Will add this to my maintenance list. And will try add gps averaging if usual method not working too well!
Looks like it maybe missing again?, could CO please get better coords for this area it seems to be all over the show
DNFI found a black piece of wire it might have been attached to, but nothing is there
3rd time here 1st time is was replaced, went a few days later to find the replacement with no luck, and now again with still no luck, the gps coords are not the greatest here and could do with the co going and updating them so checking the whole length of fence is needed for future finders
Again, an unhelpful ambiguous hint didnt help track it down. Better hint please, left of gates? low down or or higher?
That was in fact gone. Replaced bison all good hereChocolate fondue (Manawatu) maintained at:11/02/2024 8:00PM
First DNF, looked around a decent length of fence but no luck! A lot of overgrown grasses it may be hiding in
Went out for a christmas day find. This is one of three straight DNFs in a row! This is the third DNF in a row on this cache, so maybe I didn't find it because it is actually missing.
Another DNF. Damaged to gate. Not sure if it's still there. Will try again in the summer
Day 4 of our 7 day streak attempt for the WoC July Challenge. We will be content with the medium level.
We didn't notice any pong from the Pooh Factory , as we always used to refer to it. The wind wasn't blowing towards us fortunately.
This cache was the second of three we visited in this area today and was our most difficult one. We simply couldn't find the cache where the GPS indicated and nearly gave up as we thought it might have gone and the whole area was pretty wet and not pleasant to be moving about in. Before we drove off however we looked at logs and thought about where it might most likely be. We then made another attempt and went fairly much straight to it. That was a relief. TFTC JoeyGE0

Out and about again today to round up another cache for another souvenir.
Nice quick find here on a relatively muggle free day.
Thanks for the placement and the smiley

Out on a bike ride catching up on local caches. Good to have a bike and be able to lean it right at GZ and not draw attention to the search. Good coordinates and quickly located (trampled grass helped!). The lake here was popular with ducks today, and no smell. Do I say thanks for bringing me here? Thanks anyway JoeyGE0.
Not at all smelly , fine out here today. and it was an easy locate, sign and returned to its hidey hole with no muggles any where insight today . all was well with the cache , I took nothing and left nothing , thank you for this cache . I like the name for this particular cache placement !
Grateful to not feel the delicate touch of tiny water droplets whilst here despite the impressive water agitation happening. Easy find and on the way. Tftc
Mum is helping me log all my caches that I haven't logged yet.Found with Mum (LL113) and a big group.
Out and about in Palmy on Easter Monday with a group of fellow cachers in town for EtherLord's Easter event later this afternoon. Signed as MELT. Between us, we made short work of locating this cache, but not quite where coordinates were pointing us to. All good in container. Tftc!
(# 7676) On an Easter trip to Palmy to grab a few caches and attend an event. Walked along the track with Etherlord, LL113, TwigNZ, Matagouri, and a few GeoKids. A quick find. Thanks for bringing me here.
It's Easter weekend, and I'm getting to spend a bit of time with some of my favourite humans.
Etherlord was due to hold an event this afternoon, but before then I was keen to get out and about and look for some of the caches that have come out in the last few months. In this endeavour, I had several willing accomplices including Etherlord Clan, LL113 and Matagouri, all of whom were happy to boost their numbers, either for help with the current Wheel of Challenges souvenirs or else with Palmy being such a target-rich environment for a couple of them.
Lots of chatting and laughter amongst the 5 adults and 4 kids whilst walking from Skid Row to this one. Then we get to GZ, or at least one of us goes over 'there', and another goes a few metres a different way, and yet a 3rd goes a different direction again... The find was made in a sensible location, and once all our devices settled down we collectively agreed (ish) that the co-ords were acceptable.
Whilst the log was having our names added, I watched what I think the CO was referring to with the cache title, although personally I think Chocolate Fountain would be a bit more like it.
Thanks for bringing me here, in spite of the smell (which was almost non-existent here today)

GCHQ have issued a challenge of finding 100 caches in the month. This should be doable for me, but will completely wipe me out of any local finds to be able to participate in the other challenges they're issuing over the next 5 months - whatever they may be.
The lower level of the challenge is 5 finds in the month and the medium achievement is 10 finds. This seems a more realistic target for me to complete.
We are currently 1/3 through the month and this is find number 4.
Having just come from finding Slid Row, this was a fairly quick find despite all our phones/GPSr's saying it was about 5m further into the grass area.
I forgot to look for the naming object, but I'll believe you that it's there. The noxious aroma seems to agree with you...
Found by Team M.E.L.T. (Matagouri, EtherLord, LL113, TwigNZ), along with EtherMiss, SkyCraneKid (fka EtherBoy), UnicornLex, and Mr McGloo!

Have come to Palmerston North to attend Etherlords Easter Shindig, and I need to do some caching while I am here towards the current challenge to find 100 caches in a month. I haven’t found many in Palmy so have plenty to choose from.
Out caching this morning with Etherlord, Mr Magoo, TwigNZ, Matagouri, and a few GeoKids.
A quick find at GZ.
Thanks for the cache.

After finding the near by cache I walked to this one. I searched multiple locations before finding the cache in the first place I suspected.
It's an interesting view here if you ignore the contents.
T F T C JoeyGE0.
I was heading into Palmy for ultimately some caching as the main reason I went in feel over mid morning annoyingly.
On the bright side I found eight caches and got in a couple of walks.

Out on this beautiful evening on my bike to get these nearby caches. Just read the description and forgot about paying any attention to a nearby fountain, but the penny has just dropped. My Father worked for awhile as maintenance man on a private island and his job was to monitor the waste water treatment plant. He assured me after treatment it was fit to drink! Certainly to look at, you would be hard pressed to identify which glass had tap water and which glass had the water from the treatment plant. Perhaps it is all in the smell. Tftc
#14,575. Park, walk and grab off Totara Road in Awapuni, Palmerston North. The GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Found after a short search. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.*Thanks for the geocache placement, and for bringing us to this site, and **.T h a n k s. .f o r. .t h e. .c a c h e.**.M a u r u u r u. .k o e. .n u i. .a t u. .h o k i. .t e. .k e t e r o k i.*
Having just managed to be first to find a nearby geocache be the same CO, from the same 'series', and as the aroma form the nearby processing facilites was not too bad, I decided to try for the other caches, and this was one of them.
A short drive down the road (although I'm not sure if its meant to be a road or not) followed by a much quicker find here than the last one as the coordinates were spot on and the hide options wwere considerably less.
Thanks to JoeyGE0 for placing and maintaining this cache.
I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.

Found this afternoon after a DNF on the other one nearby.
The treatment plant does a great job... it was less smelly at this one.

I was signing the log book at 'Lucy the Dinosaur: A Treasure Hunt' when the notification for this one came through, then the phone rang. When I arrived near GZ, W.E.K.A. and markhnz had just replaced the cache. Thanks JoeyGE0 for this cache.
Found with W.E.K.A. I was still in my togs because I had just finished swimming at the Lido when the notification came through. It took us a while to find, despite the fact that the coordinates were fairly accurate and it wasn't that hard to see.
Nice hide.
Thanks.
Nice hide.
Thanks.
It took us a while to find this little cache, despite looking in the correct place initially, but just not seeing it. An odoriferous FTF with markhnz at 11.12 a.m. TFTC
Quick find at this deserted area. 1st of a new series I believe. Thanks JoeyGeo.
