After being contacted by Maccamob, I went out to check on the cache and it has gone, completely. There is no sign of it whatsoever within the vicinity.
A Failure! Stopped by the area on our way to stay with family at Warragul for the weekend and after finding Power Assisted not far away. We really needed more time, but had to give up after about half an hour in order to make the family lunch. The site was very soggy from top to bottom, and there were certainly too many trees and not enough time to check around them all thoroughly. We didn't even see Derringer's magazine stash! We too will have to stop by again.
Kevin & Meredith looked for 1hr for this one.
GPS couldn't make up its mind in the trees so had little idea which tree to look for so we searched lots of them on both sides. Porno mags were the only things we found.
Will try again when next in area.

We were introduced to caching for the first time today by our friend Muzza. This cache was quite handy being not too far from home. It was quite easy to find, and surprizingly large. Our little tike was also very pleased with the contents, as well as the treasure hunt, and thanks to Muzza was able to take home a prize
Thanks to Muzza for introducing us to caching, and to hunter1nz for our 1st cache.

I introduced my friends, David, Karen and Felicity to Geocaching with this cache near their home. It was very easy to find, despite what some of the earlier searchers seemed to find. We were going to attempt Tank You but darkness was encroaching and the area was closing when we got there.
I wasn't going to make a swap but Felicity decided she liked the look of the toy boat, so we took the boat and left an alarm clock.
Thanks from Muzza, David, Karen and Felicity.

Found this one at 14:40. Biggle Bear #1 was sitting, litrally, on top of the cache when Biggles Bear #2 spotted it from her lower vantage point. Well hidden. Took the Ideo Gear and left the Police boat from Peninsula Gateway. This cache certainly made up for the dissapointment of Power Assisted. Well done Hunter1NZ.
Found the road it was on, got out had a quick look around, too many trees in the area to work out which one it is. Try again next time.
Our 100th cache! Very exciting! Photos and stories of this + the other 99 on our website.
Found this one after 10 minutes of searching.
The gps put us within 4 meters of the cache.
Took nothing and left nothing.

Second one for the day. After wandering back and forward for a little while, changed the direction we were aproaching it from and found it within a minute.

Our 2nd cache for the day, when we arrived at the location and were on the spot according to the GPS I thought we would be hunting for a long time and walking away without finding it, but Sophie found it within 30 secs.
Great hiding spot
No exchange took place
thanks for the hunt

We found it, this was our first cache. Very nice hidy hole it was in. Took us about 20 minutes to find it. Didnt take anything, just wrote in the logbook.
Found by Ray and Maya (Nomads) at 6:35PM on Sunday the 28th October 2001 after failing at Tank You because the hosting facility closed for the day at 5:00PM. The co-ordinates for the cache were spot on and after re-starting the GPS and triangulating a position, we were within 3 metres of the cache. Interesting location. We took a Conway Twitty CD and replaced it with a Video Display Terminal Organiser. The cache was in good condition and the mozzies of the area were savage. Thanks Ray and Maya (Nomads)
Almost on the point of giving up when we found this one - it certainly was well hidden! We exchanged a stubbie holder for the 'red devil'. Greg and Bev
Hey Hunter1nz! Had to go a fair distance to find this one hehe. This was cache 2 of 5 today. Didn't have any maps of the area so I was going mostly on the GPS reading. Drove right up, and over the bridge to end up on the right side of the tracks. Took about 5 minutes searching to find the cache. No exchange was made. Cheers Gav
Found this cache on my first visit, it was very well hidden and took me about 15 minutes to locate. I didn't take or leave anything, my main goal was just to find it.
Secont visit I found it in under a minute. My GPS had led me to the correct area on the first visit but I think it was user error that caused me not to find it (looking in the wrong spot)Left some Tongan money and too the Rain Forest CD so i'll stress less next time. Also covered up the path that was developing on the cutting. Didnt get as wet this time
Quasar and Skyfox found this cache on 10/6/2001 (I think i wrote 2000 in the log book, but you know what I mean!). This was my first find.
We searched for about 20 minutes above and below the cutting, before catching sight of the white lid. It's very well hidden and we made sure to cover it back up afterwards so other people could have the thrill of finding it!
Took the PNG money and the american dollar, and left a Red Devil and a Victorian Statistical Yearbook (last year's edition).
Hope this one survives if/when the government re-opens the railway...

I read the same article in the age and went and bought a gps. This was my first find. It was well hidden. Probably more difficult than 2.5
This was the hardest yet. The cache is very well hidden, though it IS located where you think it will be. The biggest problem for me was that I took my two year old son with me and didn't want to spend too much time near the edge of the cutting in case he stepped off the edge! We took the compass keyring and in keeping with the theme of the cache left some Singapore dollars and some New Guinea Kina.
Really good sized container so there's heaps of room for more stuff from future cachers.
Tony and John.

I set out early Saturday morning after about 2 inches of rain and got to the spot in about 20 minutes. I spent the next 45 minutes climbing through the trees, wet grass, up and down the cutting accross the bridge etc etc and still couldnt find it... There were some people doing their gardining accross the road looking on all the time that I was there. Will give it another go later today if it doesnt rain again.
Found your cache on Wednesday 6 June at 1:40pm. I read about Geocaching in The Age yesterday and, with interest sparked, decided to use my day off to look for one. My GPS took me right to it - well almost. Looking at the terrain, it was hidden where I thought it might be. The music wasn't quite my taste (!) so I took the Kiwi soft toy and replaced it with a book of crossword puzzles. Now I'll have to make my own cache!
Tony and John tried twice over the weekend to find this one without any luck. It's only fifteen minutes from home so I thought it would be a nice quick jaunt to find it before lunch but no such luck. I think it's near a disused railway line but was unable to find any signs.
