this is a busy road early morning, finding parking spots would be a lot harder with a car, at least my geomobile is smaller, tftc
Day Eight (29/10) OH MY GOODNESS. The weather has just turned beautiful, the land of the big white cloud is turning it on today. It is our last full day in Dunedin as tomorrow we head back to Christchurch before flying home to Brisbane. We still have a few target caches to collect and some places we still want to see. A drive to Port Chalmers and then up the mountains before finishing off in Dunedin and then a nice dinner. There are some great caches today and some amazing views. All logs were signed and all caches replaced as found. Thanks to the COs for these caches.
Was down here for the Dunedin Geo Toroa Event from the sunny Bay of Plenty,Tauranga and are with some of Team BoP. Great to get together with our fellow cachers. Signed Logs MDF. (McJandals,Davidson clan & NZ Flossy) and have teamed up with our fellow bop mates for the last couple of days Squirrel Nutcase and Fap and Gap. (Fangs)I am logging using the Cachly App and using their template option which helps with my memory for logging. I genuinely thank every CO for their time and effort put into these caches. Much appreciated. . Trying to catch up with my logging.
With rebel98 finding a couple of caches before flying home after attending the MEGA Another one of them completed on a cold July night, now spring and today the sun is shining Thanks for the puzzle series Wilbywarrior
Found with ThatDarnBear and JustlookingOO as we travelled around collecting Albatross and 'oldie' caches. The container was a bit wet inside, but the log was OK.Thanks for the puzzle and cache!
Thanks so much ?? for maintaining and creating this hide Wilbywarrior. The weather was not like the cache photo today. It's drizzling at the moment.
We are four ladies from Sweden who are visiting Australia and New Zeeland We are logged as TULP This was one of the caches we found Thanks from Sweden
Four Swedish ladies driving around in Dunedin looking for caches and events. We log as TULP. Thank you.
Hlsningar frn Sverige, sdra Lappland ???? Then it was time for a little adventure. The trip goes to Sydney in Australia ???? and then on to Christchurch and Dunedin in New Zealand ????.On the trip are, Tigertassen, myself, ursus67, Lnganfans and Pidjas go, which means that we log under the common name "Tulp". The idea is that before we go home we should have visited a Megaevent, Geo Toroa. Greetings from Sweden, southern Lapland ????
We are in Dumedin for the Mega and this is one of our targeted caches TFTC
Quick and easy find today. Weather is intermittently awful and Ok!! Found with LW. TFTC
Out on a rainy Sunday with Nosynel and MacPacMum. Good team work! I get to drive while they make the finds. I did solve them all though! Thanks!#10761
Day Thirteen of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris. The Mega day today and we spent it around Dunedin. We spent the morning doing some AdLabs around the city, had lunch in the Octagon, then went north to Port Chalmers in the afternoon. Finished off at the Prize Giving event at the Mega.Another jigsaw completed. Today we checked to see if we had it correct. Thanks, Robmc.
We are four ladies from Sweden on visit in New Zealand. We log as TULP (tigertassen, ursus67, lnganfans and pidjas). Today we visited some oldies and logged solved mysterys. The weather was much better than yesterday. We even saw a glimpse of sun. Like yesterday we found a caf and had coffee with some cake. Not as cosy as the one yesterday. Then back to the event, a bit late due to some (minor?) problem with the car.A big Thank You to CO for the cache.
Talla64 and I are down from Kapiti attending the Mega. I suggested we do the Albatross geo-art series while we are down here, and Talla thought it a good idea. The puzzles are great and fun to solve, although I needed help with 2 or 3 of them. I apologise for this generic log but would like to thank Willbywarrior for this great series which took us to some beautiful areas in Dunedin. In fact plans are afoot to return next year as there is so much to see, and the 5 days we spent here were simply not enough. The Mega was a very successful event which Talla and I enjoyed very much. Thank you Wilbywarrior for everything. Logs were mostly signed FD/T64 (or T64/FD)
Day 13 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc and our fourth full day in Dunedin and the weather is still challenging our caching aspirations. We spent the morning doing Ad Labs around town picking up the occasional physical cache as the weather allowed and then headed out to Port Chalmers to finish off what we started. Then onto the final event to say goodbye. Thanks for contributing to the fun Wilbywarrior
Back in our hometown for a weekend of MEGA adventures.Weather looks to be improving since yesterday but still chilly for us now Bay of Penty softies!Enjoying another day touring around TFTC.
I spent today finding mostly solved puzzles with Willis007. Mostly park and grabs to avoid the rain. Quick find and logbook signed. Tftc

Second day in Dunedin and the rain overnight continues. After attending the morning event and some essential shopping we braved the weather for some solved puzzles for the Albatross and a few other targeted caches. Caches signed as CCD for Canberra Cachers Dunedin for Joolay, Kittykatch, Smittengranny and isopeda or as individuals for the challenges. Tftc
Dunedin MegaOut caching with barb2e, Smittengranny, isopeda and Joolay. Signing as Canberra Cachers Dunedin (CCD). GrimRaider, Joolay and I are in NZ for the Dunedin mega event. It is great to be back to see more of this beautiful country. Thanks for hiding this cache Wilbywarrior
This is the second day of my whirlwind visit to New Zealand - my first time in NZ.Today, I teamed up with barb2e, SmittenGranny, Joolay and Kittykatch. We signed the caches as CCD (Canberra Cachers in Dunedin) or with names. From the first cache - and event - onwards it was rather damp. But this did not dampen our spirits and we made good progress in visiting and signing caches to the north of the bay. It would have been nice to see from all the vistas we went to.TFTC
Rain rain and more rainWeather has turned grey, rainy and cold.Day 5 and meeting up with isopeda, smittengranny and barb2e. Signing as CCD-Canberra Cachers Dunedin, or names. #21204; Day four of the GeoToroa Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune and our better halves. After a couple of nights in Queenstown, arrived in Dunedin yesterday for the Mega weekend. Today started with the Mega Opening Event and a nearby LBH before we hit the road with McLookers and feathertop for the Aeroplane series, followed by some challenge caches as well as a few in the Albatross series along the way as well. The weather was not kind with steady rain as well as the occasional heavy shower as we made our way around some interesting terrain, including some quite wet, steep and slippery dirt roads. Logs were signed/stamped "Aussies on Walkabout" or "AoW" on behalf of our group and then returned as found. TFTC Wilbywarrior
One of many puzzle caches solved months ago in preparation for the trip.Signed this afternoon in atrocious weather with Mclookers, Sol de lune and Luckyl10n. Signed as Aussies on Walkabout or AOW.Thanks for your hide..
Collecting solved puzzles and completed challenges on a hill route into the city. Down for the mega. Please excuse the generic log. Thanks for placing each and every on of your caches, including those I can't solve or can't find.

Boulder Beach (Otago)Dunedin MEGA Saturday! After a few days of exploring Dunedin as a tourist, it's time to focus on caching. Joining forces with some Queensland comrades, we hit the road, collecting great caches along the way. Signing our logs QLD + 1 to save room, we were pleased to see most of the caches had been recently maintained and enjoyed a great variety of hides and types.A massive thank you to all of the COs for the preparation, placement and maintenance of these caches. TFTC Wilbywarrior# 10632CheersWillis007
Day 1 of Mega caching! Started with an event, then some albatross puzzles (and anything else we spied on our way), and finally a very wet CITO! A lot of fun had in spite of the weather. TFTC!
Headed over from Australia with LuckyL10n, McLookers and feathertop and after completing the airport series we headed back towards for as many as possible in this series. With the weather not playing the game, we managed 12 or so before calling time...with those found in good condition. Logs were stamped as Aussies of Walkabout, or AOW...

Despite the rain, Isopeda, barb2e, Kittykatch, Joolay and I travelled together today and we signed caches that we found either individually or as CCD, Canberra Cachers Dunedin. Our aim was to find as many Unknown caches as possible. We had spent many zoom sessions working together to solve these before we even travelled across the ditch. We found nearly all of them and after signing duties were completed, the caches were replaced as found. Huge thanks to all who contributed to making our visit such a success.Special thanks to Wilbywarrior for your incredible efforts.

Day 2 of my 6 day trip to Dunedin to attend the Mega and clean up all the puzzle caches solved over the last few years.Todays journey took us from the city via some of the new DT 81 puzzles to Port Chalmers and then back to Dunedin. Thanks for all the puzzles, caches, find, frustration and enjoyment. From here till almost the end of the day I did the rest of the caches with Richmond Lad and JoJo57. Great meeting them and chatted a bit more at each cache location. Not great parking here.
Was a bit concerned on arrival of the chopped down trees and mounted fence, however the cache was safe and sound. TFTP
I am in Dunedin early to attend the Mega next weekend so naturally Im after caches in the meantime. This cache was found in good condition. Thank you for placing it and maintaining it for our enjoyment.
On the road heading towards the Mega via Port Chalmers now.A quick park and grab. Good views note that the pine trees have been harvested.TFTC
We have arrived in Dunedin for our first Mega this wknd. Set up camp and then out to find some caches. Solved the puzzles at home and now want to see the smileys on map. Thanks for this puzzle and the cache Wilbywarrior.
Cache all good. Cleared up some rubbish around the parking spot. The cache now has a view!
**111/45/111pt** Clockwise Beak finish Albatross geoart What used to be a luvly walk down the road on warm Summer days with the smells of pine needles and flowering currant bushes has been totally ruined by all the pine trees on the fenceline downhill into the gully and across the ravine to the next hillside harvested. Completely devoid of standing trees and now a battlefield of digger tracks and timber slash where ancient fly tipping has been left exposed and visible from the roadside parking; runoff from the blocked broken culverts scouring the verges just runs down the ruts into the gully below. A landslip from a previous storm came down across the road near the last farm before Blanket Bay. The current worksite harvesting the trees retreats over the top paddocks to the Upper Junction farm sheds where the logging trucks park up so you have to give them plenty of room to turn around. What used to be a snuggly hidden away cache is not so dry now. Exposure to muggling, we are not putting anything of value in there for the thieves anymore. Clear 400ml lockdown sistema, RITR logslip in mini. Muggle sheet but no swag. Sat on one of the big pine tree stumps counting off 50 odd annual rings and what a beauty it would have been to hide behind signing the cache. We haven't been down to Boulder beach, just too busy and it looks like a long way from civilization. Now the traditional cache has been archived and container removed from the GZ. **40mt offset** We have signed the ignored 20 counties cache finishing up the geoart sinking back into the harbour completing logging of all 45 signed caches we qualified for. TFTC WW
Another mystery dot day bites the dust. I had an early appointment and after that I headed on through town and then the long slog up the hill. It was quite chilly up here with the NE wind and cloud but this cache was a good excuse for a bike ride. Condition of the cache is great. Thanks.
About six weeks ago I came down to Dunedin for the first time since the last time I was here, and while I was here I noticed a puzzle geocache that hadn't ever been found, for over a year. So once I was back home I solved the puzzle and came down again this weekend to find it.Once that was done, I went off and found some more geocaches. Specifically those that made up the Albatross geoart, and I managed to find all of them. It was an excellent day's caching that I enjoyed very much. Especially good was the almost always spot on coordinates, good parking at most locations, and usually useful hints for those tricky hides (except the fake rock one, that wasn't so helpful). All good here, the cache was found safe and well.---Thanks to Wilbywarrior for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.
Trouve ! / Found it ! J'ai hsit sur le bon ct de la route mais les coordonnes sont bonnes donc... 4857me cache trouve.Merci Wilbywarrior pour la cache I hesitated on the right side of the road but the coordinates are good so... 4857th cache found.Thank you Wilbywarrior for the cache
I left Warrington with the ebike this morning planning to ride from Port Chalmers into Dunedin. Oops, the weather is not looking too flash ahead for the bike ride so I decided instead to make this a cachemobile run to sign off solved mystery caches, with the odd find of other cache types that happen to get in the way. Funny there is no beach anywhere near this GZ. Nice easy find. TFTC Wilbywarrior.
Sorted the numbers earlier in the week, quick find tonight on a quiet road. Initially went to the wrong hint object, but realized my mistake. TFTC
Another puzzle I enjoyed piecing together. After being treated to ice cream we ended up with a trip out here to collect a bike (the luck of having the mystery hire car which turned out big enough to fit stuff in). A quick find this evening before it went dark and rained again.
It is time to sign off a few of the Albatross series of puzzle caches.I haven't one of those here in Otago so he not one of mine.Cheers for the cache, Wilbywarrior.
#23341. Time to start heading down hill. The road is certainly narrower. TFTC.
My memory is failing me as I thought I'd be able to remember each and every cache this morning. I have made no notes about this cache find, and the hint doesn't help remind me about it either, but I'm sure it was another great one in this fabulous series! TFTC.
Coffee is getting closer! Several possible hint objects and, of course, I chose the wrong one and StreetWalkerNZ chose the correct one. Fortunately the wind had died a bit by then, or maybe we were in the lee of the hill.TNLN. TFTC.
Parked up and an easy find. Surprised (but not really) that there was a TB1951N which was not logged into the cache ho hum. Will grab and keep it safe. Tftp Matt
Out for a day of caching with Sunflowers26. Another quick find for us - in fact, when we first looked at the receiver we were 5m away. A very good start for our day's caching - four from four. Thanks for the entertaining puzzles and the start of a very fun caching day!
Choice between washing the car or going geocaching...............well no guess what won.
Out for an afternoon of geocaching with P&Vee and hubbies. Great find thanks to P&vee. Tftc
I've done so many of these puzzles recently, I actually can't remember what I did to solve this one - but once solved, the cache didn't take long to find. I've enjoyed the jigsaws, but no idea how those on the leaderboards get there so quickly! TFTC.
Todays main objective was a day trip to Oamaru. Before that I made an early 5am start this morning to find some of the Albatross Geoart caches. An enjoyable couple of hours of caching before breakfast. We visited the boulders the last time we were down this way back in 2020. Another great series of caches, thanks for setting it up. TFTC
The good part about solving all these puzzles is getting out to find them and we had a good day, being blown from one cache to the next. This was our final find for the day. Found with Spoonz2
We were just about blown away at this site. So glad I'm not arriving on a plane today! Met a confused local who had seen a "road closed" sign, so we reassured him that we had just come through and it was clearly open. Found with Debsnz.
A beautiful day here today; had no trouble finding the cache. I enjoyed this puzzle, TFTC.
Beautiful lichen nearby the cache.
Beautiful lichen nearby the cache.
On the way back after a walk, arranged to park at the junction and walk back down a bit for the cache.
The last time we were at Boulder Beach, we were lucky enough to bump into DoC staff releasing two hoiho who had been underweight so were in the wildlife hospital getting back to a healthy size. They were feisty enough to deal out a few good pecks while being debagged, then they wandered down the beach looking very relaxed and dived into the surf.

A straightforward puzzle and a quick easy find, although currently access is a bit difficult as Stevenson Ave is still closed to vehicles. TFTC
After the rain earlier in the day it was actually quite nice out as we worked around some of the new caches in the area. TFTC.
LOVE these puzzles! Finally getting through more of them and was able to go and collect some of the finals today!
