Two Finns backpacking and enjoying life. Our travels continued from Australia to New Zealand and arrived to Auckland yesterday! Today we wondered around the city and logged few caches on our way. This one was one of them, thank you for the cache!
Thank you for letting me finish my series: one Cache in or near every stay I was over night on my trip in New Zealand. TFTC
This evening we decided to go for a walk through the CBD of Auckland. On our way we found some caches. This Cache was easily found and is in a good condition.Thank you for the cache!
I had overshot this one earlier so I stopped by on the way back where it was a quick find. Traffic that was at a standstill earlier is moving somewhat better now that it is after 9 am.
Arriving from France, we landed this morning. After taking possession of our accommodation, we go for a walk on the quays. We will not fail to look for a few caches on our trip, Geocaching being part of our trip. Thank you to all the installers for the work carried out for our greatest pleasure. Greetings from France. Trip to New Zealand decided very quickly , but that did not stop us from preparing a small file of caches to search, as far as possible. The GC46 is, of course, at the top of this list! Our program should allow us to discover a large part of this country. 1st day: arrived at the airport *********Arrivs de France, nous avons atterri ce matin.Aprs avoir pris possession de notre logement, nous partons nous balader sur les quais.Nous ne manquerons pas de chercher quelques caches sur notre, lle Gocaching faisant partie de notre voyage. #4146 Today is day 29 of my geocaching vacation in New Zealand. I'm wandering around Auckland and geocaching.Found it! GeoRick, thank you for the cache! -crystaloops from Taipei, Taiwan on October 29, 2024 @ 14:48:18[GCA2P30] Rudolph is hiding in Auckland's CBD was a D1.5/T1.0 Small Traditional Cache at the time of finding.
Lovely thank you! Fun little cache! No pen with me so couldn't log on the paper. See you again!
Ruldoph is hiding in Auckland - was it his red nose that helped me find him? You will need to come down and see for yourself. Thanks for the cache GeoRick
In town for the evening for work. A chance to grab some caches. A nice stroll along the water front and another green smillie. TFTC
After a catch up with the Auckland FC supporters group, The Port, at the nearby Tyler Street Sport bar, I popped over the road to get the festive season started early before heading back to my car. Rudolph didn't take long to spot (well, feel) and I was soon on my way, humming a Christmassy tune as I went. Thanks for the red-nosed cache!
There were a lot of people around this morning. I guess that is to be expected when you cache around start time. Tried to make it look like I was catching my breath as I was catching the cache. The cache is in good condition.TFTC and the beacon.
Was the last day of our long weekend holiday having spent it all out of Auckland. Debating what we should do with our Monday off. Mrs NZT had ideas of house chores... BORING... I suggested we pop into town for some urban caching which we both liked as well as finding lunch somewhere..... She AGREED!!!!.Moving along the waterfront even more for this cache. Found GPS was about 11 meters out.TFTC
Clever wee CBD cache, found while on our Auckland holiday found with aalis_01 tftc
Evening wanders before the Iron Maiden gig tomorrow night so why not collect a fee caches. Thanks
Doing a walk along waterfront. Cache quickly found and signed. Thank you for the placement.
This was our fourth find this evening while killing time before our delayed flight. Grateful for a very specific hint here that made for an easy find in a very busy location, but thankfully only one cyclist passing us this evening, and nobody else cared what we were up to. TFTC!
Great to be home. Quick walk along the Quay, find #369 @12.20pm. Left trackable. SLRC as found. TFTC.
I'm now back in NZ, having spent the last couple of months in Europe, and today I'm traveling to pick up my car that friends have been looking after in my absence. This means experiencing the wonder that is the Auckland Transit public transport system. But seeing as I have all day to get to them, and it's a beautiful winter's day with blue skies and a reasonable temperature I figured that I'd have a good wander around Auckland CBD, which is a rare thing for me so there are a good number of caches for me to find.I took a stroll along Quay Street to grab a few caches along it, including this one. No problems making the find here, and with no issues to report with the cache, everything was replaced as found once I'd added my name to the log. Thanks for setting this one up.
Miss 5 was glad to find Rudolph to go with our earlier Santa find. Mr KBclan had this one spotted or felt and we were off again trying to cross the cycle way. It was very busy with scooter as disney on ice was on tonight. TFTC
After visiting Kelly Tarlton's today whilst it rained, we caught the bus back into the city. Following some souvenir shopping the weather had dried up, so I took the opportunity to find a few caches. This was my next stop & I used the satellite view to help locate where to search here & the coordinates got me close enough to spot the cache without recourse to the hint. I signed in a gap left by someone who obviously doesn't carry out cache maintenance before replacing everything carefully as found.Found at 16:15Cache #10394TFTC GeoRick
After dropping cragger off I had a couple of hours to kill before my next things so I thought I would clear out some of the caches in this area. Couldnt find too close a park so wandered along the waterfront from where I had managed to stop for a bit. It was a lovely day so no issues there. The coordinates seemed a little off for me but there really could be only one place to look based on the hint and there it was! Thanks for the cache
This is the last day of my Australia/New Zealand vacation trip. Had a couple of hours before having to go to the airport for my return flights to Texas, so I decided to grab a few additional caches.
Rather enjoying these keyholders with stickers attached, TFTC- adding photos to all logs
Gummi_Venus made the find here. The place across the street certainly is popular on a Friday night!
We are back in Auckland for a brief visit from Brisbane visiting our son for a significant birthday. We were passing by this one, so stopped for a look. Found in second place we searched. Logbook signed and replaced as found. Tftc
Had to dodge a cyclist before the search. Quick find on a sunny Sunday. TFTC

#14,569. I am up in Auckland for the week and have a meeting in the central city early in the morning so booked to stay in a hotel so I wouldn't need to fight the traffic early in the day. Had time for a short wander around geocaching before heading to the hotel. This was one of them. I spent too long looking in the wrong area before reading some past logs and seeing I had to shift closer to the road. Found soon after in a spot matching the hint. Signed the logbook and replaced as found. Thanks GeoRick for the cache.
Nice thank you. Picked up tb Sunny with MrOz62 from Illinois, USA on Princess cruise ship
