Due to a bird nesting in or very near to the hiding spot, I am choosing to disable until I can safely remove the cache and place it somewhere more suitable to protect the natural habitat for birds.
The bird nesting in the hole sitting on the eggs caused me to cancel my search.Hunter
Cache was found after a short search. Thanks for the fun. Cleaning up Victoria with gridge98. We are on a mission this week. Completing twenty finds in Mexican local government areas is the challenge. Another find with the correct criteria. It is in Victoria and we have not accumalated twenty finds in this local government area.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is Fryer's day the eighteenth day of the octavus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit windy today. It was so windy today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. We circled the tree for some time here today, found a parrot laying eggs in the tree hollow cache is well away from it Travelling around Victoria with Freddo for a week finding caches as we go. With two challenges on our radar we were in full force. All logs signed with our names or F+g98 for the smaller caches. Thanks for the cache
No luck today but I didn't look for long as I had my little one with me whose attention span had run out. I'll be back another day.
A quick find on a family trip to the coast..glad I wasn't blind last time and it was actually missing. Someone has written a few unsavoury things in the log so I have hidden a bit better. Thanks.
There is no sign of the birds here today. The cache was spotted on approach, on the ground. After stamping the log, we replaced it in a likely looking spot, out of sight of the few practising their cricket skills on the other side of the reserve.
Lucky find today then almost left but double checked and found it with us signing the first new log sheet. TFTC
Cache was indeed missing. Has been replaced with a new log. If there is further problems with birds or wildlife around the cache I will archive or move this.
**Tue, 02 Jan - 14:31**With 4 consequetive DNF logs, perhaps it is time for some CO attention?
14:31We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, but today there was no way we could work this one out! We're a tipp'n it's a miss'n. We did see evidence of birds nesting/resting low in the tree. Thanks for the hunt anyway EggplantHat. 36312
As I began my search, I inadvertently disturbed a bird that is nesting in a hollow in the tree.I personally feel (as a professional wildlife carer) that this geocache needs either relocating to a different tree or archiving.*I will watch with interest to see what happens here.*#my2bobsworth
In the area for work and decided to look for a few caches in the cold wind afterwards. Searched for about 15m around the whole tree but couldn't turn this one up. Thanks anyway.
We were in the area and only a slight detour to check out this cache. No muggles in sight, so it was a relaxing search and the cache was soon discovered. HOWZAT?
Thank you EggplantHat for the fun cache.
Thank you EggplantHat for the fun cache.
Out and about with Tiz13 for another one of our weekly caching adventures, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles.
Today's chosen destination was the Wonthaggi coast and down to cape Paterson.
This is one of the caches found today. The Muggle was a bit of a problem, but I distracted her while Tiz made the find. I was sure it was going to be a cricket ball but it was not.
Thanks EggplantHat For the cache.

Howzat!
Now that I've found where you're at
It's goodbye
Well howzat!
It was a day of singing random songs that fitted the caches Rebel Acts and l were looking for...so this Cache was no different..at GZ we had a lady and her dog looking at us very suspiciously. Figuring RA could act as decoy I jumped out and made the cache find, while she kept suspicious eyes on RA.

Bike ride and lunch at the Cally.
This fairly new cache was the closest so gave it a go.
At GZ a quick search and the cache was located. Log signed and all back safe again.
Thanks EggplantHat

Out on my own today I staying at Cape Paterson track and your Easter break. I only had a couple of to do and this was a nice easy fine but good hiding location. Thanks for the cash cash in excellent condition.
We were over in Wonthaggi today for our annual eye check. I found out my cataracts are growing and will need an operation in a year or so. Might as well use the eyesight I have as much as possible looking for caches. I’m sure there was a cache here, approximately, when I started geocaching 8 years ago. After reading the hint The_Evil_Muggle got out and joined the hunt. We leapfrogged each other searching the tree. Of course he found it! The hint was accurate. Thanks for another fun cache in Wonthaggi. I hope there’s more soon!
Love having new caches to find in the area! Thanks for placing this one and hope you have many more to come. TFTC
Found 4.33pm 31.12.2022 - ngs suggested food at his house and I had planned to use my daily walk to find this cache while it was still 2022. Last time I was invited to his I stayed a couple of nights so I said we'd need to detour a little to get this first. Interestingly when this was published I was staying at his after he'd had a short hospital visit so hadn't remembered it was there to tease me on the map.
So the plan was put into operation and ngs, miss10, miss7 & I did a slight scenic drive, found, signed & returned cache as found. A lovely almost fresh log sheet to sign. We managed to have one close muggle and his very friendly ball holding dog and were able to do what was needed out of sight. Thanks for the cache.
Nice to manage to find a cache ... only 4 for me this year but that was twice the number than I logged for last year!

Found at 3:20 PM GAFF1.
We have been here (Cape Paterson) for a few days now and have already experienced all kinds of weather - just yesterday we were body board surfing and enjoying the sunshine. Today it is quite windy and cold, but at least it meant that there was no one at the oval. Went straight to GZ and found the cache immediately in a very nice and safe spot. Like the container btw!
Thanks EggplantHat.
