Logs
After a morning CITO Mr CNQ headed up from JCU to find a few of these caches this afternoon. Found after doing a pass through some rather clingy chinee's thanks for the cache TessabooTSV
Continuing on the quest for the never ending souvenir drops I decided to continue on the hill that I have unfinished business with. I first checked GCA356H in the off chance the CO had visited and replaced and hasn’t cleared the needs maintenance log but it is clear that she too has a whipper snipper problem.
I then continued up the track as there was one close by, cut off track when needed and then fought every single crab apple tree on the way to finally locating the golden eye.
Really must do something about these cloth eyes.
Thanks TessabooTsv for placing this Traditional for my 1993rd traditional find. Almost bringing home the gold BadgeGen star. Appreciate your effort here.

I'd been saving these for the final instalment of the (tedious) Signal Labyrinth Souvenir. So today, despite the inclement weather I set out to collect the series.
I thought the cloud cover and drizzle would be a nice change from the scorching ball of fire that has previously accompanied me on this hillside. Another planned change in my approach was deciding to follow the trails and not go 'off piste'. The positive thinking on both lasted about 20 minutes.
It wasn't long before I was soaking from a combination of the rain and humidity and trying to cut corners by straight lining it up the steep terrain. But that was only a minor inconvenience compared to my iPhone's screen refusing to accept my moist fingers. This made navigation very tricky, adding plenty of extra steps to my journey. When all said and done the iPhone showed I'd walked 11km and climbed 117 flights of steps to collect the 9 in the series.
The step count increased here, but I should have stayed on the path a little longer as an early exit had me caught in the maze of crab apple trees. This added to wasps stings which had swollen my right hand earlier in the day had me cursing the CO’s choice of placement. I even went as far as comparing her to another infamous cacher who seems to enjoy this type of torture.
After retreating to venture forward I soon found a better route to GZ and I retracted my thoughts as I signed the log.
Thanks Tessaboo. I think.

Despite being often in the area of those caches during my daily life, I have never been up this side of the hill. So it was a pleasant walk up the stairs to make the find of this [FTF] Some wildlife enjoying their breakfast was spotted and the views were taken in. Thank you very much for placing all those caches along this scenic trail. Very nice and I see why this is a good daily exercise.
This one took me way longer than it should have as I was navigating between the spikes of the greenery. In the end, going past the big one brought me to the golden eye.
