Lovely detour, we are enjoying all the birdsong on this walk. This bush seems to be a popular exercise area as it is quite busy with passing locals. Cache is all good . TFTC
A quick weekend adventure away with some of the Team SEAC crew..ahhh its been so long since we did this!!Had just started to read the clue and mr HeMaLuDy already had the cache in hand! Thanks for the cache.
A small group of us from team SEAC (Keylev, Stik-a-crane & Uncle Sam) came down this way for the weekend. Neat to have walks like this so close to town. With intel from the campground owner about walking times we decided we could easily do this before dusk. A quick find having read the hint as we approached. Signed SEAC to save space. TFTC.
Quick find here after a short detour along another trail, then a quick double back to head for the end of the trail......Was down this way with Keylev, HeMaLuDy, and UncleSamNZ, for a quick 2day trip to the Galatea foot hills, we had an earlyish, start from Auckland, our little group decided to take another stop here to continue the cache finding.Signed in as SEAC to save logbook space.TFTC.
My niece had been pestering me all week to take her walking. She wanted to do a good walk - One that would snap a particular body part in half (according to her)! I knew the exact place to bring her…
The Bird Walk - with just the right amount of hill climbing and steps - should do the trick… With no mobile coverage or saved data, we had no idea if we were on the correct detour track. The meters seemed to count down, but at ground zone we had no clues. We inspected many possibilities over several minutes. The niece took a long sideways look and spotted the cache in an area I’d just glanced over. Thanks Geckoh. TFTC.

Mr rattll headed out with the head lamp to get this one. This was a track he wasn't aware of, so it was an interesting foray into the unknown.
No problems finding the cache once at gz.
Thanks for setting it up

Nice detour. The stream is looking very inviting. Might have to reward myself with an ice cream at the dairy when I've finished the walk. Tftc
This one had us looking in all the wrong places. So decided to look at other options & eventually buzzybb found it. Our co-ords seemed to be a bit out.
Really enjoying this walk through here. This cache took a bit of searching for. Started looked in one place, with no joy. Widened the search and soon had cache in hand. Co ords jumping around. Tftc
Noticed this new series while passing through Whakatane. Dropped off Mr Rubbishparty at the top while Mrs Rubbishparty parked near the bottom. Happy that between us we found all ten. Similarly to the previous cacher this took a while but as it was found yesterday I wasn’t going to give up. Probably too fixated on the hint of the previous cache! Thanks geckoh for getting out among this awesome reverse.
Woke up to a lovely morning after days of rain
Decided a good walk was needed and I wasn’t disappointed. The bird walk is a beautiful walk, yes lots of steps buts lots of bird song and beautiful bush. This one took too long and I made it too hard. Just needed to clear the covering more Great walk along this track and I went a bit further and found a lot of seats in a circle. TFTC

FTF) 10/10 What a walk, thought it was going to be a breeze, but not so. Very excited to get all 10 as FTF’s. Gap had to do the one off the beaten track while I sat and got my breath back from climbing all those stairs., and detour bridge had me a little confused but found it okay. All cache locations and descriptions all good. Amazing bird life here, even said hello to a weka. SLYFTCaches
