Only difference is - today we are walking them as we left the bikes at home.Went in the van and FUF009 came with us.Finished the Ad Lab, then it was out to Jubilee Lake to find us a cache and have a well earned cuppa and eats in the sheltered area. We finally got off the ferry late and after refuelling at the cheapest station in Geelong we started heading for Ararat. We stopped here for a leg stretch, lunch and a cache as we decided that the main drag to SA was too close to the bushfires. I was wandering around in circles whilst VK7HCH found the cache. Thanks for the find

A few spare days to fill before Christmas so I made the decision to hit the road and go on a road trip from Adelaide to Ballarat. The main purpose of the trip is to tackle the Ballarat Geo Tour before they get archived in February 2024. Day four was spent in the heart of Ballarat tackling some caches and Adventure Labs on the main drag. Then to onto the Eastern side of the lake. In the afternoon I went for an excursion out to Skipton to bag a new LGA. Quick find here. Thanks for the cache chooknchunk.# # SmileSmile #13849 SmileSmile # #

No one was playing here today so was able to find the cache nicely tucked away This week I decided to head to Victoria for a few days to target finishing off the Ballarat Geotour and also find the new series in St Arnaud, anything else was a bonus. I ended up finding a little over 300 caches plus a tonne of ad labs along the way. Thanks for the series

Interesting ....... we have never seen the lake so agitated!
Perhaps it was a whisper that not so far away in Ararat a special pre-cache-crawl, gathering of geocachers was planned for the evening.
Fortunately the cache was quietly awaiting visitors.

Thanks to chooknchunk for adding this cache to the gameboard.

Find # 12931

Headed down Skipton way for some caching, was only planning on a quick trip, but got distracted with a couple of opp shops n a Market, so they chewed onto a fair chunk of time.

Driving around doing the ad lab this was a short detour for the grab. Man it be a hard time finding when tennis is on.

Suscoe left home early this morning for a trip to the Western District.
It was a cool day with plenty of cloud and some drizzle at times.
We were amazed by the water sitting in paddocks and along the roadsides.
We enjoyed the countryside and the caching which changed as we headed west with plains, mountains, rivers and green fields.

Thanks to chooknchunk for this hide. a nice break along our journey today.
All quiet on the courts but the local large dogs were giving their vocal chords a huge workout.

Found it with hevwalker on our way home from a great longweekend in Ballarat getting the final GeoTour caches and my #5000 find. Also did 10 different cache types in a day, such a satisfying weekend of caching with great caches to find. What a surprise we had when we turned down the road and pulled up to jump out to find the cache. An amazing view was in front of us as we walked around the corner. After alot of scratching about we found the cache. Thanks for bringing us to this beautiful spot and contributing to my caching adventures this weekend. TFTC

13-Mar-23
scramping & I made our way to Ballarat for the long weekend on a mission to complete the GeoTour, which we accomplished. Today was home time, we collected a few caches along the way.

What a lovely area. I would not have known it was here if not for geocaching. I have driven through Skipton several times but never really stopped to look at the back streets (only Stewart Park really). Though, in October last year we had to make a detour because the Skipton main street was flooded so I may have been past here without realising Wink
The cache was found quickly, but as we were putting it back a family pulled up nearby. I bet they were wondering what we were doing as we emerged from the trees...LOL
Thanks for placing the cache, chooknchuck, for our enjoyment and thanks for catching up with us on Saturday. It was great Smile

{FTF} Joint with everybody that was there at the event.

Head up this way to help bring in the New Year And after camping in Skipton for the night with Roaming Howie and OzHockeyChick we got up nice and early and headed in to Ballarat to attend an event and a CITO.
Then a bit of fun back in Skipton and of course it would not be New Years Eve if I did not attend a chooknchunk event.
While siting around the event a new cache notification came through about a new cache that has just been published right near us.
Off we went and we soon had all of our names in the logbook.

Christmas is over and Hot Cross Buns are now on sale! It must mean it’s time for a holiday. A little late to the planning for this one as we had been busy working on other things. The concept of a caching trip with OzHockeyChick was born and so here we are on Day 6 of the Epic Road Trip - NYE festivities.

The alert went out as we were all sitting down to enjoy the festivities. Congratulations to everyone!

Thanks chooknchunk for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.
