Hi TiedyeSmileys. Today we found your cache on the Devo trip for the year. VK7HCH and I hatched yet another plan to whip it up to the north to continue our plundering of caches both GC and GCA. As there are so many caches in this area we had freedom of choice to do those we wished to. We have solved a few puzzles so we can find those and lots of others. Although I didnt find the girl U want, the caches were enough. Its a beautiful world here in Tassie. Thanks for hiding the cache for us to find today. Finding this cache takes my GC finds to 5239 and I found it on Saturday 26 Oct 2024FTF: NoMates: VK7HCHMuggles: Condition: GoodWeather: slightly cloudyMy favorites:Creative - Back to the future 1 by peaches (GCA5JYD)Hardest - Men in Black Holes by SG-3 (Archived)Most visited - Dragons Lair by Shagzter (GC2E33)Tractable also visited your cache

Thanks TiedyeSmileys for placing Highlight of Devonport. Swampy and I headed back to plunder more of the Northern coast over the Hobart Show long weekend. 4 day long weekend for 1 days annual leave. Sweet. This is day 23 Devonport and surrounds. At least my log is not full of bad 80s references. This run has us finding both GC and GCA caches. So many caches, so little time. This is my GC find #2176 and was found on 26/10/2024 at 08:54FTF: Found with: SwampyWeather: fairMuggles: noneLight level: goodCache condition: goodDistance from GZ: Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81

Came to the Mersey Bluff lighthouse a few days ago, upon arriving in Devonport, but no time for caching then. Today we returned while waiting for the ferry to open for check in, and thus took the opportunity to meander down the cliff side to the cache. Took things nice and slow given the wind, and slippery rocks and plants in places. The waypoint for toe way down was useful although we came back a different way that spat us out right in front of the parked geomobile (i.e. further west). A nicely crafted hide and very appropriate given the area. Thanks TiedyeSmileys for the cache and fabrication Smile. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their long lasting, and ongoing connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to Traditional Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

I was in Devonport to catch the Spirit to Geelong and being early I checked to see what was available in the way of caches to be found. This being of regular size attracted my attention as I need a few more of these to complete challenge. Accordingly the cache was found and the log signed while a strong cold wind was blowing. A favourite point awarded.

The weather is perfect again today to go for a cruise around Devonport with my mate, Snips, looking for some caches. Once again, who knows where we will end up After some delicious fish and chips for lunch with the entertainment provided by the local seagulls, we checked out the sailors night light! I initially was only going to do the nearby EarthCache but while purchasing lunch, another customer noticed I was looking at caches on my phone, turns out they were also a cacher, and suggested I go looking for this one. Im really happy I did . Such a cool cache and worthy of a . I also got to pick up a TB that had ducked in the cache for a rest.TFTC TiedyeSmileysKeep smiling

I've been here many a time back when I was camped out nearby for a season. The effort gone into making this a more special cache than just the location sees it deserving an easy favourite here. Good job gang.Sorry for the late log, this has been sitting in drafts a long time now I write this at the end of march. ??Thanks so much tiediedsmileys for choosing to place a jazzy themed cache in such a cool spot. ????

After a lovely lunch i made my way to this one attracted by the number of Fave Points.Parked up top and 'eventually' Big Grin made my way down the right way to this hide. At GZ the hide was spotted and when i reached in to grab it i paused with fear coz the covering over the container looked like snake scales [:o] it was no Danger-Noodle thankfully.Wow! What a seriously COOL cache container (Fave Point for this one easily and for the location and lighthouse in general) I took pics then sat myself down to sign the log at 13:52 on Tuesday 21 November 2023 and just took in the sights and sounds of such an awesome spot CoolReturned the cache with care and covered it properly so no Muggles will spot it and was off to take some pics of "The Colonel's" favourite Lighthouse Big GrinTFTC TiedyeSmileys Smile

Out looking around Devonport today after getting off the ship. Saw this cache had lots of favourites and with a nice view so thought we'd check it out and was delighted to find the well crafted cache as well. Thanks for the hide.

#759 ~ This was a must find cache after our friends 2Shadows visited this location exactly a month ago and said how awesome it was. After a rock scramble to GZ (I dont recommend wearing a dress to many scratchy things along the way) we soon located a very cleverly crafted cache. Thanks for your creativity. Left a little surprise for the next lucky cacher. Spotted a TB enjoying the view of the Bass Straight. Krossbo collected her to road trip back to QLD and join our other hitchhikers making their way to QLD too. TFTC TiedyeSmileys!!

Being a goat was how I saw how to do this one with Muddtrax on our last day in Tassie. Great cache, great hide with an awesome view of Bass Straight. Left a special surprise for the next cacher. TFTC

A trip to Devonport with Goose as we both had a day off. I certainly needed a break as I hadnt really had a day away just caching for a little while. Great day, with the odd shower, but I managed to find quite a few caches as well as get two FTF's which is unusual for me to get even one. The highlight of the day would probably be the FTF on the Hancock clan's cache on the midlands highway. A very cool cache. Thanks for the cacheA very cool cache that gets a favorite point from me. Probably would have been the highlight, except for the great cache on the midlands. Of course we took the hard way in and the easy way out

07-Nov-23
Out for a drive with Budgietas on a rare day off. We grabbed a couple of caches on the way up to the coast then grabbed a few in East Devonport before crossing the Mersey and up to the bluff. We took a long winded approach to this cache but made a quick find on the very appropriate cache once there.Very nicely made and deserves a favourite point. We found a quick and easy path back up - of course! Thanks TiedyeSmileys

31-Oct-23
Took us a moment to find how to get to it but after finding a way it was fairly simple, cute cashe

I don't know why we have been putting off looking for this cache for so long as the walk to GZ wasn't nearly as tricky as we thought. In fact we got there andd back quite easily. While Mr Beetle was studying the GPS I spotted the potential hide and quickly had the cache container in hand.Despite spending hours in this area I had never been to this section of the area before. On such a beaut day it was lovely to just sit on the rocks and enjoy the spectacular views - those orange rocks really do add to the scenery.Quite a few muggles were also venturing down on to the rocks near GZ, mainly to get a selfie with the lighthouse behind.Another great Tiedye Smileys cache. Thanks and have another well deserved favourite point for this well constructed hide.

28-Oct-23
We have had our eye on this cache for quite a while now but due to a sciatic injury its taken us a while to get brave enough to attempt this one. There was one spectacular fall (that grassy stuff is really nice and soft to land in though) but no injuries except to my pride . Mr 11 laughed at me before he helped drag me out of the bush . We spent lots of time taking photos and admiring the view until Mr 11 saw a tiny little snake wedge himself into a rock crack (I thought it might have been a lizard but nope he was right, it was tiny but I wasnt getting close enough to take a non blurry photo ). Aaaand during all the excitement we dropped off a trackable. We absolutely loved this cache and dropped off heaps out of our cache stash also. Definitely earns a favourite from us TFTC*** photo taken right next to baby snake before panic broke out Found with LittleBoo17

after finding the cache near the sound shell we went for a walk around the bluff to the lighthouse to grab this cache. found a path and picked our way to Gz. followed the crushed flowers from past visitors footsteps and we were soon there. Beautiful spot we didn't know was safe enough to get to so thank you. Cache itself is awesome and well made. deserving. favourite point for originality from us. Cache and contents all in excellent dry condition and a few snaps taken whilst here of the views

This is my favourite cache in Tasmania! We took a photo with the two of them. Its amazing! Missed the Bay of fires but this tops it. The sound of the waves splashing was so calming and relaxing. Just to think we will be on this sea tonight heading back to Queensland. This is our 1500th cache and a great place to achieve that milestone. TFTC ITS AWESOME.

Jetstar was having a sale…. in the middle of winter, for a destination further south than I already live. That sounds like a great idea!

So a plan for a 4 night whirlwind tour of the northern part of the state was hatched. I’ve seen lots of this beautiful state, but haven’t found a single cache. With plenty of challenges to tick off, and a long list of targeted caches, this week is the time to turn that around.

After flying in last night, today sees an ambitious schedule with plans to cache all the way to Ulverstone for the CITO and event, and then on to Stanley.

What a great spot to stop for a cache. A rock scramble down to the cache followed by admiring the views.

Thanks TiedyeSmileys for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Thanks for the cache TiedyeSmileys.
It was a glorious sunny day today, and I was keen to grab a few last caches before heading home to the south of the state.
It was a bit tricky finding an appropriate path, but soon enough I spotted a potential hide. Sure enough, this was the place. An excellent cache container was revealed at GZ - very appropriate - and I was happy to sign the log. Great views today.

No way I’m going along there!

23-Feb-23
What an excellent piece of kit this find is ! Highly recommended, but we do impress on cachers to do their best to conceal the cache as there is definitely a high muggle presence here at times, and it would be such a shame for this hide to go missing in action. FAVOURITE awarded without hesitation. Thankyou for your efforts TiedyeSmileys.
