How good was that! Very pleased that the camo wasnt in its complete form, because if it wasnt, I dont think we would have found it. TFTC.
Gappy Halloween. Good day to park the car and go for a walk to grab a few caches and get the blood flowing. Nice little trail walk here. The spiders and webs were out today so they must have been in the Halloween spirit too. TFTC veevers
Found with BlackOpal2005 after the wonderful SideTracked event at the miniature railway in Eltham. This one took us a little while of walking around before the cleverly crafted cache was found. I'm giving this a favourite. My thanks to veevers12 for the cache.
This series was found as Muzza and I slowly made our way closer to the city (with many detours for caches).
Headed out here this morning to have a leisurely walk and grab a few in the Ruffey Creek Trail series. I followed the geo trail and soon spotted the nicely camoed cache. A few pats of a friendly dog and I was on my way again.
Out and about today with TanSaf for the first day of Cosmic Quest with the intention of completing The Ruffey Creek Trail. It was a beautiful day and on reaching GZ we noticed the lawnmower man was doing his thing. This was great as it kept the muggles away. The carefully crafted cache was soon in hand. Thanks veevers12 for the cache.
A gorgeous sunny winter day after many cold rainy days - perfect for some geocaching. Skylizard and I set off to this area to locate some caches and start earning points for the Cosmic Quest. Enjoying the Ruffy Creek trail series, a very pleasant trail to stroll down. A quick find. TFTC veevers12.
A morning adventure. I had failed miserably on my last attempt, expecting I had been thorough enough to find the cache but a DNF ensued. After seeing another cacher make the find since I was determined to have another go.This time was a much shorter search and after changing my search location slightly I spotted the cache straight away. A great way to end the series. Well done on the Victorian Cache of the Year award nominations and this earns a favourite point for the hide.A big thanks goes to veevers12 for taking the time to add Ruffey Creek Trail #3 - A Home Among The Gumtrees to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Are you ready for Victorias next big event?Join us for Victorias first ever *Block Party* to celebrate 25 years of geocaching.**When:** March 22 - 23, 2025**Where:** Hume Global Learning Centre, SunburyLog your will attend at [**GCAP417: The Sunbury Event** ](https://coord.info/GCAP417) Visit our [**Block Party website** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/the-sunbury-event) for more details on the exciting lineup of events and activities as they are released!
Li visited today in an attempt to complete this COTY nominated series but this one proved too good. I had my suspicions about the cache hide confirmed with a previous finder, but despite the nudge the cache did not reveal itself. There is every possibility it is still here but despite my lengthy search it did not reveal itself to me today. Thanks for the hide!
Find number 13404 at 10:01:18AM on Monday the 27 May 2024What a beautiful day to go out and enjoy so here I am out geocaching, how good does it get. Set a plan and created a list of 2023 Vic Awards nominee caches and a few TDOC23 caches that I still haven't found. Found all on the list which included some bush, some park and some beach walking and way too much driving but there you go!First for the day, second trip here, no go lst time but an easy find today.**Thanks for placing this cache veevers12**---The nominees for the [**2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards**](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/2023-victorian-cache-of-the-year-awards) have now been announced.Find as many of these amazing caches as you can before voting opens later in the year. The full list of nominations is available on the [Geocaching Victoria website](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/2023-victorian-cache-of-the-year-awards)
It was too nice an afternoon to be stuck inside and the caches were calling! Actually, they were singing and I was really looking forward to joining the chorus of this acclaimed series. This was the third song, and I sang it many times as I circled through the undergrowth! I made things more difficult than they needed to be, and when I finally spotted the well-cammoed blighter, it was a doh moment Added a new waterproof songsheet, and had to move on as I know this particular earworm is a hard one to shift!TFTC veevers12----------------------------------------------------------Are you ready for Victorias next big event?Join us for Victorias first ever *Block Party* to celebrate 25 years of geocaching.**When:** March 22 - 23, 2025**Where:** Hume Global Learning Centre, SunburyLog your will attend at [**GCAP417: The Sunbury Event** ](https://coord.info/GCAP417) Visit our [**Block Party website** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/the-sunbury-event) for more details on the exciting lineup of events and activities as they are released!
Great cache, but the log paper is a bit wet and nearly full. Might need changing. Tftc
First one today - very close to the car! Took a while, but I was ignored by the few muggles around. Very nice camo.
Wow a very clever hide! It almost got the better of me till I had one final look. Tftc
Second attempt to find, both have had to be cancelled due to muggles nearby...hopefully one day my luck'll improve.
Currently trying to finish the year with a streak and so heading out daily, for a cache. Plus their are a few other caches I need for challenges. Trusted my GPS here and made for a quick find. Glad for that as on arrival and reading description thought a longer search may be required. Thanks to veevers12 for the fun and the adventure.
I found this one a second visit about a month ago but obviously didn't log it. Excellent camouflage makes this a real joy once you find it. Trust your GPS and use your geosenses: David
Lost my pen and couldn’t leave a note, but was quite a mission to find this genius little hide.
Tftf!

Out and about on the glorious morning for a short run. Never been to this park before. Enjoyed the walk along with a lot of dog lovers. Veered of to check with one out and found it hard to get settled co ords. Battled many a blackberry run before finally widening my search and made to find. Excellent camo. Thanks for the cache veevers12
Okay that was COOL!!! Spent most of my time turning over rocks but as everyone else has said, once you see it, it requires further inspection and BOOM there it was! TFTC!
Nice camo, once I spotted what could b I know for sure it had to be. Took a little to seek but we got there.

A detour after an epic search for another cache after this morning's excellent Maker Magic event.
A well crafted hide.
Nice one, veevers12.

I was in the area once again and had my bike with me, so I decided to ride around this loop, finding the cache in this series.
I circled around GZ, before heading in and spotting something that needed a closer look and sure enough, it was the cache.
**Thanks to veevers12 for placing this cache.**

Back again for the third day in a row - aiming for this month’s souvenir, it feels like I’m streaking again.
Took a little bit to find at first, but then spotted something needing a closer look. Bingo!
Will be back sometime next week for the rest of them.
Thanks for bringing me here by placing this cache, veevers12

With the weather being a bit better than expected... and a bit of time to spare... I decided to test the traffic on Fitzsimons Lane and come over on finish off this short series of caches.
Thanks **veevers12** for a well placed... and cleverly hidden... cache.

TwoEms spied the home amongst the gumtrees and the locals on their porch watching us possums play. We did not know that they knew what we were up to, so we borrowed a little magic and ate some vegemite on toast to make ourselves invisible. It didn’t work, and the kookaburras called—us stupid.
After the time it takes to eat a bag of minties, a whole pavlova, pumpkin scones and a lamington, we were rewarded for searching in the realm of reality rather than looking for the one filled with plum trees—Thank you for the invisible visible cache.

It took us a few moments to find this one as we are in the semi dark.
Nice camo.

Visiting the fabulous Wombat Bend playground and we were very happy to sneak this cache in. Very clever, thank you!! Geokids we're extra excited to have found it so lucky there were no muggles near by!
Nice cache! Is it homemade? Glad we stumbled onto it in the wet undergrowth. TFTC!
This is a very clever cache, and was the trickiest of the series to find. I walked around and around, with the GPS not being overly helpful. Then I spotted something that looked a tiny bit different. Great camo here.
Second find of the series on a drizzly afternoon public holiday. Easy find as coords are spot on. Cut myself on the spiky plants though.
Started this series as advised at the beginning. Found them all, in sequence. The third took a little longer. Thanks for taking me to the heritage cypress tree. Thanks veevers12. My phone was a bit loose for this one !.
Found with icw. It was a case of something that looked a little out of place. As we were leaving a two friendly ladies came to their gate and asked if we had found it. They often see puzzled people searching in the undergrowth. We explained the many facets of geocaching and urged them to join in the fun. Tftc.
It seems that this year is whizzing by with finding time for caching opportunities at an all time low. Today I managed to drag out Mrs frilk and the geo-pooch to hunt down this mini trail. The breeze kept the temperature cooler than expected however it seemed that with each step the temperature was climbing.
With the GPS signal bouncing around we had to resort to geo-senses. Mrs frilk managed to get a few scratches from the blackberries before I made the find. A great hide. TFTC.

Actually picked up the cache and put it down again and then took another look! Very clever. TFTC!
This one definitely deserves a fav point.
Very well done.

I enjoyed the walk to this location and the search but after finding the well hidden cache my pen dropped out of my pocket. A few hundred metres along the path I realised my pen was missing so I had to backtrack and search for my camouflage-coloured pen. It took a few minutes but I eventually found it lying beside the path and I was able to continue on my planned morning of geocaching.
Thank you veevers12 for this cache.

The area was deserted this afternoon which made finding this cache much simpler. Something caught my eye and it turned out to be the cache. Sneaky! A favourite point has been awarded for your efforts. Thank you veevers12 for placing and maintaining Ruffey Creek Trail #3 - A Home Among The Gumtrees for us to find today.

Very nicely hidden. I am enjoying the songs that go with the caches in this series. Shows my age that I can remember them all and I find myself humming along as I sign the logs. Aah the good old days.
With echidna44. This was such a well constructed cache and blends in so well! Definitely a fav point from us, we loved it. Thanks veevers12
Out for the day with two of pinnacle333, we were doing multis for a challenge.
We saw this trail and decided we had time to do it. A very well constructed hide. Thanks veevers12.

Mum once wanted a John Williams CD for Christmas and I got her John Williamson. It featured a duet with Tugga Waugh singing ‘The Baggy Green.’ To the tune of Click Go The Shears. It was the best present ever.
Thanks Veevers for this very nice hide.

It was a rather unsettling day today.
Most of it was spent at various hospitals.
A visit to the Box Hill RSL for a snack and a coffee followed by a lovely relaxing wander along Ruffey Creek to the confluence with the Yarra River.
As I arrived, some muggles with a dog also stopped and took a seat.
I picked up a stick to throw for the dog but then thought better of it.
Thanks for the cache, the series, and the interesting walk.
Adding a Favorite Point here.
It was the perfect way to wind down and reset.

Out this afternoon to grab the next section of the series that annoyingly were published while I was at work. I parked near #1 again to add a few more steps and spotted spiffy- in the process of signing that one. A nice walk around the loop.
Thanks veevers12 for the cache. nice camo.

I was out today gathering a multi for my calendar today but thought I may as well get a few trads on the way home and this was one of them.
I decided to start on this series and leave the multi for later and randomly met geo_jas on the way around the loop who muggled me out from afar.
Found this one surprisingly quickly. Nicely done, a favourite from me.

After seeing hand surgeon went to catch up with my with my lifelong best friend. Stayed the night and while they slept in on a public Holiday I went and enjoyed the early morning to explore the many geocaching opportunities in Melbourne.
I was starting to look and then a lady came out from the house opposite. She said I just have to ask, what are all these people coming here to look for? So I had no other option but to say I was geocaching. And she knew about it as she used to geocache with her daughter. She said the last bloke ran off after saying he was looking for a rare plant. So together we searched and Sharon actually found the geocache although she didn't know it! I recognised it the moment she had it in her hand.

sorry veevers but I am out of favourites or I would have given this one. Love the effort.

After work today I went home and picked Bunadoorian up and we headed here. We knew #4 had been found so we weren't surprised when we approached GZ saw a lovely lady wrtting on something! Well as is our tale- today we were second to find again. We turned our back while the logbook was stashed away by ladioactive. Bunadoorian went and found the well hidden cache while I continued chatting with ladioactive. What a great designed cache. Thank you for placing this cache for others to enjoy finding - veevers12. A favourite point from me for the well constructed cache.
Grub62 and I were on our way to GZ as this cache had no logs about 4 hours after publication. As we were approaching GZ we saw ladioactive finishing up logging her find. She did offer us equal 1st but seeing as we played no part in her find we thought that would not be right. We turned our backs so she could rehide the cache. Up to that point we had not seen the cache. It did help that we knew the area which made for a quick find. A well constructed and concealed cache and deserving of a favourite point. TFTC.
