I deliberately left the first cache on the trail as I'd miscounted the number I did on my way through Hokitika, knowing I'm approaching a milestone and had a specific one in mind for that. My plan was to get number 1 on the way back from the milestone later today however later in the day I broke my bike chain so ran out of time to go back for number 1. Distance long to make this find. Thanks Bitsprayer#16988
Rode a small portion of the wilderness trail this afternoon and picked up 16 caches there and back. A reasonably quick find but the logsheet is getting rather dilapidated! Very pleasant outing! #7184. TFTC.
Parked out on the road, walked in, turned north and snagging this string of caches. A pretty flat walk and so many on bicycles !
Loved the theme that was developing as we went along this trail and how they were hidden. Tftc
Another cycleway, another Bitsprayer cache trail. This was an odd one, as the caches were really hard to find heading north with several DNFs, but a lot simpler heading back. TFTC.
Finally, found a weather window to ride and enjoy the beauty of the Wilderness Trail with a couple of friends. We already had an amazing day cycling from Kumara to Hokitika, but also this leg from Hokitika to Ross was an awesome experience. TFTC
#4,028: Fun Smiley!Out for a nice ride along the WCWT. Only two of us are cachers, so only signed for us. Cracker of a weather day, with only light winds, and no sign of any precip. Since we were more on a biking mission than a caching one, we only found a couple. We stopped at Hokitika after the first day, and did this section on the next day.Nice to find another one by this CO!!!SL/TFTC!!
Saw these newer caches so off for a walk. Found them all. Odds on the way and evens back. Phone gave out so sorry for generic log. Luckily GPS batteries lasted. Was an 8.16km walk from the kiosk to number 12 and back in 1 hour 59 mins precisely. Includes times scrambling off the track to evade manic cyclists. Thanks for the series.
Mr Curzzz wandered on picking up the odd rock by trees. Id read the hint properly & soon spied the nifty hide.
My GPSr led me to overshoot this cache's hiding place. When I realised this had happened, I backtracked and spotted something suspicious. My thoughts were confirmed and I was soon adding some ink to the logsheet.
Having spent the day collecting caches around town, on the way back to our lodging, we saw this linear route, so decided that Tim could drop Viv off and she could do it whilst he drove back to the Airbnb which is where this trail ends. From this point, all the caches were easy finds, with surprisingly good coords despite being under trees.TFTCTim and Viv -ddm
Found on a five day geocaching road trip to the Nelson, Buller, and West Coast regions. We travelled many kms, by car bike and by foot and found many great caches and explored many areas. Thanks to the various CO's for the caches sites we visited that made our trip so great. Thank for the caches.
Found at dusk at the end of our first day on the trail. The birdsong was amazing at this time of day. It didn't take too long to spot the item that looked out of place. TFTC.
Nana and Aunty Grace took me (Allysa) on a walk today so we could find some caches.TFTC
We took note of the side of the track just encase you wished to amend your hints. This was on the LHS if starting @ #1Find #12 of 12. After the lengthy find at #3 I thought we had finished but thankfully I did a count and realized before we passed GZ. My coords were about 10m out. My hint would be [hip height tree shelf]. Thanks for laying the trail and adding to this lovely section of the track.
Stukje van de West Coast Wilderness trail gefietst. Was erg leuk om te doen. Een paar caches gelogd. TFTC, greetings from the Netherlands.
A nice quick find. # 2 on the trail. Thanks for placing your cache. It has been a while since we got back from Europe, and it is time for us to see more of Home. Ms_KR and I are off to the West Coast for a wee break, and some caching. Today was lovely for Walking and biking, the views of the Alps were stunning.Occaisionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.
Great day out on the introducing Linneamagnusssson to the world of geocaching.TFTGC
Working near greymouth for the week doing some night work so have the days to fill in....road trip to hoki and a few caches quick find tftc
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are currently parked up at the DoC Lake Mahinapua Campsite … we had been to Woodstock-Rimu to check out the mining history & decided to check out a few more local caches … we had previously walked some of this tramline from the ‘treetops road’ & some more from the ‘foot-bridge carpark’, but this time we decided to stop in here & go for a walk & work back towards the middle … overcast & raining … this cache was easily found, log completed & replaced … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #3,924 for us.
Found while cycling from Hokitika a section of the West Coast Wilderness Trail. A very pleasurable scenic ride. TFTC
This morning I transferred my bike from the back of the snail shell and onto the back of the cachemobile in readines for the signing off of the new caches along the WCWT cycle/walkway.
That's the 2nd one knocked off.
Cheers for the cache, Bitsprayer.

Walking a section of the Mahinapua Walkway collecting caches along the way and avoiding cyclists; TFTC
The weather looked a bit more settled south of Greymouth so we set off to tackle this trail of caches.
We parked at the southern end of the walk and high tailed it to no 1 (furthest away) and cached our way back as we tend to do.
All caches found and logs signed, some with HZ + HM and some with full names.
A lovely walk on a great track.
Thank you Bitsprayer.

This series was our aim today with just a few extras thrown in. As has happened before we're delighted to be walkers taking our time as the return trip allowed us to enjoy all facets of what mother nature can throw at you around Mahinapua. From all the cyclists we passed there was just one entitled lycra wearing inconsiderate on a road race bike who passed us dangerously without warning. It didn't dampen our enjoyment though. A great walk added to our favs . Thank you Bitsprayer
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches.
