Walking along the channel trail and finding cache after cache after cache. I am so glad I did not have to dig that ditch. Looks like it was all done by hand. Tough old guys. Caches were all in good condition expect for one that was missing. Watch out for bee hives in the gate post. It fact there are bees in many of the fence posts as well but you usually do not have to go there.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is friggjar-dagr the twentieth day of the septimus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit cooler today. Not so windy today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. I'm planning on doing the Heysen trail at some stage and when I saw these lines on the geo map I decided to do some of them and also check out part of the trail. This definitely breaks up the long walk and gets some other muscles going. TFTC

In the cold mist of June, with several layers of clothing and some mobility assistance, we tackled the channel series, and very glad we did. There were multiple times that Darryl Kerrigan's voice was in the head. How's the Serenity? Beautiful peaceful country with wildlife aplenty. There were some challenges but we managed to find them all in the end. All caches in good condition except one.

Had a day out with Detofinbars in the mobility cart doing Channel Country series. We were fascinated with the scenery and views, which included some sections of nice greenery after recent rain. All caches were found and in good condition, unless mention in log. After finishing enjoyed a couple traditional drinks at the Spalding Hotel, before heading home to our own local pub for a few more drinks and a very enjoyable meal. A great day had by both of us. TFTC

Away for the June Long Weekend with TheWhiteDogGang. We based ourselves at Orroroo and travelled far and wide over 4 days. We managed 1,500 kms during our travels. We managed to find some really old caches, one from 2001, and even managed to get all 9 terrain ratings. Not bad for 2 old farts with no coordination. The weather was dry if not cold on occasions.A good way to spend 4 days. One of the targets of our trip. The weather held off as we completed the series.TFTC

Part of the beta placing and maintaining team. Nice wanders. Still blown away by the amazing feat of engineering and sheer hard yakka work in its day. Thanks for the cache listing ClareValleyCaching and the ongoing care I share in. Cool------------------------------ Cool ------------------------------PS:Don't forget to put the SA June Long Weekend in your diary for 2024 too... leap back into the 80s - GCAK1D5 - Lameroo's Ludicrous Legwarmers CoolBig GrinCoolBig GrinCoolBig GrinCool Caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids, occasionally AI too! (And a little rubber stamp ) Work gets in the way - and some may take longer to log than others due to mixed technology and need for sleep! The skill and talent of some Zenior Zombies helps, and maybe a spot of luck too [:o)] I do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log... someone actually did read to the end and alerted me to just a project GC badge that requires long logs. Is that all? Oh well, thanks for reading!Well at least it's not as bad as finding a mint tin! TwistedDid you get that... stop putting out rusty mint tins, just stop it, now!!! Big GrinC'est fini... For now... ... until tomorrow! Cool

Travelling Australia in our caravan since February 2014.

With magnificent weather forecast we were up making lunch, loading the bikes onto the geocruiser fairly early (for us).

We saw a large snake on the mid north channel trail, many kangaroos and bobtails whilst out and about.
Crops looking great in this region. We are waiting for harvest to start on York Peninsula, gonna be a while yet. WinkRazz

We are off on a trip to the Birdsville Races and then across to Queensland - the plan is for about 6 weeks of travel - all going well.
Week 1 we have travelled from Portland to Farrell's Flat near Clare.
Day 9 we packed up our camp and ventured 50kms to the town of Spalding that is sadly lacking in tennis equipment.

After an early lunch we jumped on the bikes and started the channel caches. What an unusual change from rail trail rides - very rural and the cache placements were generally really easy to get to from the bike tracks.
Thanks for contributing to our holiday ClareValleyCaching

Travelling with iluvtrekking up the WA coast to Darwin, down the Centre and in the Flinders. Basing ourselves in Peterborough for a few days to grab finds in the surrounds. The Geo-men decided on a biking day so we were dropped off at the start of the track while our wives cached in the area. Beautiful day for cycling and caches found without problems. Thanks ClareValleyCaching.

Travelling with richlink from Perth to Darwin up along the west coast and home again through the centre and the Nullarbor, picking up caches as we go. Based in Peterborough, we are exploring some of the surrounding areas. The boys cycled the Mid North Channel while the girls picked up the nearby caches. TFTC Clare Valley Cachers.

This morning after waking up in Jamestown I headed down to complete a small section that in the mid channel series, a nice few caches and all east finds thanks to the hint

With a few days off back in Adelaide I decided to head to the mid north again after still having some caches to find up this way from my last visit 2 weeks ago, nice to be driving around on the back roads exploring new places and seeing the country side.

Thanks for the cache

Cache too high, me too short, no ladder. Could touch it, just needed to be 5' 10" I reckon. TFTC CVC, will be better prepared and return another day.

Seems we finished this trail how we started it….with the ants. These ones were a little smaller than the ones at the first cache however, but the ant dance wasn’t so easy in the position I was in! ‘FTF’ with Picca2. Thanks for our morning adventure Clare Valley Caching!
