A long planned trip away finally came to fruition as we headed off to Geelong after a gap of some years to catch up with caching friends. There is always a good variety of caches and hides to search for and Geelong itself is a pretty spot with lots of places to explore. Plenty of history and lovely scenery with the bay, riverside, open paddocks and bushland. We particularly enjoyed the many trails and riverside paths where Mrs SKI could give her new ebike a workoutA great time was had with lots of laughs and ribbing as we searched for the various caches and wondered what we might find next. We also had the chance to catch up with some great local cachers on a lovely evening out.Logs signed as SKI Pair, SP or RASP.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Saltie.**SKI Pair****

What a fantastic day of geocaching around Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula! The weather was perfect, and the landscapes were stunning. Our group ventured through a mix of urban areas, lush parks, and coastal paths in search of hidden caches. The camaraderie among our caching crew made the day even more enjoyable, with plenty of laughs and shared triumphs as we uncovered each cache. As the sun began to set, we gathered to celebrate our successes and swap stories from the day's adventures.Geocaching around Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula was truly a memorable experience, and we can't wait to return for more caching adventures in the future! This is one of the caches found today. Thanks Saltie for the cache.

After going back to the Holiday House in Barwon Heads for lunch and cooling off in the air conditioning and then a trip to Torquay Bunnings, we made an early dinner and set off again for some caches around Ocean Grove. This was the last for the evening as it was almost dark by now but we thought wed have a quick try and if we couldnt find it wed try again tomorrow lol So walking from Marshy Views to Little Bridge we noticed a beautiful big Groodle walking towards us, who was eager for a pat. We ended up talking to the owner for ages and so by the time we got to LB the light was fading. We looked for a little bit but with too many spots it was too hard to spot it. We were going to head back to the HH but we were driving right past this one so decided to have a quick look even though there wasnt much light at all by now. Luckily GMelb spotted it pretty easily. Funny spot for that odd one out for sure and will get funnier over time! TFTC Saltie - GJMMelb

After completing the OG Beach series we headed into suburbia to seek out the 3 park placements.
We could hear children playing behind the fence while we searched for this one. The title made for an obvious place to start looking. Did not take long and we had the cache in hand, however the cable tie has been broken and now just sits snugly in its surroundings.
Thanks Saltie for all the new cache hides in OG and giving us a reason to return to this lovely coastal town.

Albeit windy, it was still a sunny July day to get the boys out for a bike and scoot. Bartered with them that I'd need their assistance finding some caches in exchange for letting them play some Minecraft when we got home. Worked a treat.
After passing by the Marshy View bench that was occupied at the time and spending 10 minutes looking for the nearby Little Bridge cache and failing, we headed for this one.
Owing to the cache name, this proved a quick find by my nephews keen eyes.
Log signed and returned as found. Many thanks.

A suitably named cache here. It was a nice afternoon so it wasn't the easiest to extract without being seen but I managed to find a window to duck in. Thanks for the cache.

Geocaching has slowed down for the old Bushfire over the last year owing to COVID-19 and a serious illness but today thanks to my great caching friends the suscoe’s today was a little different. As we were in the area today my friends detoured from the direct route to Barwon Heads and called into these three caches to help the ageing Bushfire locate these caches.
This is a very pleasent location which I never knew was here.
I did like the cache name because that is the perfect name, well thought out.

Back in Ocean Grove to pick up Joey from the mechanic and do a little shopping for our trip to the Grampians.

We pulled up near this cache and had a sense of deja vu as we had been here the previous two days.

We wandered over to GZ and incorrectly assumed where the cache was. It helps to take note of the cache name.

Once we looked in the right spot, it was an easy find. The cache is in excellent condition.

Thank you for this Traditional cache Saltie.

De-stress Mission this morning. Life's thrown some curvy balls recently. Great to be able to get out and away from it all and lost in the world of caching.

Nice hide. Like the name given the hide.

Suscoe decided to get out on this lovely Sunday afternoon and find a few caches.
It has been a while since we had ventured out this way.
A sunny afternoon, pleasantly mild and most enjoyable.

Certainly well named.
Thanks to Saltie for this hide.
It was great to be out caching with Phetlern on an impromptu trip.

Well that was it for today, just a few finds and some terrific chatting.

After an extended break from caching locally, it was great to be out and about in the good company of Suscoe, catching up with some cleverly hidden caches such as this one. Cache name say's it all!

Thanks to Saltie for adding this cache to the gameboard.

I noticed this group of caches come out early morning, as I was busy I continued on with my day. Later in the afternoon no one had shown these caches any love and as I was in the area I took a small detour to see if they hadn’t been logged online yet.
As I was walking to GZ I checked the cache name and it all made sense which was hard to miss. Opened the to discover a blank log for a [FTF].
Log signed and replaced as found.

Thanks for the Traditional Cache Saltie
