GPS was right on top of it, had a pretty good look but kept getting interupted by muggles
Unfortunately we didn't find this cache, spent a bit of time looking but rain, wind and so many muggles on a wet day made looking more difficult!
We looked at every spot we could while dodging muggles but couldn't find it unfortunately. So many muggles around even though it was a miserable rainy day. This is the second time I've tried to find this one with no luck
Another cache found, this time after the Af Lab stages completed. All good and replaced as found, think I saw the oil rig in the distance.A slower easier day of caching today after a morning call back to the UK was made and a leisurely start to the day. I was keen for a couple of Multis near Urenui base, some kiwiana caches then a trip into NP to get the virtual caches in the city, plus other random ones here and there. Once again thanks to all the local, and no longer local, COs for their hides and maintenance.
As traveling through New Zealand this month, I'm trying to find a few caches along the way.Walking to the beach with all the fisherman's I was luckily surprised to find a GC is hidden here! Quick find, thanks a lot!
Nice little park and grab. Long time between caches. Hopefully the start of a big summer. TFTC
Drove down from Auckland this morning and had to wait for in laws to finish work. What better way to kill time than do the adventure lab and this cache. No one else was here today as it was pretty blustery and cache was located quickly
I was up in New Plymouth visiting Mum in law and doing odd jobs etc for her and taking her to appointments etc. and i took her out for a drive while the weather was fine and i was able to locate these two newer caches here in Waitara . I remember visiting this camp site a year or two ago for part of the adv lab . it was a straight forward find and i took nothing and left nothing . all was well with the cache here . thank you for these two newer caches in Waitara .
Here today with our great Nonna to celebrate mothersday.
Was with the co when this was placed.

Out and about on a maintenance run and this geocache was nearby so needed finding.
This is new. Or rather it wasn't here thirty years ago when I lived in Waitara.
All good here. Thanks for placing this cache.

Heading off for a long weekend to New Plymouth with tmann421.
The Naki put on perfect weather for us.
Some wonderful caches found and great sites seen.
All logs signed tm/ww NZ
Thanks to the cache owners, without their efforts this game would not be possible.

I thought this was going to be DNF, but managed to locate away from where someone had set the board walk on fire, cache is safe and sound, dry as a bone

Luckily we did this cache yesterday! Never seen the area so busy, with everyone distracted by children and fishing - there won't be any more fun for sometime, judging by the rising winds and waves a bit later! Good thing I had my almost-invisibility cloak around me . TFTC Watcache.
Really crowded at the time - plenty of adults fishing with their children. Managed to SL and rehide it safely just before the event finished and everyone headed back towards us and their vehicles. TFTC watcache.
Thought I would go for this a quite Sunday only to find it was the take a child fishing event and every car park was taken and the shore of the beach covered with rod holding families got the gps cords and sat down at ground zero and managed to sign and get back without being seen thanks watcache TFTC
I found it - it is *very* close to where some idiot lit the boardwalk on fire! However, the cache is ok! It's *not* under the burnt part. Signed the log. TFTC
found this one while collecting adventure lab
why would some arsehole attempt to burn the board walk nearby.
container okay.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)…
Auckland Anniversary: The Taranaki weather had been particularly good to us this weekend, considering the mayhem it had sparked further up the country. It felt almost anticlimactic to be going home today, but work beckons…
Whilst on the trail of the Waitara Riverside Ramble AdLab, we spied this nearby cache. The wreckage was still smouldering, But the cache was sufficiently removed to escape certain damage. Gap spotted the hide and it was a quick retrieval without needing to get down and dirty. Thanks watcache. TFTC.

Couldn’t work out why this cache wasn’t showing on our list of caches to locate this weekend but thankfully it was on the GPS so we scored ourselves a nice easy 2TF – TFTC

Wellington yesterday, Auckland today but not before I stop in to Waitara for a couple of (FTF) on the way! Was shocked to see the melted boardwalk from a recent fire. Hope this cache is not compromised when they repair it. TFTC Mr Muggle works on this platform from time to time so was good to see a great view of it this morning.
