Hlsningar frn Sverige, sdra Lappland ???? Then it was time for a little adventure. The trip goes to Sydney in Australia ???? and then on to Christchurch and Dunedin in New Zealand ????.On the trip are, Tigertassen, myself, ursus67, Lnganfans and Pidjas go, which means that we log under the common name "Tulp". The idea is that before we go home we should have visited a Megaevent, Geo Toroa. Greetings from Sweden, southern Lapland ????
We are four ladies from Sweden who are visiting Australia and New Zeeland We are logged as TULP This was one of the caches we found Thanks from Sweden
Four Swedish ladies driving around in Dunedin looking for caches and events. We log as TULP. Thank you
We are in Dumedin for the Mega and this is one of our targeted caches TFTC
Glad getting to this one turned out to be much easier than we initially thought. ??Signed the log and we were on our way again. Thank you. ??
LW and I both agree, this is NOT T1.5!!! Challenging under the conditions today so a bit of teamwork involved. TFTCand the fun, not to mention the puzzle.
Out on a rainy Sunday with Nosynel and MacPacMum. Thanks for the puzzle and cache. ??????#10763
There were several possibilities, but voices from below guided me to the right one. TFTC.
Talla64 and I are down from Kapiti attending the Mega. I suggested we do the Albatross geo-art series while we are down here, and Talla thought it a good idea. The puzzles are great and fun to solve, although I needed help with 2 or 3 of them. I apologise for this generic log but would like to thank Willbywarrior for this great series which took us to some beautiful areas in Dunedin. In fact plans are afoot to return next year as there is so much to see, and the 5 days we spent here were simply not enough. The Mega was a very successful event which Talla and I enjoyed very much. Thank you Wilbywarrior for everything. Logs were mostly signed FD/T64 (or T64/FD)
We are four ladies from Sweden on visit in New Zealand. We log as TULP (tigertassen, ursus67, lnganfans and pidjas). Today we visited some oldies and logged solved mysterys. The weather was much better than yesterday. We even saw a glimpse of sun. Like yesterday we found a caf and had coffee with some cake. Not as cosy as the one yesterday. Then back to the event, a bit late due to some (minor?) problem with the car.A big Thank You to CO for the cache.
Back in our hometown for a weekend of MEGA adventures.Weather looks to be improving since yesterday but still chilly for us now Bay of Penty softies!Enjoying another day touring around TFTC.
Thankfully I quickly spotted the cache and I went down the bank to get it. Found while geocaching with Busypaws and definitely not a 1.5 terrain rating for us more mature ladies
I spent today finding mostly solved puzzles with Willis007. Mostly park and grabs to avoid the rain. Quick find and logbook signed. Tftc
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there were staying near Mosgiel for a the long weekend, so we can attend the Geo Toroa Event we had attended the Official Opening Event of the Geo Toroa Mega Event hung around talking & dealing to the things that needed dealt to but needed to clean-up some Mysteries & Multis that were on our hit-list headed out just before lunch Mrs McMike2012 had solved the new co-ordinates a few weeks back this turned out to be an easy find, albeit in the wind & persistent rain, log-book completed & replaced as found were also pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... Dunedin MegaOut caching with barb2e, Smittengranny, isopeda and Joolay. Signing as Canberra Cachers Dunedin (CCD). GrimRaider, Joolay and I are in NZ for the Dunedin mega event. It is great to be back to see more of this beautiful country. Thanks for hiding this cache Wilbywarrior
This is the second day of my whirlwind visit to New Zealand - my first time in NZ.Today, I teamed up with barb2e, SmittenGranny, Joolay and Kittykatch. We signed the caches as CCD (Canberra Cachers in Dunedin) or with names. From the first cache - and event - onwards it was rather damp. But this did not dampen our spirits and we made good progress in visiting and signing caches to the north of the bay. It would have been nice to see from all the vistas we went to.I noticed that this cache is also nestled in a suburb with lots of streets named after birds and because I am also an avid birdwatcher this deserves a FP.TFTC
Nearly end of day. Rain getting heavier but need to get this side done Weather has turned grey, rainy and cold.Day 5 and meeting up with isopeda, smittengranny and barb2e. Signing as CCD-Canberra Cachers Dunedin, or names. Mega Day.Finally back in NZ and this time for a Mega. Starting in Christchurch before heading south. Lots to see and do with Kittykatch and Grimraider. Will be joining with others as the days go on.Thanks for getting me out and about Wilbywarrior

Cow (Otago)Dunedin MEGA Saturday! After a few days of exploring Dunedin as a tourist, it's time to focus on caching. Joining forces with some Queensland comrades, we hit the road, collecting great caches along the way. Signing our logs QLD + 1 to save room, we were pleased to see most of the caches had been recently maintained and enjoyed a great variety of hides and types.A massive thank you to all of the COs for the preparation, placement and maintenance of these caches. TFTC Wilbywarrior# 10630CheersWillis007

Despite the rain, Isopeda, barb2e, Kittykatch, Joolay and I travelled together today and we signed caches that we found either individually or as CCD, Canberra Cachers Dunedin. Our aim was to find as many Unknown caches as possible. We had spent many zoom sessions working together to solve these before we even travelled across the ditch. We found nearly all of them and after signing duties were completed, the caches were replaced as found. Huge thanks to all who contributed to making our visit such a success.Special thanks to Wilbywarrior for your incredible efforts.

Day 2 of my 6 day trip to Dunedin to attend the Mega and clean up all the puzzle caches solved over the last few years.Todays journey took us from the city via some of the new DT 81 puzzles to Port Chalmers and then back to Dunedin. Thanks for all the puzzles, caches, find, frustration and enjoyment. From here till almost the end of the day I did the rest of the caches with Richmond Lad and JoJo57. Great meeting them and chatted a bit more at each cache location.Little walk to this one
Wondered to track but the phone was a bit appropriate so looked about and found on stump but no luck. Hmm the phone thought it was 1m away. Then another look about produced a much more likely stump and there it was. TFTP
I am in Dunedin early to attend the Mega next weekend so naturally Im after caches in the meantime. This cache was found in good condition. Thank you for placing it and maintaining it for our enjoyment.
On the road heading towards the Mega via Port Chalmers now.I looked up and thought I saw the host. Walked up to find it wasnt. Looked around and then I fully understood the clue.TFTC
We have arrived in Dunedin for our first Mega this wknd. Set up camp and then out to find some caches. Solved the puzzles at home and now want to see the smileys on map. Left Mr C in car for this one, oh boy. Thanks for this puzzle and the cache Wilbywarrior.
Today was a mystery dot day and since I was out and about in the car and intending to visit the Port I decided on this one as it takes a little effort via bicycle. An excellent nearby pull out close to GZ. I soon realized that I needed to gain some elevation and soon found an easy way up. A few hint objects to choose from and I let my Garmin make the selection which turned out to be the correct one. Thanks.
**106/40/106pt** Clockwise on wing Albatross geoart No moooing cows along here, just road kill where others had been leaving their droppings near the cache hide. What a stink they leave behind; it would be good if we could be rid of them but they spread unchecked after their introduction. Regular trapping might catch them when they return to familiar places. Difficulty on a regular walk was stymied when half the hillside gave way, but not as spectacular when they decided to remove all the luvly trees. I will miss the smell of pine walking over here; now the fly tipping has been left exposed. Noice position at the GZ to have lunch people watching, dry and tucked away. sized hardcover light blue logbook. Reg minigrip ripped, obviously too small for the logbook with greedy grabbing hands; now baggy is missing but the goods are still ok. Left covered under extra rocks and duff in hide, the colour suits the cache well. No swag, laminated muggle sheet. *8,437,717pt Day 25* TFTC WW
About six weeks ago I came down to Dunedin for the first time since the last time I was here, and while I was here I noticed a puzzle geocache that hadn't ever been found, for over a year. So once I was back home I solved the puzzle and came down again this weekend to find it.Once that was done, I went off and found some more geocaches. Specifically those that made up the Albatross geoart, and I managed to find all of them. It was an excellent day's caching that I enjoyed very much. Especially good was the almost always spot on coordinates, good parking at most locations, and usually useful hints for those tricky hides (except the fake rock one, that wasn't so helpful). All good here, the cache was found safe and well.---Thanks to Wilbywarrior for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.
Cache is brand new and well conserved. Log is is very neat. Nice hiding place! Thanks for the cache!
Trouve ! / Found it ! Joli spot, dommage que quelqu'un y ai balanc tout ses dchets mcaniques. Si les prochains peuvent emmener de quoi faire un petit nettoyage de la zone, a vaudrait le coup...4855me cache trouve.Merci Wilbywarrior pour la cache Nice spot, too bad someone threw all their mechanical waste there. If the next ones can bring something to do a little cleaning of the area, it would be worth it...4855th cache found.Thank you Wilbywarrior for the cache
I left Warrington with the ebike this morning planning to ride from Port Chalmers into Dunedin. Oops, the weather is not looking too flash ahead for the bike ride so I decided instead to make this a cachemobile run to sign off solved mystery caches, with the odd find of other cache types that happen to get in the way. I approve of the way all the caches that I have visited today have had places nearby to park my cachemobile off the road. Any easy find, for I spied the container from above. TFTC Wilbywarrior.
One of my favourite types of puzzle to do. Driving along this evening we parked up short of the coordinates so walked a way up the road thinking we could see several possible hiding spots. Then realised the GPS was pointing across the road. GeohoundandI went up whilst I moved the car. She spent some time looking at the biggest hiding place before remembering what the hint said and then picked up the cache
thanks wilbywarrior for the puzzle and the cache. quick find today after a roadie to visit my Dad
It is time to sign off a few of the Albatross series of puzzle caches.I'm starting to get over jigsaw puzzles after doing the ones a tad further south.Cheers for the cache, Wilbywarrior.
Parked up and went looking. The lady of the property below stopped to see if I needed help with my car. When I explained the situation she was most interested. Thanks WW.
#23343, This cache was further from the road than many others in the series. Found a good route to GZ, and made a quick find once there. TFTC.
I couldn't see any safe parking on our side of the road, so dropped StreetWalkerNZ off ear GZ and carried on a bit further, where I found a good parking spot on the other side of the road (luckily the road wasn't busy). By the time I had parked to my satisfaction, and started to walk back to GZ, SW appeared having done the paperwork. TFTC.
Like these types of puzzles, handy on a rainy day solve. Today weather was fine so off up the road gathering a few finds of the albatross series. Parking good near GZ and an easy climb to the cache. Surprised (but not really) that there was a TB9304E which was not logged into the cache. Will grab and keep it safe. Tftp Matt
I approached from the top, finding a nice wide path to follow. Then went for a tumble just as I discovered the hiding spot, but didn't damage anything. Cache nicely hidden and discovered a TB. TFTC.
Well that was a "cow" of a cache. Mrs VDH56 did the honors while the rest of us looked on. She managed to go to the correct one first time.
An afternoon with P&Vee and hubbies geocaching, Mrs vdh56 volunteered to chase this cache down. Tftc
Todays main objective was a day trip to Oamaru. Before that I made an early 5am start this morning to find some of the Albatross Geoart caches. An enjoyable couple of hours of caching before breakfast. A short scramble to grab this one. Another great series of caches, thanks for setting it up. TFTC
We had a choice of hint objects and spent time looking at all of them - until the right one was spied. Found with Spoonz2
Don't have a cow, man! Try another hint object.....until there it was. The poor cyclist had stopped for a drink as we arrived, so he climbed back on his bike and into the wind. Found with Debsnz.
A shorter loop this morning, so we could get home before the rain that was forecast. Choice of three left down here... An enjoyable run down to the pull-over and walk up to the hide, but a bit more than 1.5 terrain? Nice sturdy plastic screwtop.
Oh yes - we saw the dark clouds moving north - and did get caught by the rain on the way back!
Oh yes - we saw the dark clouds moving north - and did get caught by the rain on the way back!
What a great day in Dunedin, gabbing a few caches around the the place, 100% today no DNF, most unusual. Many Thanks - Bitsprayer
I see someone else has commented on the smell! Very agricultural whiff around here. Nice little climb up and a clamber over branches and the container was soon in hand. Looks like I made an error when I did the first sweep through this series of caches as I had written a note on the cache page that suggested this was a difficult puzzle and had put it in the "Do Later" pile while we focused on the more straightforward caches in the series. Coming back to it and reaching out to the CO for assistance revealed it was actually quite straightforward and similar to others in the series. So don't know what I did to mess it up but all good now. TFTC.
Nice hide, thank you. My GPSr was a few metres out due to the tree cover but it was still an easy find on a very cold day. I parked downhill and walked up.
A straightforward puzzle and a quick find after making our way to the unexpected cache location, certainly higher than 1.5 terrain. TFTC
The smell. Phew. Gees! Funny little spot, but perfect for a cache. Quick find thanks!
Few options at GZ, but managed to align the GPS and the hint for the FTF before the snow got too heavy.
