Busy area with fishermen but didn't take any notice of us. Cache soon found on a lovely afternoon.
The fish must have been running today as the area was packed with fishermen. Luckily GZ was away from all the activity and we could find the cache without drawing too much attention to ourselves. A good hide. Lovely views as the sun is setting. Tftc
Thanks for your amazing cache mcwatt & kahluis. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches.Found with Fisha1288. All good here. Lots of fishers here trying their luck. Cheers, Cympull.
Good hide - lots of fishermen nearby. Glad I detoured to see this spit. Tftc
The whole team was out and about today. Was hoping to knock off all of Te Puke area, but we had a couple of DNFs and weren't feeling up to any puzzles or multis. Then out to Kaituna to try for a couple more.Heaps of muggles nearby trying to catch some dinner. Lucky for us nobody paid us any attention. Oldest team member had to "tie their shoe" and thus confirmed the location. Middle team member went in for the stealthy retrieval, sign & return. No issues with container or log. TFTC!
Good find with woolwood9 having a few days away.*We enjoyed the good caches for us to visit!*SL *tm/ww NZ*Thanks for the cache. Many muggles about but not paying any attention to us.
Heading north with tmann421 for a few days. This was day three with plenty of miles for us to cover.Enjoyed the hide here, so many people here fishingSigned log tm/ww NZTFTC
What a stunning day for fishing, and everyone else thought the same. Very busy, but a quick stealth grab.
TFTC We were not going to find this fishing spot if it was not for the cache.
We were yesterday and today. Yesterday the block was pumping with so many people and lots of fish being caught. Great to see so many people enjoying the day
I’m pleased I saved a few caches near home for these souvenir challenges. Nice morning with only a handful of fishermen. Many thanks
Found with CamCat1 on this cool sunny day. Nice hide and the Cut has improved since my last visit. Cheers
Spending a few weeks working in Whakatane. Had the weekend free so headed off on this sunny winters day. Have been here before and walked the dunes. Today was a quick stop to collect some new caches since our last visit. Cache and log all fine. Thanks for the smiley.
Heaps of fisherman but the caches host gave me a good reason to look like i was reading while feeling about.Quickly had it in my hand & the only time i had to check was when i had to duck down to ensure it correct location. Thanks guys.
Love this area and as usual lots of people down here fishing off the wharf and beach. Really nice family feeling Wandered off on the track a bit and managed to get the log signed without being noticed. TFTC
Despite a nearly full carpark all the occupants were otherwise occupies with catching their dinner.
No problem with the find TFTC.

With Mum and nephew… Mum reckons she hasn’t been anywhere in months. It was a reasonably fine Sunday for a drive, so let’s go exploring. The Eastern Bay was looking particularly good…
Interestingly, I’d noticed this ‘object’ before and planned to use it for my own caching purposes… The tide was almost out, and fishermen were lining the beach, so most of the action was in that direction. I circled and spotted the cache quickly - a very clever placement for this environment. Thanks Macwatt and Kahluis. TFTC.

Having returned from dropping our grandson off in Tauriko after a weeks holiday with Oma and Opa, noted that this cache had not yet been located. Fortunately we had not collected the other close by caches when over on the weekend so could clean them all up in one swoop!
Arrived just as a bus load of people were leaving, so once they had cleared the area, the only other muggles were on the far side fishing, so it was a nice quick find and a blank log to boot. A nice tidy placement. TFTC
