We are almost out of Angus territory now so just a couple left for us to find. Stopped here on the way to Miena from Liffey Falls to collect this one. Nice quick find and sign. TFTC Angus
Went with some friends to find this one. It is a micro one not regular quite tricky for me to find. Thank you Angus for all the fun adventures you have brought me on around Tassie!
This was a really fun one! Not where we expected at all but obvious once we saw it.
On my way to Devonport, this was another on my list to find today. Parked not too far from GZ, walked over to make a quick find in the 2nd place i looked.SL back at the GeoMobile at 11:29 on Monday the 22nd of April 2024.The cache and contents are in great condition and are dry.TFTC Angus88 [The day was sunny and mainly still and there were a few fishermen in boats out on the water today ]
Nice fast find after a huge day out exploring through the lakes with the family. TFTC Found with LittleBoo17
Today we decided to tackle the caches in the Great Lake highland area and picking a few caches along the way and this was one of them.A big day 10 hours in total with a meal at Miena pub making a great day out, a long one I must say. Many thanks for your cache placement.
We headed out early to find the newly published GCA geoart caches on a glorious spring day. This was the fourth GC cache for the day.finding 31 GCA finds and 5 GC finds in total. A nice day for a drive in the area with the temperature reaching a balmy 21 degrees. A couple of boat trailers here taking advantage of the great weather conditions. TFTC

After arriving back in Tassie on the Spirit this morning, I decided that the Great Lakes route would be more fun. There was, however, very thick fog as I made my way up to the plateau. Fortunately the weather started clearing once I descended to the lake, although there was a chilly "breeze" blowing. Fortunately the cache was a quick find, and I got intrigued by the anchor points for the jetty on the boat ramp. Thanks for the cache, Angus88; a nice way to honour some memories.
Heading home through the lakes to avoid the midland highway roadworks and because it's a lovely drive. Time was on our side so we decided to find several caches up here including this one. A nice and easy find. TFTC!

A bit of a random stop this one and it was busy too, goose had his eye in for this one.
A day trip up to the Lakes to find (and refind) some caches, a great day out, some easy and some harder finds.
Straight after parkrun this morning i meet gooseandegg at our normal coffee shop and after a few minutes chat the goose loaded his gear in the 4WD and we were off heading North for the day.
We almost made it to our furthest target cache without stopping but called for some GCA caches along the way, after grabbing some stunning views from a new budgie cache we headed to the last one and started on our drive back after a short detour.
The cache of the day was a out of the blue surprise showing me a location i had no idea of and a feature i didn't know existed in Tasmania or Australia.
It was dark and 9:40 before I got home, almost 11 hours and 460km made for a good caching trip.
Thanks for the cache.

This is as far north as we came today, time was running out and we still had a lot to do in the return journey. A quick find once the obvious site was spotted. Busy at the boat ramp this afternoon; but why not, it was a sunning day!
Thanks Angus88
Thanks Angus88
Travelling with Angus 88 over the highlands. It’s very interesting travelling past all the little caverns that are obviously used for people who like fishing. We arrived at the boat ramp and I found the geocache that Angus left here. Thank you very much for this cache that’s it
Today was a big day, with nearly 500km covered. The main aim was the 'Something Smells Fishy' wherigo series, with a few other targeted caches along the way. Then the plan was to head up to the Central Highlands before returning via a circuitous route to pick up a few more specific caches of interest.
I got away quite early, but unfortunately the fishing pole series took a lot longer than I had anticipated. I almost pulled the pin on the Central Highlands, but it was such a beautiful day, I thought I should continue with the plan, albeit a slightly cut back version. All in all I was travelling and caching for almost 14 hours, resulting in about 50 cache finds - not a lot for the time and distance, but they were mostly specifically targeted caches that I was keen to find.
I spent quite a bit of time up around the Central Highlands - summer and winter- in the late 1970s through to the late 1980s as a part of my work. I have some great memories and its always nice to come back.
The cache was soon found and is in good condition.
Thanks Angus88 for the cache.

Forgot to log this the other day. Tftc! I’ve been enjoying pulling up to a place and finding another “angus visits” cache. It was a nice stop to eat lunch off the road
After having a few very relaxing days in Devonport decided to drive home over the lakes to avoid the road works on the Midlands highway. Targeted a few drive by caches on the way and this was one of them. What a glorious spot! Beautiful views of the lake, the native bush and the interesting rocks. Saw the cache as I approached, so after signing I endeavoured to hide it a little better. Thanks for encouraging me to stop here Angus88.
A top day up here. Found on way back.from Lake Ada.
Easily found with cache in top nick.
Many tftc Angus88, much appreciated...cheers ST.

Well because the Lakes Rd is the only viable way to get to Hobart at present with all the road works on the Bass and Midlands Hwy, we naturally have plotted a geotrail to follow as well
This is the first and a newbie. Pity people have to be sodisgusting in areas like this. TFTC Angus.

Needing to be in Hobart for family matters and of course caching I decided to go via the highlands, a slightly longer drive but without the hassles of roadworks which plague the Midlands Highway. I made my first stop here. A quick find, sign and replace was made.
We had a gap today in our regular sized caching calendar and were pleased when this cache was published. After meeting other commitments earlier in the day, we headed to the Great Lake. The weather was pleasant and it was a good afternoon for the drive. On arrival, accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find of a nicely hidden cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. There being no other entries in the logbook, we will claim {FTF} at 15:15. Thanks Angus88 for the cache overlooking a nearly full Great Lake.
