I had a few hours in Kawakawa before the bus left, so visiting these places was a must. Thanks
Drove from Whangrei to Paihia today and picked up a small number of caches along the way. Completed the local Ad Lab and worked out the coords for both bonus caches a real bonus having two, and both in the same direction! Took a moment or two to spot this ones hidey-hole! #8066. TFTC.
Today we visited Kawakawa and admired the Stowasser architecture. We knew the artist from Austria . We really enjoyed the lab session .After a walk we were happy to look for two bonuses and found both .A favorite point of ours remains here .MPLC and greetings from us from Germany.
At ground level, put it back where clue said-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --French version below-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --Short late log but more complete now that we are back home. Our vacation will take us to the other side of the world to the land of the Maoris. After many, many hours of flying, a passage through China on the way there and through the United States of America on the way back, we will finally arrive in Christchurch which will be the starting point of our journey. We will enjoy the beaches of the Pacific Ocean and we will go back towards the North Island via State Highway 1. To combine business with pleasure, we will take regular breaks and small detours according to the caches that seem the most accessible to us.With a little more than 3500 km in 20 days, we will have discovered many facets of this island which is soothing. We will have to come back because there are so many places that we have not done . In broad strokes, the path will go from Christchurch to the Kaikoura Peninsula then towards Picton for the crossing to Wellington.New island, new road, and by State Highway 2 we go towards Hastings and Napier. We will leave the seaside for several days to go to Tongariro and Taupo. We will continue north towards Rotorua and Hamilton (without forgetting a detour via Hobbiton ) A detour to the Coromandel Peninsula and finally the almost north of the island with Whangarei and Waitangi to learn the history of this country. There will only be a few days left to spend towards Auckland and its suburbs before taking the plane back to the grayness of our European autumn. The majority of the boxes will be found, we have abandoned those where our English was lacking and where we could not understand the clue. Thanks to all the owners who brightened up our path, who took us to incredible places (that's also geocaching)In short, we had a great vacation, saw beautiful places that simply ask us to come back. We learned a lot about the history of this country and its traditions, it's a great motivation for our destinations.-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --Petit log en retard mais un peu plus complet maintenant que nous sommes rentrs la maison.
Completed the Ad Lab and with the required info headed off towards the final, no problems with the find. Thanks for setting this one up TFTC.
Thank you for the ad lab. Interesting wee town. Can hear the horn of the train today.
On a holiday up in the Bay of Islands of the winterless north. What a busy time it was with all the historical sites to explore and their significance to discover. It is no wonder that by the end of the day, we were getting back to our accommodation and just blobbing after a good dinner. Of course, you cannot go anywhere other than your home town and not do some caching while you are there. As coincidence would have it, team HeMaLuDy were also having a holiday in the Bay of Islands as well and staying a few roads away from us. We conspired to meet up and do the vintage rail ride from Kawakawa to Te Akeake station along the old railway running from Kawakawa to Opua. This is definitely a trip worth taking if you get the chance. With the trip starting and ending in Kawakawa, we just had to clear out the town of it's physical caches, all three of them.We wandered around and got all the information from the AdLab, which was also interesting, and proceeded to figure out the co-ordinates for this bonus whilst we were having lunch. After we had refuelled, we headed over to GZ to grab the cache. It didn't take long until the cache was found and the log signed. With that out of the way, it was on to finding the next cache.TFTC
After completing the ad lab stages and admiring the art work in town we stopped for a picnic lunch and worked out the bonus coordinates. A nice quick find here.

A nice walk around town and then an added bonus in the parkm all make for a good morning. Thanks.
Replaced the damaged container today and updated the hint slightly to make it a bit easier.
What a unique artist Hundertwasser was and the AdLab was spectacular. It is always great to have a bonus and having 2 is awesome Tftc Two Aussies in NZ for 6 weeks thoroughly enjoying ourselves. This one took way too long before we found it, sneaky

Having a lovely time walking around the town. Admiring the new library.Nice sneaky hide.
We really enjoyed the AdLab here! Thanks heaps for setting it up.This hide eluded me and Net61 at first......pretty tricky !!!!
Today continued our roadtrip with direction Kerikeri. During the day we visited some planned spots but also discovered some nice locations by chance. We read in our travel guide about the Hundertwasser toilet but we were not aware that this area is full of his art! Really great place to visit. We also learned some new fact about the artist as we didn' t know that he lived that long in NZ. We saw some his best known objects in Vienna and thought he would have lived most time in Austria. After the labcaches we went to the both bonus caches and found them. Thanks for hiding and maintaining the cache.Happy hunting!TFTCschnuckel1[#24272]
Enjoyed the wander around Kawakawa with SJT_NZ exploring the interesting design work then a short-extended walk for the 2 bonuses, thanks 0B80B8.
Completed the AdLab on our way North the other day, so we picked up these caches on our way South today! A nice easy find here, TFTC!
Day one of our Northland road trip. A fun ALC here and great to have two bonus caches to find!! A tricky find here but we managed it - TFTC
We really enjoyed doing the Ad-lab and this bonus was a bonus for us. I can see how the previous cacher's misses it, I also did on my first sweep. It was pretty much where I expected it to be and a second visit to the host and a closer inspection revealed the cache. T4tC 0B80B8,Civvnr&MissTreadlightly....(UK) Geocaching.com finds so far 11343
Heading south towards Auckland, our final destination on our trip around NZ. We spotted this AL so decided to stop as we had enjoyed the Hundertwasser museum in Whangarei. Quick find at GZ after doing the AL. Great. We wouldnt have stopped here otherwise. Good use of an AL.
Coordinates led me a to nearby, but I figured the location quickly. Container is broken at one end and the magnet is out. It's being held together with the magnet.

We are spending the night in Whangarei with Team Welsh, on our way home from a week's holiday in the Bay of Islands. We enjoyed the wander around Hundertwasser Mem Park doing the Ad Labs, and 2 puzzles for the price of 1 sounds good to us! Thanks for this one.
I decided to have a go at 2 caches for the effort for 1 AdLab. There should be more of these.
It worked out very well. I soon had the coords for this worked out and went to retrieve it.
Cheers for the cache, 0B80B8.

After completing the adventure lab, we headed to Ngawha Springs hot pools. As we had to return through Kawakawa to get back to Whangarei, we stopped to collect the 2 bonus caches. We parked very close to gz and soon had the cache in hand. We had to wait for the train to pass before replacing the cache as found. TFTC
Found this micro cache after completing the adventure with our New Zealand cousins.
We are on our long-awaited journey around the world in 99 days. Second try after canceling in 2020.

We, geosnuf and I, are on holiday in New Zealand.
Partly thanks to geocaches, such as this alc, we come to many beautiful and special places.

This one was a bit harder to find than the five ad lab locations. I was at GZ as the train rumbled past. Interesting experience, TFTC.
First stop of the day is Kawakawa and completing this Adventure Lab on our way to today's event in Paihia.
This was a great quick walk Exploring Kawakawa. We had lunch at the Cafe next to the last waypoint before heading to get the bonuses. This was an easy find. TFGC Found with Nessvab & The Travelbug Tribe.
