Logs
Have replaced the old log with a bright shinny new log roll ready for the next cacher.
Nice fast find on a sunny, busy, blowsy day. Log full, as I found out when I fully unwound it - doh!Signed in a random space and then spent a minute or 3 rolling it up tightly again.TFTC lance_bu ,';*={thanks}-*;', ,;:*(thanks}:*;*:{thanks}*:;, ,;{thanks}:;:*{thanks}:;:{thanks);, `;:{thanks};:{thanks}:;{thanks}:;' `*&;:{thanks}:;:{thanks},:;&*' `-+;:*{thanks}*:;+-` `-\\\||///-' __ \\||// __ / `------' \ | }-(______)-{ | \___/ |||| \___/ /_, |||| ,_\
(10119) There was a need to do a little bit of caching today to keep my numbers up. A quick find. Pleased to get this one today as it is my 100th find for the month. Thanks lance_bu for taking the time to place the cache and for bringing me here.
I was out and about caching in Ngaio this evening, just trying to get a few more caches towards my attempt to complete the 100, 10, 7 Challenge, which gave me a chance to look for some caches I may have only ever driven near to before, including this one. There are many parts of Wellington that I've never explored, and being encouraged to be here today is just one of the great aspects of Geocaching. Plus the fact that it was a Sunday evening meant that there were few people around to disturb my searching.Having said that, I did feel a little exposed looking for this cache but luckily it was a very quick find at GZ. Everything here is just fine, and was replaced as found once I'd added my name to the log. Thanks for setting it up.
I made this one really hard for myself... Convinced I was looking for a bison, and forgot what galvanised meant. Once found I dropped the lid in the grass! However, I overcame my own nonsense to find and log this one. Thanks for the cache
**19,904**We are always up for a quick park and grab. Mr Geckoh made sort work of it and we were off again! TFTC
A quick, easy find.To fill this log in a bit more, I did think to check to see if anyone were looking at me from their houses, but none that I could see.Cheers.Sleepy was here!
Needed a micro for today and this definitely fitted the bill Cheers lance_bu!
Had a nice walk around Satara Cres trying to find some Wai Mt Kaukau caches. This one was much easier, a quick reach under and grab secured the payload. Tftc!
After attending the nearby CITO, TrinityNZ, Matagouri and I headed out to snaffle a few more caches before heading home.
This one was a nice straight forward find.
Thanks for putting this here

Out with matagouri and rattll this afternoon after the CITO event in Brooklyn. We decided to visit three of these Wai Mt Kaukau caches, as I didn't have any of them.
Rattll located this one pretty quickly, thanks to the good hint, while I was still approaching GZ.
Thanks lance_bu for the cache.

Found out with rattll and TrinityNZ. A nice quick find as per the hint. All good, tftc!
Parked up right outside as there was space. I even spotted the cache on approach so it was a quick easy find. No room for trackables (as expected). All good here, and TFTC.
This cache obviously didn't grab my attention when it was published and I was surprised to see it on my map when I was planning today's caching activities. When I saw the name, I thought I was going to be in for an energetic walk but the cache location didn't seem to suggest that. A quick read of the cache description quickly revealed what the story was.
I managed to get a safe park close by and was able to quickly locate the wee treasure. I am not keen on lingering in locations such as this so I was grateful for the helpful information about where the cache was hidden.

Found this over Easter but forgot to log it. Nice to see a new cache pop up. Tftc
A quick find, all quiet at GZ apart from a few passing cars.
In case any one was watching I tried to make it as natural as possible by looking like an older guy just having a rest which wasn't hard as I was one, having just walked the not so "gentle slope" from Simla Crescent on a warm afternoon.
About two minutes to find the cache and a lot longer to get the log rolled up tidily.
TFTC.

A perfect park and grab for me - had run out of time today to find a cache for my mini streak. So after dinner at my sisters popped down the road to snag it, it was less than 200m away - yhey! The hint made for a quick find. TFTC lance_bu
#12,663. I have seen this one in my suburb for some time and kept it for a day when I needed a few extra numbers of caches. Today was one of those days with just 13 finds on the grid. I parked down the street and wandered up. Had checked the place on streetview so knew the best spot to search. But as so often happens I simply failed to feel it there so had to widen the search. Decided it was still the best spot so came back and this time felt it immediately. Grrr. Signed the logbook then spent a minute or two winding it back up again. Thanks lance_bu for the cache. Nice to have another of yours hidden in the suburb.
When I saw this cache published my first thought was "ooh Mt Kaukau, I haven't been up there in a while". So I was slightly deflated to see it was on the side of the road in full view of houses. I came here today, parked a discreet distance away, took a short walk to ground zero, had a look around to see if any windows had people peering out of them, then dived in for a look. I totally appreciate the explicit instructions to find this and even so I did not put my hand on it as quickly as I expected instead having to do some peering to spot it visually first. Okay, now what. Stand here and sign it? Didn't seem like a great idea and now my decision to park some distance away didn't seem like a great idea either! So I went down to the nearby comms cabinet and used it for a table. I was holding the two parts of the container in my hand and dropped one of them in moment of carelessness. Luckily it was right at my feet and didn't do some weird bounce and ping off into the bushes. Then the usual pain of restoring the log in the container before replacing the cache and heading off. Not entirely sure why this needed to be a nano when a micro would have worked here too but TFTC.
Well, I was certainly pumped when I checked my e-mail this afternoon and spotted a brand new, bright and shiny cache listing! Where???? That close? ????? Nothing for it but I had to sling on some shoes, saving the cache to my phone as I dashed out the door, and trusting that the Sat nav for once wasn't going to attempt to send me down a flight of stairs, or along the railway line (it's tried similar tricks before) as I weaved my way through the twisty streets of Ngaio towards GZ.As I suspected, I wasn't the first to arrive.... the usual squad had beaten me to it. Fair enough! I did however, manage to add my name to the log before the cache was replaced, and after a brief chat (trying to work out which of the Ngaio cachers lived closest), we went on our respective ways.TFTC for a very enjoyable treat on a Sunday afternoon! Cache 12,394 for me.
#13,393. Joint {FTF} at 17:20 with YetiNZ and Infoferret, and first day find. Park and grab on Satara Crescent in Khandallah, Wellington. YetiNZ arrived just about the same time as we did. Fortunately, GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Quick find made by YetiNZ. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.Just when we were about to replace the cache, Infoferret arrived on the scene as well. Great for a brief catchup. Thanks for the placement, and for bringing us to this site, and .T h a n k s. .f o r. .t h e. .c a c h e..M a u r u u r u. .k o e. .n u i. .a t u. .h o k i. .t e. .k e t e r o k i.

There I was, just sitting at home minding my own business on a Sunday afternoon vaguely contemplating what I might do for dinner in an hour or so, when my phone went bing-bing. It's a pattern I recognise, and I knew exactly what it means. I grabbed my phone and was heading out the door as I looked at my phone to see where I was going. It was close, which is both good and bad. I had no time to lose, and fortunatly I didn't.
I arrived at the location at the exact same time as Huhugrub, and parking was a little tricky but we got it done. The cache was quickly found in a nice discreet spot, which was good as there was plenty of comings and goings at the neighbouring places in the few minutes that we were there, including the arrival of Infoferret just as we were finishing signing the log paper. Another name added and the cache was returned to where I had found it.
Thanks to lance_bu for placing and maintaining this cache.
I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.

This cache was published while I was up the Kapiti Coast this afternoon, and it was only a short diversion to it on the way home. No problems with the find, quick and easy. Signed log, TFTC!
