Found at 12:40 PM GAFF2.Now this was worth a massive detour to get to and find! We needed this D/T to complete our next D/T loop and were in a quandary as to what to find after reading previous logs that some said they just reached up and got it and others couldn't even bring them selves to climb the tree!Well we arrived and spotted the cache and found that it was as we originally expected it to be. So went back tho the 4wd and extracted the appropriate TOTT and cache was retrieved in a few moments - no wind no hassles Thanks to dahumbug
That was a hard one it took a little while and I couldnt get my hands on it but I was up there and I wasnt gonna break my first bone treasure hunting
Had work in the north side and continued north for a select few caches. Some damp ground conditions getting into this one and a fire has been through so seed pods open and regrowth on the way. Plenty of black from the charcoal rubbing off. At GZ we did what we had to do hoping the fire damage was not too bad. The container is heat affected but not breeched. We completed the signing duties and re hid. A fav of course
Today, I was out in the geomobile heading North, in order to visit the Tin Can Bay area. This region has been on my hit list for a while, as there are two caches here that I need in order to qualify and complete a challenge cache. I started the drizzly day off in the Kia Ora area, working through Toolara Forest and Wallu, before arriving in Tin Can Bay for morning tea and some tree fishing. I then went over to Cooloola Cove, passing some caches on the way and doing a bit of wading in town. I then went to Rainbow Beach, passing Great Sandy NP and Seary's creek as I drove North-East. I then arrived to be greeted by constant rain, gale force winds and the occasional flash of lightning. Not the best conditions but at least it made all my searches muggle-free. I then rounded the day off heading up to Inskip Point to grab the new multi up there, before returning home back the way I came, down the M1 via Gympie. A great day for an overcast one! When I was planning my day out not too long ago, I was interested to note that there was a dahumbug cache hidden up here! I can definitely say I had some good fun here!. I parked at the end of Mallett street and made my way to GZ through the charred, yet swampy forest. It was kind of bittersweet, actually. The burnt out forest with the loss of all the beautiful foliage, yet small green shoots starting to reappear, as well as a great tree climb. Thanks to Brother Colin's recent visit, I was able to do this cache actually as the CO intended. I couldn't spot the cache from the ground, but I knew where it was most likely. I ascended the charred tree and was soon able to spot the cache. The logbook is in good shape, the container a little warped from the fire but still in good shape. Thanks for the climb dahumbug!
Today started as a sunny winters day and eventually ended up with a few light showers later on which made the day all that must better. A great day for going on an adventure finding geocaches. I parked the 4WD as close as I could, about 100m away from GZ. I spotted the cache quickly as it was at eye height. With my name added to the log book, I returned the cache to where I thought it belonged and headed back to the car. Now onto the next cache. Thanks for placing and maintaining this geocache.
We had made sure to bring the TOTT with us but found that it wasnt required as the cache has been replaced significantly lower than it should be. We considered changing it elevation but couldnt decide on a good spot to replace it so left it where we found it.Thanks dahumbug
A nice easy one to claim today just followed the Geo Trail straight to GZ. TFTC
Great nature walk.Found with Sillybugger and Pedronviv Luckily some sort of trail was found.TFTC
Tftc Bug, we were in TC Bay today to have the $12 lunch special at the Country Club. And that didn't disappoint. There were also no disappointments here as we were easily able to access the cache. Sign the log and collect the lovely D/T on offer here. Fave Point for that.
Parked just off the bitumen and in a straight line in the direction of the compass needle on my GPSr only 56 metere through slight under growth. Had my climbing TOTT with me but did not require it as I could reach it. TFTC THE NOTORIOUS B.U.G.
TFTC gumboots required...not as high as previous pics but still out of our reach today
Hmm, Im calling shenanigans! That was the easiest Bug climb Ive ever had to do and Ive done a few. Thoughts of crazy night time, rainy, tipsy owl escapades just to mention one. Here, I didnt even need to get on tippy toe to be holding the beasty in hand I did have a bit of a stumble in the mud because of my geocaching safety boots (read flip flops ) so there was that. Loved all the little sundew plants growing by the puddle on the way in too. Thanks for the cache Bug FP for you!
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location. (HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do. Thanks for an awesome effort. Devilish Brilliant and Clever I like it Another one off the list TTBLNSL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH - Dahumbug
We're out enjoying the scenery, and the geocaches, around Tin Can Bay, Rainbow beach and Double Island Point with HansandLinda on this beautiful day. I'd picked out a few caches to help with various challenges while we were in the area and this one will go toward our traditional-only loop which is getting closer to done.Hans and I wandered into the scrub here to locate the tree and decide if we were going to climb or deploy a tott. We considered the climbability of the tree and decided that we'd use the ladder instead so M generously lugged it into where we were waiting. Hans did the retrieval and brought the log down to ground level then I climbed up to return it to it's home. I'm not at my best at heights so using the ladder definitely made it easier for us.A favorite point for various reasons too lengthy to go into here. Thanks for find #5121TNLN
TFTC dahumbug your cache Bittersweet Epiphany that we found today.A day out with MeandDe around Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach. A lovely sunny day for a drive along the beach with good friends. A TOTT was employed and a quick up and the cache was in hand.Find Count: 17207
We ventured to Tin Can bay's south-east, and headed down Impey Avenue as the streets turned into dirt tracks. Once we felt we were as close as reasonably possible, it was a short walk up, and then a fun climb up the obvious large tree. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [dahumbug](https://coord.info/PR8W6P9) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------During this trip, I travelled with [Freddo](https://coord.info/PR8C14) (who was visiting from Adelaide, SA) and we visited Maryborough for an extended weekend.Friday was the drive north, which involved the full day with stops in Nambour, Eumundi, Pomona, Gympie, Tiaro, and Maryborough, and highlights included the *Evil* series and the *Big Aussie Day Bash* series. The weekend's two days prioritised the *Jolly Brolly Folly* (JBF) series and *Geocaching 101* series, with a Sunday afternoon trip to Utopia Falls. Finally, Monday's itinerary included a few last geocaches that were in town, and we then returned home via Beaver Rock, Maaroom, and Tin Can Bay.A fun and rewarding trip with great company and friends, and we were rewarded with good weather throughout our trip.Today, it was our final day for our Maryborough trip, and [Freddo](https://coord.info/PR8C14) and I had final ambitions for a few remaining *Big Aussie Day Bash* series geocaches that we had yet to visit, and then circling back through town for one last time. We enjoyed seeing Queen's Park and had a late morning tea, and it was on to the Beaver Rock series. A few interestingly themed geocaches using our TOTTs, and then we returned home via the eastern ocean route before going through Gympie. There were a few interesting seaside towns visited, such as Maaroom, Boonooroo, Tin Can Bay, and Cooloola Cove.
Sent the boy up the tree again. It was that sort of tree.Freddo traveled north from deep south to catch up with friendly Liz and Bruce and the RV Home base crew. David Wazza provided a sturdy vehicle and we traveled in style. We had good weather. Not to hot. Not to rainy. Lovely one day and perfect the next. The caches were found in a blur of Which Is Next and Where Are We Going Now. Some caches were harder to find than others. Some caches we could see from the car. Regardless all caches were found in the last place we looked.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Currently staying at Hervey Bay, we ventured down to Tin Can Bay today.
We parked near GZ and made our way in with the TOTT. Mrs "T" then spotted the hide so up went Mr "T", say I mention very carefully and signed the log and crawled back down to terra firma. Enjoyed exploring the area, and your cache was one we found along the way.
Many thanks for placing this cache and adding to our geocaching experience today.

Haven't been to Tin Can Bay in quite some time. Usually approach from Gympie but today we came down the road from Maryborough. Fabulous drive. And a fun tree climb. Didn't have any problems with stuff sticking to me. Thank you so much for the fun
I was up in Tin Can Bay and surround caching grabbing a few I need. This was one on my list. It was a long day today.
I had lots of fun today.
The funny part I left few good D/T caches behind for next month or the next one after that.
TeamJLBL thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for my enjoyment.

Undertaking a whirlwind visit to Maryborough. While here I was able to pick up a couple of caches I need for this month. And started home via Tin Can Bay/Rainbow Beach.
Thanks Bug for the placement.

Time for one more cache as we head back to our Tin Can Bay campsite and this was a beauty, a lovely tree at GZ.
PDG was the monkey on this one.

Walked from our accomodation to this one Mrs. K Spied the Cache and said I don’t think you’ll get up there . I was confident that i could but 1/3 the way up I chickened out So back down I came with plenty of spikey bark stabbing needle picks to extract from my skin and cloths. Bug it,s my fault for attempting your cache but I still cursed BUG out aloud many times. Thanks for the hunt anyway !
Today we are driving from Brissy to Tin Can Bay then on to Maryborough picking up some carefully selected caches! Todays adventures are with Ardom and Snoop the geopup ️ A beautiful day to be out and about. Thanks for the cache and adding to our adventure.
Corporal Nobbs - the only human I’ve ever met who carries a chit to confirm being a human - and not a dwarf crossed with a gnoll like many believe.
Out caching with CaptainVimes. We brought a ladder but it didn't seem much use so we put it aside and I monkeyed up. Thanks for the fun dahumbug
I had planned an Easter road trip caching around Maryborough and surrounds and before heading west to climb Mt Walsh. At the last minute, Seffnjarah joined me.
After lunch today, we wasted 20 minutes chasing down the Houdini retriever that escaped the yard whilst we were loading. We finally managed to get away, only to sit in the traffic heading north with the rest of Brisbane.
Parking up here in the late afternoon, we headed in. Discussing the best retrieval option, we decided that whilst free climbing was certainly possible, a suitable TOTT that had been packed for just this occasion. Nothing worse than packing a tool that you don't end up using.
Signed with the Bromance team stamp in the first available location. Many thanks Bug

I was lucky to score a ride with Crookedpete for an Easter weekend road trip around Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Mt Walsh and surrounding areas.
No road trip with Crookedpete is complete without the usual cry of "Where's my...[insert wallet, phone, pen or other assorted item as appropriate]", but this time the call came before we had even started, with one of the Crookedpete family dogs doing a runner out of the open gate while we were packing the car. A foot search for said dog ensued to no avail and so Crookedpete and I jumped in our cars for a few laps of the neighbourhood. With the wayward pooch eventually located we hit the road just after 1pm, hoping to avoid the worst of the holiday traffic. Obviously everyone else thought the same and we were soon crawling our way north up the Highway. After a brief stop in Gympie we headed out towards Tin Can Bay to collect a few caches on our to-do list, including this one.
We were initially planning for me to make a free climb up to GZ but then remembered we were packing a suitable TOTT in the myriad of gear we were transporting with us. With the TOTT deployed it was a short shimmy to be able to reach the cache container where the logbook was stamped with The Bromance team stamp (a slight liberty, with only 2 of the usual 4 members present on this trip, but we are hoping to avoid RSI with the number of caches planned on our itinerary ). What a funky and challenging tree! We contemplated a ladder, but we had a chamad instead. With only a bit of claret lost here whilst clamouring up our names were entered in the log book.
A long time ago I heard that there was going to be an Australia Day event in Maryborough. It is a long way from home, especially for one day, so I ignored such whisperings. However, earlier in the week Chamad asked if I could make it possible to go up for the weekend. With the little turmoils needing to return to school on Friday, it had to be a whirlwind, very long day trip and I had to work out who was willing to have the turmoils and who could have the geopup. With everything in place, we made it happen from late Wednesday night to late Thursday night.
After the Australia Day event out at the weir, Chamad and I completed a few target caches in Maryborough and then headed to Tin Can Bay to clean out those caches before heading back to Brisbane. A very long, hot day but between these, new ones and ALs, we got around 80 caches in the area.
Found. Thanks to Chamad. Bug, you are crazy.

So with an upcoming event it Maryborough a plan was hatched to go along. After receiving a phone call asking me to come along, I was very happy to put my support behind this event to see its success. With Triple turmoil a plan was made, kids sorted, dog sorted, clothes sorted, fuel food drinks tick tick tick, ok let’s go. It was then a quick meet up and it was not long before we were on the road, Maryborough here we come.
The 4 o’clock deadline had arrived and we were just leaving Maryborough, right to plan. Now it is a drive to Tin Can Bay for some special caches and whatever else is in town.
Saw this one and was like bring it on. Ok this had me at full stretch at one part getting up, then a jump across and another step up. A couple of scratches and some sweat and the girls go crazy lol. Well it is not caching unless you are bleeding. Really enjoyed this climb, thanks.
We signed the log and replaced all as found and then it was to the next one. Thanks for the cache.

Chamad was keen to clamber up the wooden thing. Such an gymnast as he twists, grunts and bleeds all for caching art and the entertainment of the ladies. There were a few expletives about a bloody bug or two but I saw no computer software being used, no insects hovering around nor any food that was off, so really don't know what all the fuss was about. Cheers to the singer of Bittersweet Epiphany.
Just a spoonful of sugar l helps the medicine go down! A Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious day with JACS and ARF to finish off the brolly. Grabbed some challenges and other interesting ones on the way. Caught up with chamad and triple turmoil to join in his 15 loop milestone. The extra long pole belonging to ARF was certainly an asset along with his and JACS super sonic vision. Special day indeed. Friends make the world a better place. Let’s go fly a kite!! I did clean up the blood!!!
Adding some extra distance to my long drive with a side-trip to Tin Can Bay.
Following a geo trail to GZ.
A bit of a stretch for the final bit. And another good DT from the bug!
Find number 28823 for me.
Thank you bug for hiding this geocache.

After our adventures today driving along Teewah Beach to Double Island Point then along Freshwater track back to the bitumen.
2 cars from our convoy continued onto Tin Can Bay to clean up the town of caches.
Was able to park close to this cache and a few of us made our way to GZ where Peppa made an attempt to climb to this cache but was just a bit short in stature as well as fortitude.
Luckily, we have Giraffe18 in our midst who was able to climb up and reach for the cache without any problems. With log signed it was returned back to its hide. Now to worm her way back down. Who needs a ladder when you have a giraffe.

I finally got to climb a tree!!
Luckily I don’t have big boobs and was able to wedge myself in the correct spot and reach up on my tiptoes. Peppa had a really good try firstly but longer levers were required. ??
And removed sooooo much bark from anywhere and everywhere and still even 3hours later!!

The Mega day of Adventure continues with TMZ59, Patrol 14, Peppa and Giraffe18.
After our 4WDing section this morning we are now determined to knock off all the caches in and around Tin Can Bay.
The specialized skills of Giraffe were put to use for this one, while the rest of us height challenged cachers prepared a spot of afternoon tea.
Fantastic day with this bunch. Maybe we'll make it home in time for dinner, maybe not.

After Davinells 4WD adventure broke up, a few of us continued on into Tin Can Bay with a plan to blitz the seven caches available… considering some of the D/T combos it could have been beyond us… but all 7 took less than 90 minutes…
Our final cache of the day… and even though Davinells was no longer with us, this became a must do…
Pulling up as close as possible to GZ we stomped our way to the cache where it was a quick spot, not so quick retrieval…
I went up… I got level with the container… I tried inching towards it, but my internal voices (plural) were screaming at me by now… so I slid back down removing pieces of bark, and up went Giraffe18… there are many benefits to being tall and thin…
Giraffe18 did then spend the next 30 minutes removing bark from places bark should not be…

On our way home from Double Island and a fantastic drive up the beach. We decided to stop into Tin Can Bay to grab some caches before heading home. Out with my favourite Geo friends. What a lot of fun today has been. TFTC
Nice tree Bug. I’m sure the bark will work its way out of my pores sometime this week. A fun climb with an interesting transfer jump up trying not to smash the knee on the dead branch. Awesome DT. Have to go interstate to get one of these otherwise. One short of my trad grid.

My friends and I were all excited about visiting Tin Can Bay and were so pleased to have stored all our targeted caches beforehand. The reception sure was not the best with little to no coverage available at all the caches found.
We hadn't even noticed this cache was unfound as we had two previously solved puzzles that were our main target, the remaining trads were extra smiles on the map for us so it was a lovely surprise to find this one with a blank log.
Scrambling our way through to GZ, the container was spotted quickly, then how to get hold of it was the next problem for three short legged gals. Being safety conscious, a decision was made to return to our vehicle to pick up a trusty ToT that just did the trick and I didn't have to worry about getting my light coloured clothes dirty by climbing the tree.

Hello Reviewer My Old Friend,
Ive come to submit once again...
Because of a vision slowly creeping...
Left a container while some were sleeping.
And the cache that was tethered to the tree...
Still Remains.
With the stealth and silence.
