
Day two with Day on our LGA collection trip around Western Victoria.Today we started at Mortlake, traveled across West Wimmera, and finished in Horsham..The weather was somewhat changeable, but we stayed mostly dry.Worked our way backwards to No.1.Just out of town to a cemetery we hadn't visited before. Thanks, Robmc.
Find # 14504Off for a nice long drive in the countryside. Targeting; Glenthompson, Wickliffe, Chatsworth, Caramut, Hexam, Mortlake, Woorndoo and Lake Bolac.Collecting the Cemetery series, a couple of AdLabs and a few trads, and a puzzle that's been long solved. Anothet Interesting Cemetery. TFTC weirdobiker
What a fantastic week of (late) autumn weather it has been in Adelaide! And with even more on the way, I thought Id take the opportunity to go away for a few days of caching, camping and sightseeing on my own. From Adelaide I headed down to the Coonawarra, then across to the Southern Grampians area then east as far as Colac, before making my way back home. I took a winding route, collecting caches of interest along the way. I managed to find a range of caches types, including Traditional, Unknown, Multi, Letterbox Hybrid, Virtual and Earthcaches as well as a few Adventure Labs. All but a couple were found without any trouble. Most were good order unless otherwise noted.Fortunately the weather held out pretty well for most of the time. However, it rained steadily for hours when I was in Colac one night, but I guess you have to expect that in Victoria! The required information was collected and final coordinates determined, but not before adjusting for the couple of errors in the cache description. Then it was off to GZ for a quick find. Thanks weirdobiker for the cache.
Got to the initial waypoint and got the coordinates to the next waypoint no worries. Put together the coordinates for GZ but was getting the wrong Checksum for South. After triple checking it I went to the calculated GZ and made the quick find anyway. TFTC!!
Nice little cemetery cache. Collected on the way home from Easter in Balmoral. I love the history of some of these places. TFTC
Found with McAdies and Geo_Eddie.I liked the hide. Thanks for hiding it for us to find.
We have come down from Kaniva to take a friend to Panmure, after dropping them off we headed off to find a few caches. Heading to Warrnambool and now we are on our way home finding caches as we go. You have to just love an easy multi with clear questions and answers. Our calculations done we were off to GZ which proved to be spot on. SL TFTC
Another interesting cemetery on the way home. Enjoyed the sweeping curves here. TFTC
SL at 5:50pm. Afternoon drive out to Woolsthorpe for a small errand with bdiaw, MuggleMasterKid9 (MMK9) and the GeoTwins. After solving and finding the cache we wandered around the cemetery grounds. It is sad to see the cemetery so uncared for and some of the gravestones have literally fallen into disrepair.*FP awarded as it's in one of my favourite places to cache! *Signed log using MMK9 and GeoTwins.*TFTC weirdobiker and the challenge.
Found with hevwalker on our way home from a wonderul 4 day holiday in Warrnambool. Very open cemetery with lots of really interesting history, tombstones and stories. Lots of room for caravan towers to come in and then turn around safely. TFTC
scramping & I were visiting Warrnambool for a 4-day long weekend and now on our way home stopping where we can with the van on the back. There was enough room to park and turn the van around here.We wandered through the cemetery looking at the headstones & answering the questions (firstly outside the cemetery). Thanks for placing the cache for our enjoyment
15/07/2023 4:14:00 PMI ticked off another 3 cemetery visits today as I meandered my home to Portland from Ararat, using caches to guide my route. I used the check sum as I have a poor history of getting multis right the first time. Despite my calculated coords not resolving with the checksum my WP1 I headed off with 2 possibilities, the first one took me to a headstone with 6 names but the questions didn't align with the names but I spotted a potential hiding spot that turned up trumps Thanks weirdobikerFind recorded using GCDroid and logged using GSAK
After returning from a few months away in WA I came home via Portland to visit dad and pick up our daughter who had caught the train there.
When leaving we decided to take the road less traveled and try and pick up some caches.
This one was the second in this series for us and happily the rain had dispersed and we headed off to collect the required information.
The first set of were unexpected for a cemetery cache but very interesting all the same.
Once we had the coordinates we headed off to stage two to find some more expected questions.
Again when we had Check summed our answers we were off to GZ. We were happy there was no bush bashing involved as we didn't really want to get any wetter.
Again our thanks weirdobiker for the enjoyable multi

Suscoe left home early this morning for a trip to the Western District.
It was a cool day with plenty of cloud and some drizzle at times.
We were amazed by the water sitting in paddocks and along the roadsides.
We enjoyed the countryside and the caching which changed as we headed west with plains, mountains, rivers and green fields.
Thanks to weirdobiker for this hide.
An very interesting headstone and we enjoyed learning a bit about local history and the environment as well.

Off to find a cache for the Wheel of Challenges. Thought I'd head up here for one. A lovely little cemetery but quite windy. Coordinates worked out, cache located and log signed.
Thanks for the Multi-cache weirdobiker

We were happy to see this new Cemetery series added to the map allowing us some more adventures in lovely historic county cemeteries. Today on a new adventure west of home we traveled from cemetery to cemetery, back tracking on occasion to complete each multi, enjoying the history we read on each headstone.
Numbers crunched for both waypoints and log signed quickly before wandering around this really interesting cemetery. Some really fascinating grave set ups here.
Thanks weirdobiker for the Multi placement.

Day 4 and it was the last day of my road trip through the south west of Victoria... time to head home to Melbourne... but not without finding lots of caches along the way. But that nearly didn't happen... *geocaching.com* shut down for maintenance in the morning... and it was only by good luck that I had a collection of caches stored off-line.
The modified plan for the morning was to find enough caches in Moyne Shire tick it off for the *12 Circuits of Victoria Challenge*... and then another 8 caches to tick it off for the *WCW - The 80/20 Rule Challenge*.
Caches in Moyne Shire are widely spread so after a visit to Tower Hill, I was now heading north. After finding the Trad in town, it was out to the cemetery to complete this Multi. This one took me ages to complete... but that was only because I stopped for a phone call from my sister...
Thanks **weirdobiker** for this cache.

Omg!! Sooooo many places to start with this one!!
Cemetery? Big tick!!!
Multi? Meh
Multi in a cemetery? Count me in!!!!
Up til this year our lil team of cachers have been sooo bad at multis. If it’s a convert letter to number, we suck. If it’s adding up numbers, we suck. If it’s a lil orange dot, yeah we suck!! But, as I said, that was up until this year! This year we have successfully worked out heaps of them.
Standing here at wp1 one of us was reading the question while the other was finding at recording the answers. Most likely we were out of practice but after a lot of laughs we made it to question 3!!!!
We made our way to wp2 where we got what we needed and started walking toward gz.
Wooohoooo!! Look at us go!!!! The wrong way!!!!!
After more laughter we swung around and headed the correct way and soon had the log book signed with our names.
A fp from me because it’s a straightforward multi in a cemetery that I’d not been to before.

OMG!!!!!! Why do we do multis??? Quick answer coz our stupidity makes us laugh…. And mine on this one was no exception. I was to read the question while kenare wrote down the answer….. no….. I had one job to do….one only….. maybe stick to that….. so after I buffooned my way to question 3 I just stuck to the one job….. which really wasn’t that great at. We finally got to wp2 and I stuck to my task which had the answers quicker. What a laugh this one was….. Mike’s out of where we should of been…. Totally dopey….. just great laughs like always another fav from me too tftc

A very neat and well planned multi. We always enjoy cemetery caches,
where so much local history is revealed.

Early start for the day by checking to see if this *FTF* is still waiting for eager hunter? Answer = yes! So off I go for a little trip up the road, goodies quickly in hand. Great to see a new cache in the South West, a fav point from me. It’s a great day for caching.

For anyone making Geo plans, do yourself a favour and visit Australia’s only current Geotour at Ballarat while it lasts: https://www.geocaching.com/play/geotours/ballarat-victoria
And for anyone that can travel to Longreach, Queensland, late September 2023, Google “QOGM” which is the Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster. You’ll have at least 8 or 9 days of pure geocaching fun with around 200 like minded people attending a mix of events and access to over 200 geocaches placed by the QOGM team. It’s not a Mega, it’s better.
