Logs
A lovely morning for caching with Kolour, we had planned to tackle Mt Petrie for quite a while, it was great we were finally able to make it happen.A quick find at gz, log signed, all replaced as found. Love the camo, a fp for the great effort. Thanks chessarees for the cache.
Spent the morning walking about 9km in the Mt Petrie bushland with Willis007 finding caches including many challenges. It took a few minutes of scouting around before the very clever cache was found. Great recycling so a fp. Logbook signed and replaced as found. But no kangaroos were seen today. Tftc
Keeping up my streak is a bit of fun now and I look forward to finding that one cache for the day. I make it a point of going somewhere where I need a task done and where there is a cache to find as well. Today i was over at capalaba way and I saw this one was good for a walk and to keep my walks going along.I was surprised by a couple of very large kangaroos in the area. Walking to the cache and I made the find very easily. I signed the log and returned the cache as found, all good here.
Why not head out this afternoon for a couple of cheeky geocache finds? I had seen these on the map and I'm a bit curious about all the little corners of bushland in this part of the world. I can only assume bushland buybacks happened for this block too - but haven't yet looked it up.Still, with daylight left, I parked up where the map said there'd be an entrance. However, you've gotta be looking for it to see the recessed gate against the neighbours driveway. Pen in hand, I wandered in with nobody much around. After finding the other geocache en route I continued my walk. This was most pleasant in the rapidly dimming afternoon. Along the creek it seems there's a significant gully down there. And at the crossing, it sure seems that way too. Thankfully little water, so across I go and up towards GZ.Like others, my app was pointing well into the bush, but not wanting to add to the damage done in there, I poked around carefully and without leaving the track at all, I spotted and retrieved the geocache. Sneaky bit of camouflage there!Inside is slightly damp, but I signed my name at 17:10, replaced as found and headed off to explore a bit more until it got too dark. A nice smiley and chessarees
So after finding some Koalas, i thought i would go hunting, er um searching for some Kanagroos. A pleasant walk between the two cache areas. At gz i was looking for quite a few minutes. With no luck, i resorted to the usual. - Check the listing to confirm cache size, any hints and previous logs. One of those pushed me in a different direction. The cache was spied, quite quickly after that pause. The log sheet was signed and everything is good with this tricky cache. Thanks very much for placing this cache chessarees. Super tricky. Cheers
chessarees I found your cache Look out for kangaroos! on 22/3/2024, 3:30pm. This is my find 6478 and find # 13 today. Took a bit of time to locate. After reading some previous logs I narrowed my search area and soon had CIH. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
I wanted to get this cache after finding the koalas, but the water course between the cache and Mt Gravatt Capalaba Rd was flowing freely, decided not to ruin a third pair of shoes this week. I'll be back, I love the bush in this area, sandy, flat, open and serene, there's lots to love.
Bit tricky nice hide. This took a little more time than koalas and quite satisfying. Thanks for the cache
After finding the other nearby cache I headed towards this one and I was surprised by the route that I had to take to get there.
I searched around GZ for a while but then read back the previous logs and a comment about Peppa's log and widened my search to a different area and as I picked up an object I dislocated the cache and it fell near my foot.

Trying to get caches to keep my streak going for the current souvenir. This cache took longer to find than it should have then i worked out what the hint meant and it was an easy find. Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC
My GPS took me off the path. I should have listened to what Peppa said in his log. Thanks for the fun chessarees
Wanted a find for the day, this is close to home and would give the dog a short outing.
Walked in and didn't look at the phone before we had past the cache.
Made an easy find and then back to the cold aircon
Thank you for this cache

FTF!
The Geokids were almost ready to give up. I offered some advice; “it might be something that looks out of place, take this thing for example, oh, it’s the cache!”
That’s how we ended up finding it after ten minutes of looking around, making it much harder than it could have been!
Thanks For The Cache!

Live close to this cache so when I saw it hadn’t been found after our morning walk decided to try for it. When we got to the gate and saw another car there we were fairly sure we wouldn’t get the FTF. Next minute a found log appeared and we were happy to know some geo kids had beaten us to it.
Despite talking to them and getting a hint we failed to find it!!!
It was getting very hot and I needed to head home and do the housework .
Thanks chessarees for the cache.
