Drove from Whangrei to Paihia today and picked up a small number of caches along the way. Completed the local Ad Lab and worked out the coords for both bonus caches a real bonus having two, and both in the same direction! Took a moment or two to spot this ones hidey-hole! #8066. TFTC.

Today we visited Kawakawa and admired the Stowasser architecture. We knew the artist from Austria Smile. We really enjoyed the lab session Smile. After a walk we were happy to look for two bonuses and found both Smile.A favorite point of ours remains here Smile.MPLC and greetings from us from Germany.

After many, many hours of flying, a passage through China on the way there and through the United States of America on the way back, we will finally arrive in Christchurch which will be the starting point of our journey. We will enjoy the beaches of the Pacific Ocean and we will go back towards the North Island via State Highway 1. To combine business with pleasure, we will take regular breaks and small detours according to the caches that seem the most accessible to us.With a little more than 3500 km in 20 days, we will have discovered many facets of this island which is soothing. We will have to come back because there are so many places that we have not done . In broad strokes, the path will go from Christchurch to the Kaikoura Peninsula then towards Picton for the crossing to Wellington.New island, new road, and by State Highway 2 we go towards Hastings and Napier. We will leave the seaside for several days to go to Tongariro and Taupo. We will continue north towards Rotorua and Hamilton (without forgetting a detour via Hobbiton ) A detour to the Coromandel Peninsula and finally the almost north of the island with Whangarei and Waitangi to learn the history of this country. There will only be a few days left to spend towards Auckland and its suburbs before taking the plane back to the grayness of our European autumn. The majority of the boxes will be found, we have abandoned those where our English was lacking and where we could not understand the clue. Thanks to all the owners who brightened up our path, who took us to incredible places (that's also geocaching)In short, we had a great vacation, saw beautiful places that simply ask us to come back. We learned a lot about the history of this country and its traditions, it's a great motivation for our destinations.-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --Petit log en retard mais un peu plus complet maintenant que nous sommes rentrs la maison.

On a holiday up in the Bay of Islands of the winterless north. What a busy time it was with all the historical sites to explore and their significance to discover. It is no wonder that by the end of the day, we were getting back to our accommodation and just blobbing after a good dinner. Of course, you cannot go anywhere other than your home town and not do some caching while you are there. As coincidence would have it, team HeMaLuDy were also having a holiday in the Bay of Islands as well and staying a few roads away from us. We conspired to meet up and do the vintage rail ride from Kawakawa to Te Akeake station along the old railway running from Kawakawa to Opua. This is definitely a trip worth taking if you get the chance. With the trip starting and ending in Kawakawa, we just had to clear out the town of it's physical caches, all three of them.We wandered around and got all the information from the AdLab, which was also interesting, and proceeded to figure out the co-ordinates for this bonus whilst we were having lunch. After we had refuelled, we headed over to GZ to grab the cache. It didn't take long until the cache was found and the log signed. With that out of the way, it was on to finding the next cache.TFTC

Today continued our roadtrip with direction Kerikeri. During the day we visited some planned spots but also discovered some nice locations by chance. CoolWe read in our travel guide about the Hundertwasser toilet but we were not aware that this area is full of his art! Really great place to visit. We also learned some new fact about the artist as we didn' t know that he lived that long in NZ. We saw some his best known objects in Vienna and thought he would have lived most time in Austria. After the labcaches we went to the both bonus caches and found them. Thanks for hiding and maintaining the cache.Happy hunting!TFTCschnuckel1[#24272]

We really enjoyed doing the Ad-lab and this bonus was a bonus for us. I can see how the previous cacher's misses it, I also did on my first sweep. It was pretty much where I expected it to be and a second visit to the host and a closer inspection revealed the cache. T4tC 0B80B8,Civvnr&MissTreadlightly....(UK) Geocaching.com finds so far 11343

Our third stop after Los Angeles and Hawaii is New Zealand.

This time was of course used to find some geocaches here.
Today we were searching for the Mystery **Hundertwasser Mem Park Ad Lab Bonus #1**

Thank to the Hint and the good coordinates the little box was found quickly!
After signing the logbook there is a new smile on our geocaching map!

At least we would like to take this opportunity to thank 0B80B8 for creating the ALC and maintaining this Mystery.

Greetings from Nuermberg/Germany
