One last cache while out for a bike ride, before heading back to the NZMCA park, TFTC
This is a very well constructed cache. While we found it fairly quickly it could be easily overlooked. Gets a favorite point from us. TFTC
I needed a cache today as we were in Motueka we popped around and got this cache nice easy find .Thanks Sidewaze
Summer Holiday 2024Day #5Spending a couple of days in Stephens Bay and today AlpiSteve and I ventured over to Riuwaka Resurgence and then into Motueka for groceries so made a quick detour here for this favourited cache. Quick find by AlpiSteve who I've shown numerous "different" containers so he was on to it before I even got right to GZ! Yup very very cool TFTCMake your way to Dunedin for New Zealands next large multi-day event. GCA7ZHD Geo Toroa will be held on NZs Labour Day long weekend 26-27th October 2024
We had to pop over to Motueka this afternoon to pick up some whiteware I had bought for kindy. I suggested to gk that we find a cache while we are in the area. This was the closest traditional for us to find so here we went to see if we could find it.We always wonder why this park does not have a picnic table, maybe it is a sit on the ground picnic park. The cache was quickly spotted, there was no activity at the house nearby, so that was a bonus.A well constructed cache which is in great condition. Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley. A favourite point from us for the design of the cache.
Very clever cache hide so gets a fav from us. We are smiling at your interesting caches. Thanks for the cache Sidewaze.
Clever!! We smiled at this one. Found with coconuts3. TFTC and your time to make up great hides.
A great specimen of the mighty totara. I hope the younger totara are allowed to grow and return this area to the prehuman landscape well as close as possible.Day 2 of The Wellingtonians are back tour with TwigNZ, YetiNZ, Mr-Mcgoo. After the last trip, with more caches for us to find, we decided we had to return. And, of course, there will be days of laughter, usually at my expense During our time here, all found caches were signed as NMTY (regardless of whether 2, 3 or all 4 of us hadn't found it previously), or with individual names for Challenge Caches according to whomever was claiming the find.Kia ora rawa atu for the cache Sidewaze.
(# 8177) On a caching trip to the Nelson/Golden Bay area for a repeat trip for the four amigos. Day two of this trip took us from Takaka over the hill to Kaiteriteri, through Motueka and back to Nelson. Tripping with NZ_B, TwigNZ and YetiNZ. Another day full of hilarity with nobody being spared being the butt of the jokes. Signed the log with NMTY. Thanks Sidewaze for bringing me here.
Back in June, four Wellingtonians (NZ_B, Mr-Mcgoo, TwigNZ and YetiNZ) came down to visit the Nelson region. We had such a blast that we decided to do it again, and here we are!During our time here, all found caches were signed as NMTY (regardless of whether 2, 3 or all 4 of us hadn't found it previously), or with individual names for Challenge Caches according to whomever was claiming the find, which certainly applied to this cache.Day 2, and having spent 1 night in Takaka we are driving back down to Nelson via Kaiteriteri and Motueka and various stops along the way. By now it was getting on in the afternoon and we were eager to go and grab some dinner in Motueka, but there are always a few caches to grab by the side of the road...Not quite a straightforward park n grab. We had no issues making the find here, although that's simply down to experience with containers. This one was well made, and deserving of recognition, hence another FP.Thank you for setting this one up.
Some time ago a group of us from Wellington decided that what we should do is come down to the Nelson region for a long weekend of Geocaching. So we did. We had such a good time that just a few months later we decided to do it again. The same team to the same location, with the same agenda. The only real goal for this four day break is exploring, having fun, and finding more of the unfound geocaches in the area.
Day two of this trip took us from the labyrinth rocks of Tākaka over the hill to Kaiteriteri, through Motueka and back to Nelson. We stopped at many caches along the way, and this was one of them.
An excellent hide here, found exactly as described.
Most of our finds here we signed the log with the collective name of N.M.T.Y to represent the four of us: NZ_B, Mr-Mcgoo, TwigNZ, and YetiNZ.

Thanks to Sidewaze for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.
[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.

We ended up making two trips here today. The first time we aborted the hunt as one set of neighbours was outside doing something. We headed off for a couple of other things, then came back around lunchtime when we were hoping everybody would be inside for lunch. Luckily they were and Andy soon had cache in hand while I was lookout and photo taker. All good here. tftc

I've been caching too long as I've been to this park and location before. I recall meeting the nearby neighbour back then and they knew about the cache. No one at home today though. Tricky but clever hide. TFTC Sidewaze.
Located with Ricardinho
Quite close to houses this one & RNZ was very nervous about being spotted. I stood guard while he bush dived Located & logged without incident.

RG72 and I were in motueka for the afternoon and got a number of adventure labs on our way there. This was the only geocache for the day though, but it was a goodie. I was a bit afraid of getting spotted by the neighbour but that didn’t happen. Nice hide. TFTC Sidewaze.
Found on this beautiful morning with Ulmuslynx gos led us straight to the cache. Thank you for the cache
Nice wander through the park for a nice quick find of this well camo'ed cache. While I was signing the log someone who I couldn't see asked me if I was looking for mushrooms. No! Oh some other people were here looking for mushrooms - probably cachers I'm thinking as no sign of mushrooms in here. On my way out I got into a long conversation with the neighbour working in her beautiful garden. I have to say this cache was way easier to find than its predecessor. Have a favourite for the hide. TFTC # 19,632
While completing the new AdLab, Agazo and I stopped here for me to grab the smilie.
A good hide.

Very nice hide ,was looking for the obvious but remembered the rating . Worthy of a fav from me . Greetings from Whangarei tftc.
New placements kept on accumulating and against better judgement we decided to finally make a Mot run. Not that we hate going to Mot, to the contrary. However, it being muggle central after hours is the preferred option. Most finds in Mot are "night caches" and helped greatly in achieving our DGSc. We have no complaints
We found a cache in this little park before. It took two visits today as the neighbours were stacking firewood on the other side of the fence. On return there was a garden party but stealth saved the day. Not until I realised I'd lost my car keys and we were noticed looking for them. With plenty of toadies we usually say we're always looking for photo opportunities... Help was offered and accepted to find the keys which I thankfully found again while carefully retracing my steps. A fav for the hide. Thank you Sidewaze

We decided on a day trip to Motueka to find numerous caches which have been published since our last trip over there. After having to abort attempts to find several it reminded us why we usually make a Motueka caching trip in the evenings.
This is our second visit to this small park to find a cache and it was on our second visit today we found this cache, the first one being aborted by the neighbours unloading firewood directly over the fence. A clever hide.
Thank you Sidewaze.

I'm up in Nelson for the weekend. Nice to be able to find a few caches that have popped up since I moved South. I was able to visit and revisit a few cool spots while I was up here. Time for a couple more caches this morning before I had to drive back to Christchurch. This was the first one I came to. Found the clever camo cache after a shortish search. TFTC, Biggles.
The previous cache here was one of my first ever finds, almost 7yrs ago. I searched and searched without luck, then I think it was replaced as it had gone missing. Taught me the value of a dnf if I'd really had a good look.
A great excuse to return to this quiet park and admire the mighty Totara. I felt a bit exposed approaching gz but it seemed clear of nosy neighbors so I was able to get in and have a look. Once squatting and using the hint, I spotted the clever hide. I like the warning for new cachers because that sums up my experience in this park. Caching sense better tuned these years later.
Thanks very much!

We decided to have lunch in Motueka and then spend the afternoon finding the remaining adventure lab locations and caches. By the time we arrived at this park we had just the cache part of the plan to action. Mrs SoBad said the GPS suggests over there and then followed SoBad. He had the log in hand for her to sign when she arrived as he immediately spotted the nicely made cache container, having been warned to look for something special.
Thanks. We also add a favourite point.

Google maps tried to get me to go down a driveway, so I shut it off and looked at the map myself. AT first, I looked in the usual places, but then I spotted something else. TFTC.
A joint FTF with TARV2014 at 2:14 this afternoon. We'd seen the publication notice earlier in the day and had thought that someone else would have grabbed FTF before we headed to the supermarket this afternoon. A very nicely constructed cache - earns an FP. Thanks Sidewaze for the cache.
14.12 FTF for SJT_NZ and I, and a fav from me for cache design. A great day to visit the local Totara's and pleased to see they are all looking healthy. Thanks Sidewaze for a fun cache.
