Found at 1:50 PM GAFF1.Thought I could drive down to this cache, but had to actually do the walk - which was quite pleasant actually.Cache container is more of a "small" and was easily visible, so covered it up a bit when returned. Thanks to TeamJLBL
Geo dog feeling the heat . Saw the blue faced honey bird or Banana bird - so beautiful. Love the mangroves
Today, I was out in the geomobile heading North, in order to visit the Tin Can Bay area. This region has been on my hit list for a while, as there are two caches here that I need in order to qualify and complete a challenge cache. I started the drizzly day off in the Kia Ora area, working through Toolara Forest and Wallu, before arriving in Tin Can Bay for morning tea and some tree fishing. I then went over to Cooloola Cove, passing some caches on the way and doing a bit of wading in town. I then went to Rainbow Beach, passing Great Sandy NP and Seary's creek as I drove North-East. I then arrived to be greeted by constant rain, gale force winds and the occasional flash of lightning. Not the best conditions but at least it made all my searches muggle-free. I then rounded the day off heading up to Inskip Point to grab the new multi up there, before returning home back the way I came, down the M1 via Gympie. A great day for an overcast one! After parking not too far away from the pathway, I wandered over to GZ, to find the cache container sitting out in the open. Thank goodness I found it when I did! I signed the logsheet, which was in great condition, then rehid where the hint was fitting. Thanks TeamJLBL!
A beautiful walk to gz. Birds serenaded us all the way. Thanks TeamJLBL and fav point. Photo uploaded.
What a lovely walk. So peaceful and quiet with the bonus of finding a cache. A quick find here. TFTC
We had the opportunity to spend some time exploring the region and were lucky to have perfect winter weather for it. We visited some wonderful sites, enjoyed some spectacular views and discovered some interesting history along the way. A nice little walk down the track to GZ where the cache was quickly found. Thanks TeamJLBL
Followed a track into GZ only to find a seat nearby with two elderly ladies having a chat but luckily they were not interested in our antics several metres away. Cache found in good condition. TFTC
TeamJLBL I found your cache Walk in Tin Can Bay on 29/6/2024, 3:50PM. This is my find 6779 and find # 9 today. Found it after a brief search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
A nice short stroll to GZ from parking spot. Surprised to see a walk/bicycle path here Obvious spot once you get close to GZ. All good here. Plenty of room for many more names on log. TFTC TeamJLBL

In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location. (HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do. Thanks for an awesome effort. Devilish Brilliant and Clever I like it Another one off the list TTBLNSL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH - Team JLBL
Much easier than the other one here. This is the cache for my Goodbye 2023 souvenir!Tftc!
We stopped at the nearby trailhead location, and then proceeded to walk to GZ. A lovely spot, and the cache was a quick find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. I couldn't help but smile at this geocache's D-T rating of 1.5-1.5, given a previous conversation with the CO team just a few days before. Thanks [TeamJLBL](https://coord.info/PRZVVGN) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------During this trip, I travelled with [Freddo](https://coord.info/PR8C14) (who was visiting from Adelaide, SA) and we visited Maryborough for an extended weekend.Friday was the drive north, which involved the full day with stops in Nambour, Eumundi, Pomona, Gympie, Tiaro, and Maryborough, and highlights included the *Evil* series and the *Big Aussie Day Bash* series. The weekend's two days prioritised the *Jolly Brolly Folly* (JBF) series and *Geocaching 101* series, with a Sunday afternoon trip to Utopia Falls. Finally, Monday's itinerary included a few last geocaches that were in town, and we then returned home via Beaver Rock, Maaroom, and Tin Can Bay.A fun and rewarding trip with great company and friends, and we were rewarded with good weather throughout our trip.Today, it was our final day for our Maryborough trip, and [Freddo](https://coord.info/PR8C14) and I had final ambitions for a few remaining *Big Aussie Day Bash* series geocaches that we had yet to visit, and then circling back through town for one last time. We enjoyed seeing Queen's Park and had a late morning tea, and it was on to the Beaver Rock series. A few interestingly themed geocaches using our TOTTs, and then we returned home via the eastern ocean route before going through Gympie. There were a few interesting seaside towns visited, such as Maaroom, Boonooroo, Tin Can Bay, and Cooloola Cove.
Run forrest run.Freddo traveled north from deep south to catch up with friendly Liz and Bruce and the RV Home base crew. David Wazza provided a sturdy vehicle and we traveled in style. We had good weather. Not to hot. Not to rainy. Lovely one day and perfect the next. The caches were found in a blur of Which Is Next and Where Are We Going Now. Some caches were harder to find than others. Some caches we could see from the car. Regardless all caches were found in the last place we looked.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Parked out on Emperor st and did the 120 meter walk in to locate this one ~ all of this was done quickly but MrsK decided it was a good birding spot so it took a-lot longer to get back to the geomobile. Signed log kingfisherau 2:45 pm 3/5/2023 and replaced all as found,

After spending the morning with the dolphins, I swung by here to grab this cache. The cache was located after an extensive search in all the wrong spots. Tftc TeamJLBL ️
Our final find in Tin Can Bay for the day, and a lovely spot. We would have liked to spend longer hear and finish the wildflower walk, but time was against us. At least the midges enjoyed having some new legs to bite!. TFTC, TeamjLBL.
Weekend trip away before bub arrives with my partner. Lovely walk and quick find. TFTC
Loved this bike/walking track. Seat nearby to take a rest. Tape measure left for swaps.
Had to clean up the town of caches before leaving can’t have any little green dots messing up the map
A long time ago I heard that there was going to be an Australia Day event in Maryborough. It is a long way from home, especially for one day, so I ignored such whisperings. However, earlier in the week Chamad asked if I could make it possible to go up for the weekend. With the little turmoils needing to return to school on Friday, it had to be a whirlwind, very long day trip and I had to work out who was willing to have the turmoils and who could have the geopup. With everything in place, we made it happen from late Wednesday night to late Thursday night.
After the Australia Day event out at the weir, Chamad and I completed a few target caches in Maryborough and then headed to Tin Can Bay to clean out those caches before heading back to Brisbane. A very long, hot day but between these, new ones and ALs, we got around 80 caches in the area.
Only a short walk of 100m from where we parked.

Polishing off the last of the Trads before returning home. Good to stretch the legs before the drive home, TFTC TeamJLBL.
So with an upcoming event it Maryborough a plan was hatched to go along. After receiving a phone call asking me to come along, I was very happy to put my support behind this event to see its success. With Triple turmoil a plan was made, kids sorted, dog sorted, clothes sorted, fuel food drinks tick tick tick, ok let’s go. It was then a quick meet up and it was not long before we were on the road, Maryborough here we come.
The 4 o’clock deadline had arrived and we were just leaving Maryborough, right to plan. Now it is a drive to Tin Can Bay for some special caches and whatever else is in town.
We parked up and walked down to this one, an easy find no need for the hint, but it helps.
We signed the log and replaced all as found and then it was to the next one. Thanks for the cache, all good here.

Just a spoonful of sugar l helps the medicine go down! A Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious day with JACS and ARF to finish off the brolly. Grabbed some challenges and other interesting ones on the way. Caught up with chamad and triple turmoil to join in his 15 loop milestone. The extra long pole belonging to ARF was certainly an asset along with his and JACS super sonic vision. Special day indeed. Friends make the world a better place. Let’s go fly a kite!!
Thanks for showing us this walking track, would never have known about it otherwise. TFTC

After our 4WDing section this morning we are now determined to knock off all the caches in and around Tin Can Bay.
Fantastic day with this bunch. Maybe we'll make it home in time for dinner, maybe not.

After Davinells 4WD adventure broke up, a few of us continued on into Tin Can Bay with a plan to blitz the seven caches available… considering some of the D/T combos it could have been beyond us… but all 7 took less than 90 minutes…
A super quick find as I spotted the end of the container from some distance… tftc…

My friends and I were all excited about visiting Tin Can Bay and were so pleased to have stored all our targeted caches beforehand. The reception sure was not the best with little to no coverage available at all the caches we went to.
This was our quickest find of all that made up for time spent on the previous cache
Thanks TeamJLBL, our third find here today.

Hi there TeamJLBL, we found your cache Walk in Tin Can Bay today.
The family Christmas is all done and dusted. Now we’re continuing our own tradition of geocaching on Christmas Day. We started the day off by nominating a cache cluster in an area we would like to visit, and then took a route that was determined (mostly) by the next closest cache as determined by our GPS.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour around the area and ended up finding a variety of container types, sizes and ratings.
Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where our GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: There are two FTF’s here. One on each log sheet.
Regards
Ian & Penny

Having an old mate that lives around the corner,I’ve driven past this little path/s a few times and knew a cache or two to bring this local delight of an area to the knowledge of the caching community.
Thanks JLBL
