Out and about on the unofficial public holiday before Melbourne cup with my son to find some caches. We start at Point Henry and headed towards Clifton Springs finding all the traditional caches North of Portarlington Rd, we managed to find 13 caches for the day and 1 DNF. This was the DNF for the day, found the hiding spot but not the cache. CO has been contacted about the missing cache. I will be back another day to sign the log as there are heaps of caches still in Clifton Springs to find.

16:20Christmas Eve 2023, so different to our covid enriched 2022 Christmas. We spent the afternoon in the area of the Bellarine Country Towns 2 Adventure Lab. We found a number of caches in the strong wind, with most unusual cloud features hovering above. The boat harbour certainly seems to have had a facelift. Thanks to Moonb1 for hiding caches in interesting locations. 36242

Great spot for a cache - but oh so many possible hiding places. Bridges are always a bit daunting, let alone the shrubbery abounding around it. Must admit we had to resort to a paf, the previous finder, our son-in-law. He came to help but his hints allowed us to find it before he could make it from Point Henry. Thanks for setting up this one, and all the maintenance that cache owners do.

*Eleventh Day Of Cachemas 2023 Adventure #2*
The sun is shining, the birds are singing.
I was a little concerned about the flock of cache guardians in the area (one photoed). However, apparently we passed muster, and were permitted to approach the cache.
Thanks heaps, Moonb1!

We needed more food for the geodogs, Gypsy Girl, Teeny Treek and Mini Michi, so we headed to Ocean Grove to grab some of their favourite noms. On the way back, we headed through Drysdale hoping to find a tree fishing cache, but there was a Home game on, so it was muggle central.

So we detoured and drove down to find this cache. The home game had almost deserted this area, so we had a short walk from the car park and arrived at GZ.

Once there, we looked around for possible hiding spots and noticed something a little out of place.

Sure enough, it was the cache. The cache is in excellent condition.

Thank you, Moonb1, for this Traditional cache.

Down in the area with my very good friends the suscoe’s to add a few more smiles to my list.
The weather was kind and this cache was first on the short list for today. Having lived in the area well Geelong for the last 60 years plus I have been past most of the areas on previous visits to this area which like everywhere else has grown in size.
While nearby we grabbed this Traditional, thanks Moonb1 for placing.

Suscoe was in Drysdale / Clifton Springs this morning with our good mate Bushfire.
We were working our way through the Bellarine Towns Ad Lab and stopped by here
Eliza Doolittle's song lyrics were bouncing around in our ears,
"Ow woodn't it be loverly!"
It was sunny with a decent Northerly blowing but it was protected at GZ..
A quick find
Thanks to Moonb1 for this hide.

I had to bring my son to a Youth Night playing mini golf at the Range and had an hour or so to kill before picking him up again. What to do with the time was obvious so I had given Neville_devil a call and he met me to grab a few caches.
A quick enough find after a short walk in a nice area.

Thank you Moonb1 for the hide

A plan had been hatched to join The_Tritonz on a trip out to Duck Island. I had borrowed a kayak, installed the roof racks and was all set to go. We were down at Swan Bay early in order to take advantage of the tides, and had just unpacked everything from the cars. That’s when the plan came unstuck. The two paddle components wouldn’t join. I had two “left” paddles so to speak and neither of their interconnecting right halves. We were not going to make it to Duck Island in this state. (Perhaps a blessing in disguise as the winds had picked up).

So an alternative plan was hatched and I spent the day venturing around town with The_Tritonz.

We managed to get close enough and set off to grab this find.

Thanks Moonb1 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

We parked illegally in a trailer park (not busy) to make the wooden find.
Thanks Moonb1 for the placement.

I was thinking about going for a walk and trying to decide where to go when the early heads up alarm went off.
Well the walk was decided and made my way to a picturesque Clifton springs beach.
I could hear voices in the area, so I had a quick search and discovered the well hidden hide with a blank log for a [FTF]
Log signed and replaced as found.

Thanks for the Traditional cache Moonb1
