Logs
GPS coordinates were a little all over the place, so spent a lot of time hunting in the wrong spot. Expanded the search and quickly found. Log was a bit wet and could do with replacing
I had a muggle on my trail so had to loop around and bush bash a little more than usual because of this the find was a lot easier. Second place I looked. TFTC
Found on the way to a leap year cache event in order to get four of them before dark! tftc
Date: February 10, 2024 Time: 1:43 PMFind #14360After the nearby first aid event, I headed out with heliKelli to find a few local unfound caches. This one took some time to narrow down with us both walking in circles u til I spotted something not quite right. Bingo!Massive thanks go to pwala for placing this one.
Too nice of a day to go home after attending a nearby event so ahomburg and I headed out to put some more smilies on our board. Took as a little while to find as it was a bit tricky by ahomburg had keen eyes.
Sorry, I forget to log it. Excellent hide fav from me Found it. Thanks, pwala for placing it.
After meeting up with a friend for a walk along the Dandenong Creek Trail we digressed a little to locate this cache. After searching around where the GPS took us without luck, with the help of the hint and widening our search Mrs Pooky spotted the cache which was visible on approach. We SL and hid the cache a little better. TF placing this cache for us to find on our travels.
15:12After the magic of the Lights, Camera, Action, GIFF! Event this is one of the caches we able to find before heading homeward. Thanks to pwala for hiding caches in interesting locations. 36027
A nice early evening dog walk to pick up this one that has been smirking at me for too long.An instant find here that involved a little bit of skill and plenty of luck. Accessing the log was kind of hard work but it was such enough free. It should be just that tiny bit easier for the next person. TFTC
Found at 12:20Just time for this last cache before I need to get lunch and head home. This could have been tricky but I luckily I spotted something out of place at I approached. Thanks pwala for the cache
Came for a walk in this park with the family after having breakfast nearby. A tricky hide, but the hint certainly helped. In good condition.
I finally got off work on time today, and how else is a cacher suppose to spend his spare time, but cache of course!
So my target for today was to complete [TanSaf's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=8aeeaf3b-b31c-4bbf-8e7a-ce4f715d155d&wid=d7b58492-a1fc-4c67-8d1b-0d3a4d24cdec&ds=2) [Dog walk sniffs series](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCAC2YW).
However, I finished off the series a little bit earlier than I expected and so I was keen to to do just one more lol.
So I looked to see what other unfound traditionals I had nearby and spotted this one. So I hopped into the geomobile and made my way over to [the recommended parking coordinates](https://www.geocaching.com/seek/wpt.aspx?WID=650a7f5d-244d-44c5-8c77-24ed1aac201f&RefID=24c5b379-c844-4903-89df-a4b6127d58c0&RefDS=1).
By the time I got to the car park, the sun was long gone, but it also meant that there was no muggles around at all. I then grabbed my head torch and made my way to GZ.
A beautiful little pocket of nature out here, I will definitely have to come back during the day to explore the area a little bit more. Once I arrived at GZ, I spotted several possible hiding spots. I figure this one was going to take me awhile.
However I spotted something out of the corner of my eye that looked a little bit different.
*Ooo! What do we have here?!*
I won't spoil anything, but what a very creative hide.
A big thanks goes to [pwala](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=3266370c-e5c7-4303-a534-7680a1724bd8) for the very fun and creative hide. TFTC.

The cache camouflage on this one looked great, such a creative idea for camo. The actual cache container was in good shape and the logbook was clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.

Found with icw. I regretted not bringing my GPSr as the signal on my phone was fluctuating. icw spotted the disguised cache before I did. Tftc.
Yep a little out of place. But relatively quick find once facing in the right direction Renee Geyer well nearly haha TFTC done with
Was about to give up on this one, as it was getting dark but I thought I’d give it one last go and saw something that was a bit “out of place” or perhaps “not like the others”…
Good hide!
Good hide!
After claiming a FTF on a TDOC23 puzzle further down the line, I stopped off here on the way home to find this one.
Apart from leaving the track sooner than was necessary, the find of the neatly constructed hide was quicker than I thought it might be.
All in good condition.

This has been on my radar for a while and today was day to change that green spot on the map into a smiley. For some random reason I had imagined that this would be a difficult find. I couldn’t be more wrong. It was a relatively quick find and a nicely fashioned cache. Thanks pwala for placing the cache.
A simple, but creative and clever hide. This could have taken much longer. After some wandering around searching obvious spots I waited for the GPS to settle and then did a good 360 scan and spotted something a little unusual. I had looked here on the way in but it escaped me the first time.
We found this cache today on our Late Saturday Afternoon Local Wander. A short wander and luckily checked something suspicious at about 5m to go when I was still on the way in. Our 7th cache find in this park with one of them found in 2018 and just 17m from this spot. Thanks from D & H B-A
What a great cache. Spotted something a little different. Excellent construction. Thanks pwala.
Very cool hide. Took me a while but success eventually. Lovely day for a stroll around the area getting a few caches. Favourite from me. TFTC
In the area on other business and decided to stop off for a cache or two. Nice quick find. TFTC
I had a little bit of time and had the notes of a previous finder so this was a quick find for me here today. This is a reserve that I am very aware of as GT37 played netball here for years and H E Parker is the father of one of GT37's friends. Thanks for the cache.
I managed to walk right past this one but my partner in crime is a bit more thorough and spotted a telltale sign of a very sneaky hide. I really liked the stopper.
Thanks pwala for this great cache in this great area.
Chiefton!!!

We were aiming to find our 8000th today but needed another 5 before the big one, but we also needed the weather to play nice!! We had chosen a group of caches but then quiet1_au pointed out one was a tree climb so we had to cross that one off and find another one, so although it was in the wrong direction, it was the closest unfound traditional that wasn’t a tree climb, so off we tottled before meeting up with quiet1_au. After finding that one, we were a bit late arriving at the meeting place with q1 - whoops! Time to find no. 4 for us today… oh it’s a pwala cache… cool!!! We made our way to the pretty GZ and wandered around. Eventually q1 investigated a place we had walked past on the way in and there was the nice hide. Good one!! Walking back to the car we decided that the weather and the time had got the better of us so we were not going to make the milestone today - oh well, next weekend!!

Third and last cache for the day for GJMMelb and I as the light was failing. Parking a little tight as it was busy with muggles nearby but they weren't an issue for us looking for the cache. We looked at many possible spots before I headed back to a spot we passed on the way in and investigated something I noticed then. Ah ha - gotcha! TFTC
OHC and I were on our way to our Auslan/Puzzle group and needed to grab a cache for Blue Switch Day. This was perfect as it was on our way. It had been raining all day so we were a little concerned when we got to GZ but all was great and the cache was found with no problems and no spiders. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.
On our way to an evening of auslan practice and puzzling with this cache's CO and GJMMelb. Geoturtle37 and I both still needed to find a cache to qualify for the Blue Switch Day souvenir.
We noticed this green dot on the map, and noticed it was a new pwala cache! So we headed here (in the dark) to find a cleverly made cache. A favourite point heading your way.
Thanks for bringing me here by placing this cache, pwala

Heading home after an event earlier this morning and some more geocaching this afternoon, still needed a couple of trad's.
Quick find as I had found the location once before but the cache was missing
**Thanks for placing this cache pwala**

Second time lucky for this clever cache. A Corking good hide, I must say. TFTC!
In between daughter's netball games I popped out to look for this one. Found after about 10 minutes in a place I had already looked twice. Tftc.
Out for a morning ride with the geo kids.
We decided to go in search of a couple of local caches. After a few minutes of searching we had the cache in hand. A very nifty hide

I struck gold. The cache is definitely there, but it did take me quite a while to sniff it out. I wandered around checking out the vegetation, and was about to abandon the search when I spotted something different. This is a very clever hide.
I don’t know, I looked all over the clue at the GZ I might be wrong but I think it’s disappeared, il keep an eye on future logs to see if I was wrong
Crustyvarmint and I had met the previous evening and arrived near GZ for the search. We found a very likely spot but no cache. We did however find another container that belonged to another cache - since deactivated, and discovered that this must have caused some confusion. We removed this container and Crustyvarmint attempted to the CO. We then headed off for another challenge. Fortunately the CO replaced the cache very promptly and today Lyn and I are back. The container was quickly found in the spot that had been empty a couple nights earlier. Thanks to pwala for the cache.
After failing to find this the other night, I was delighted to see that the CO had replaced it so promptly.
This is a great area to walk the dog, so we returned this afternoon, logged the find and had a wander along the trail, followed by a splash in the creek.
Thanks pwala.

Thanks to two geocachers for reporting me this morning that the cache is missing. I will replace it today.
Out on my own today after sitting with granddaughter at the market. Been to this park before and really enjoyed it. Nice piece of work here. Thanks for the cache.
When Mrs B & I sought this cache out I asked: "WTF? What has this got anything to do with a Boxing Day Test match?" Well as it turns out the answer is *sod all* . . except that it's close by to a sporting area (H.E.Parker Reserve) where all manner of sport is played including cricket and, I'm sure, aspiring cricketers who would dearly love to participate in a Boxing Day Test match!
As usual Mrs B stood by the track while pointing in the general direction through the scrub where I should go to find the cache . . and like the obedient, suffering subservient half of this "partnership" I complied (or there was no dinner for me tonight!). *Alas, the struggles one must bear in life!*

I was just about to write a write note because I lost my pencil on the way and I looked up. There’s a pen thank you to the person that left a pen behind and left it there in my eyesight. You are the best

Out and about with Rebel Acts once again to have some laughs and put some smiles on the map.
After attending a local geo event we did a few of the surrounding caches before the day got too hot.

***A test match to remember!***
>Warner caps milestone Test with 200 at sweltering MCG
Not content with a first Test century in almost three years, David Warner continued to 200 before retiring hurt in his 100th match for Australia.
*A huge day out caching in this area today with Cybergran V and nirgalagrin.*
Many different sizes and styles of hides were found today.
The variety certainly kept us entertained from Dawn till well past dusk.
**Thank you for this cache pwala.**
A lovely reserve to walk in, with all the dragonflies keeping us company.

Continuing a fun day with CybergranV and n0w0rries...
CybergranV's last Victorian LGA... I call that a good reason to visit and find a few in the area, and get a walk in besides.
This was our incentive for the walk... and we'll worth it.
Thanks, pwala.
The dragonflies were out en masse, er... enjoying the evening.

Found with Ddman a while back, sorry for the late log great to see another cache in HE Parker
When Muggle Hubby was alive it was always good to sit back, relax, and watch the Boxing Day cricket, after a hectic Christmas Day.
This year I had the pleasure of watching it at my daughter’s place in Queensland, after a beautiful feed of mud crabs, lobster, oysters and prawns. Yes I was definitely spoilt.
Just as I have been today on my birthday.
n0w0rries an nirgalagrin took it upon themselves to make today a special one for me.
Thanks pwala for this cache which added to the enjoyment of the day.

A nice sunny afternoon, perfect weather to be out finding a cache or 2. At gz there were countless possible hiding spots for a micro . Eventually spotted something that looked out of place.

We were on the way home and a little voice piped up from the back of the car - "Can we look for one more cache?" My favourite question - and the answer was yes! We navigated towards this and after parking close by, we walked the rest. There were a few mosquitos flying around so our searching was interspersed with trying not to be dinner. I ended up making the find and the youngest was suitably impressed. TFTC pwala
When I saw a new cache had dropped, I added it to my list of caches to find next.
Approaching from the riverside instead of the stone path meant I got the pleasure of crossing a makeshift bridge before discovering the hiding spot.
Very clever hide ! TFTC !

Since I was nearby with Fleabag- doing Mister Doctor's new letterbox and I was driving past here on the way home I stopped by in a deserted park and made the short walk into GZ.
I had a quick look where my GPS said it would and stupidly moved on, came back a minute or so later with a proper look and found the nicely concealed cache right where the GPS said it should be.
Thanks pwala for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

FTF!!! What a beautiful morning to quickly run out and grab this FTF. What a great way to start a merry day and continue the festive spirit. Great cache in a lovely peaceful spot
Second to find, by five minutes!
We narrowly missed an FTF last week, so when this was published this morning it was the perfect opportunity to jump in the car and go. We knew it was BernieH territory so we didn’t think we actually stood a chance. As we drove my daughter kept checking the cache page, and when a write note from BernieH came through we thought it was gone. Then we read the note. Still up for grabs!
As we got closer we saw that Pinacle333 had just beaten us. All good
Walking to GZ we saw a gathering on the path near GZ.
After finding the cache we saw it was the CO and the FTF team. We then stayed for a chat, sharing geocaching stories and MEGA stories. It’s always great to meet new cachers. Mozzies were crazy.
A great way to spend Boxing Day morning before the watching the test. It’s going to be a hot day!
Congratulations pwala on your first hide and Pinnacle333 on the FTF

Damn, was here a week ago for an Orienteering event, could have been a timely find. Still perhaps I'll get in before Bernie!
Hmmm, I should be in the car racing for this now but with 38 family members coming for lunch in 3 hours, the misses would have my guys for garters.
Maybe tomorrow
