Finding caches for Leap Day. We wanted some quick finds as we're out at 8pm because I had work today. Caching with Jonescrew. Thanks for placing these, we enjoyed these parklands. No one around to spring us
A long planned trip away finally came to fruition as we headed off to Geelong after a gap of some years to catch up with caching friends. There is always a good variety of caches and hides to search for and Geelong itself is a pretty spot with lots of places to explore. Plenty of history and lovely scenery with the bay, riverside, open paddocks and bushland. We particularly enjoyed the many trails and riverside paths where Mrs SKI could give her new ebike a workoutA great time was had with lots of laughs and ribbing as we searched for the various caches and wondered what we might find next. We also had the chance to catch up with some great local cachers on a lovely evening out.Logs signed as SKI Pair, SP or RASP.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Saltie.**SKI Pair****

What a fantastic day of geocaching around Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula! The weather was perfect, and the landscapes were stunning. Our group ventured through a mix of urban areas, lush parks, and coastal paths in search of hidden caches. The camaraderie among our caching crew made the day even more enjoyable, with plenty of laughs and shared triumphs as we uncovered each cache. As the sun began to set, we gathered to celebrate our successes and swap stories from the day's adventures.Geocaching around Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula was truly a memorable experience, and we can't wait to return for more caching adventures in the future! This is one of the caches found today. A nice little stroll to find this one. Thanks Saltie for the cache.
Yep did a check on this cache and there to be found with plenty of log for your Mark
We have been staying at Barwon Heads for a few days, and this morning it was rain rain rain before we checked out. Yesterday after finding Marshy Views, we were walking to Little Bridge and we noticed a beautiful big Groodle walking towards us, who was eager for a pat. We ended up talking to the owner for ages and so by the time we got here the light was fading. We looked for a little bit but with too many spots it was too hard to spot it. Today after GMelb dropped me at the Barwon Heads shops he headed here where there was no-one around as it was early and the area was still very wet from the rain. We had contacted a previous finder the evening before and they gave us a hint so GMelb was able to find straight away without getting too wet lol. The GPS had indicated nearer the other end yesterday. TFTC and nice series in a pretty area Saltie - GJMMelb
Did not find today. Too many elderly muggles wandering the area on a beautiful Saturday morning. Will wait until a bit quieter or next time I'm back here. Will give me an excuse to visit this beautiful park again

After completing the OG Beach series we headed into suburbia to seek out the 3 park placements.
We made this harder for ourselves than the D1 indicated but once the hide was spotted we both rolled our eyes and wondered how we had missed it.
Thanks Saltie for another scenic view of your local park.

Geocaching has slowed down for the old Bushfire over the last year owing to COVID-19 and a serious illness but today thanks to my great caching friends the suscoe’s today was a little different. As we were in the area today my friends detoured from the direct route to Barwon Heads and called into these three caches to help the ageing Bushfire locate these caches.
This is a very pleasent location which I never knew was here.
Clever hide which even Bushfire with his problems could grab once you found where it was hiding.

Well, this cache rounds out caching for another month.
We had a little shopping to do, so we headed to nearby shops.
While in the area, we checked out this cache.
Mr Dromaniax can remember when this area was all farmland, and he used to come yabbying at a dam nearby. Well, that has all changed, as Ocean Grove is attempting to become a small city.
We made a nice quick find, and the cache is in excellent condition.
Thank you for this Traditional cache Saltie.

Suscoe decided to get out on this lovely Sunday afternoon and find a few caches.
It has been a while since we had ventured out this way.
A sunny afternoon, pleasantly mild and most enjoyable.
We approached this one and split the options between us.
Sure enough the cache was found but the one who was closests to the hide.
Another interesting spot and we wondered what this looked like during some of those huge rainstorms from recent times.
Thanks to Saltie.

I noticed this group of caches come out early morning, as I was busy I continued on with my day. Later in the afternoon no one had shown these caches any love and as I was in the area I took a small detour to see if they hadn’t been logged online yet.
Once at GZ I had to wait for a gardener and walker to pass before going in search of the hide. The cache was soon in hand with a blank log for a [FTF].
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the Traditional Cache Saltie
