Without any of the notes for this cache we searched and searched for near on an hour but did not manage to find it.
Now I know why........its not there

30-Dec-03
Seasons greetings and all the best for the New Year.
I visited the site and followed the directions - got to within 4 meters of the cache site but as has been mentioned by Wayne & Kathryn in September, the cache is nowhere to be found. Spent about an hour looking around and mainly downstream of the site - all with no luck.
For those interested in the area, revegetation and weed removal works are in place all along the river.
Here are two shots of the area as at Dec. 30.

Now to try for another geocache.....

Enjoyed the walk down from the road, but I can't say that I liked the mud. I found the cache area ok, but the cache was not to be seen. There has been a lot of water pass through here recently, and most of the blackberry bushes have been poisoned. The cache may have been washed away.

12-Jul-03
Went to check on this cache today and it has been washed away by the river, however we spotted the cache in the middle of the river on an island. If you want to find this cache, at the moment it isnt far away from its original co-ords but if you want it you will get wet! maybe you might want to wait a while.

well I went in on a full frontal approach1 straight through the trees until I crossed the dirt path at the water line. Yip! that path is almost at the new water line. The closest I could get to the cache was 13 metres and that was right at the deepest, most gum boot defeating depth I could get to. I fear your cache is under water now....

3.45PM, found it fairly after worked out with co-ordinates at the starting point and discovered there is no black path except newly concreted path since installion of cache. Decided not to use this path and went left to find the dirt track and followed. Turned right into the trees on dirt track. Lid was off from the bucket when it was found under the bark. Drained the water out from the bucket and cleaned. Placed it back with firmly lid on. Logged and TN. Left a green key holder. Thanks for leading us to this nice site, John and Blake.

Looked high and low for this one.Couldn't find it. Three of us looked for half an hour. Looks like it may have flooded recently. But we still enjoyed the walk, I didn't even know this area was here.

Found it using new coordinates. 1:30pm Saturday. We hunted on the wrong side of the river at first but we worked it out pretty quickly. Took the waiters friend as we forgot to pack one for the days picnicing. Added a big bag of fake lego blocks for some kiddie.

Yet after another phone call.. Devar Finally found the cache.. Watch out for the BlackBerry plants.. and the 3 Large Bee nests close by..

Originally couldn't find this with the coords, a lot of searching, a phone call for the cache details and finding it moments before I as going to give up made it worth it in the end, though. i think I should prepare more, instad of just saying Theres a cache there according to the GPS.. lets get it! Does make it more fun when you know absolutly nothing about the cache, though. Smile
Took nothing, left nothing.

We found it too!!
Our first cache for the day, it is a lovely spot to bring the geoterriers for a walk. Not sure about in winter though, it looks like it might get a little wet.
We added a couple of extra bits and pieces along with one of our cards.
