On our way back to where we are staying today we decided to divert towards St Kilda and drive back along Beach Rd a drive we always enjoy, but this time with some time to stop along the way. This is one of the caches we found. Its been a long time since we have been in this area. While Mrs SKI was working on the nearby Virtual I diverted off to search for this one. After wandering backwards and forwards for a while the cache was finally spotted.Family matters have brought us to Melbourne for a period of time yet to be determined. As we spend time here however it gives us the opportunity for some caching in areas we would not usually get to.We chased a wide variety of caches and Labs with some great puzzles and Labs in some beautiful spring weather.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache TomAndSnail.**SKI Pair****

In here for a nearby event. Fortunately i was nice and early so there were not too many people around. Initially I was looking in the wrong spot. After checking the clue I moved to a more likely location and found the cache. Although tall enough, I felt the cache before I seeing it. Can't remember the last time I was at Luna Park, but it was a long time ago. Thanks TomandSnail

No luck. Have to get someone tall for help next time. TFTC

Wrapping up the afternoon of adventure I spotted one of my newest favourite ice cream stores. With an ice cream in hand I started the return journey back to the car, but not before nabbing one last cache. There were a couple of people in the park, but they were all facing away from me so I was able to retrieve and sign the cache undetected.A big thanks goes to TomAndSnail for taking the time to add Thrill Seekers to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Are you ready for Victorias next big event?Join us for Victorias first ever *Block Party* to celebrate 25 years of geocaching.**When:** March 22 - 23, 2025**Where:** Hume Global Learning Centre, SunburyLog your will attend at [**GCAP417: The Sunbury Event** ](https://coord.info/GCAP417) Visit our [**Block Party website** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/the-sunbury-event) for more details on the exciting lineup of events and activities as they are released!

Bisoutje and I are on a roadtrip with a campervan between Cairns and Adelaide and have now touched ground in Melbourne. We have spent 3 beautiful days here filled with sightseeing, good food, meeting the most friendly people and of course finding some geocaches as well.Today we explored the southside of the Yarra river, starring at St. Kilda and working our way up to the Botanical gardens. St. Kilda has a nice vibe with many little shops and restaurants. I bet this is the place to be in summer. This one was a quick find although I spent a good 2 minutes trying to pull it out its hiding spot. Park was closed but we did not mind. We got places to be and things to see Wink.TFTC!

07-Aug-24
Out on a sunny day to do some labs locations and saw this cache in the area. Sadly despite what I thought was a pretty thorough look no luck today. Will have to come back!

07-Aug-24
I'd just finished logging this as a DNF when a couple of m away from my original search area I spied something that looked a little out of place. At last that was it. TFTC and the smile in the end!

05-Jun-24
Got muggled during my search, so a dnf for this one.

03-Jun-24
I was in the general area today... with enough time to focus on finding a Multi. My travels took me quite close to this cache so I took a small detour to come looking. Although the "clock was ticking", I eventually found it... but that meant the pressure was now on to finish the Multi. Thanks **TomAndSnail** for this cache.

I thought Sunday would be a good day to head just south of the city and St Kilda to do some caches because it wouldn't be busy but with the South Melbourne and St Kilda markets on that was not always the case. Luckily I could jump out of the car and get the clues while the geowife circled the block and came back to get me in numerous places which made it super easy even though it was busy.I had a look for a few minutes and didn't find anything, luckily it was pretty cold so not many muggles around here at all. Then they found a park nearby so I managed to be able to lift my geokid up in the air and poke their head in much higher places than my head could get and we soon had the cache found. Thanks TomAndSnail for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

17-May-24

We did go on the roller coaster today. On a day out in St Kilda, we had a search for this container whilst explaining geocaching to my English relatives but didnt find it.They were quite interested in the roller coaster so we went inside and had a go. We had to queue for an hour, but it was worth it to experience such a historic and significant ride. It was also a lot of fun. After the ride we came back out and I put my hand on it straight away! A great end to the day.TFTC TomAndSnail

28-Jan-24
On secondment to Melbourne, Australia, combined with short holidays here and there. SmileDay 7/74, Sunday, it was all about geocaching and relaxing. I had so much fun. The best part of the day was a really interesting and long discussion in a tram with an American guy that was spending a working holiday year in Australia. But the geocaches were good too. SmileThis took some time because of the muggles. There were many, on a beautiful sunny Sunday. I had to pretend to rest my feet a bit, having a break for drinking water, etc., while searching for the cache. Well, after all, people were more interested in other things than me. Smile Thank you for the cache and greetings from Vaasa, Finland! SmileLogged with [GCDroid](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gcdroid).

Rode the train down from Bendigo and met with chooknchunk and sunset62 at Southern Cross Station before jumping on a tram for St Kilda. A walk around the St Kilda Botanical Gardens for a multi. Being near lunch time we headed for Ackland St for fish and chips. After lunch, a stroll along the Esplanade picking up a variety of caches and AdLabs saw us grabbing this one. All in all a great day out. Thanks TomAndSnail for placing this Traditional Cache to enhance the game board and add to our enjoyment.

19-Jan-24
Out and about with Chook and Micaparamedic - we had fun with the St Kilda Botanical Gardens multi then had a much deserved lunch in Acland Street - this is our first stop then along the foreshore. I haven't been to Luna Park for a couple of years, used to bring my niece, it was her favourite place. Nothing has changed - so lovely being back though. The cache was found quickly and in good condition. Many thanks

19-Jan-24
Out on a caching day in St Kilda with sunset62 and micaparamedic. Travelled by train from Western Victoria, hopped on a tram to the Botanical Gardens, enjoyed the comprehensive multi there, then made our way up the foreshore until it was time for lunch in Acland Street. This was our next cache after lunch. It's been many years since Chook has been to Luna Park. From the outside it doesn't look much different. A few people were riding the roller coaster and we could hear their screams as it rolled along, all sounding the same as it used to. We then reminisced about the rocks shows seen at the Palais next door. It was fun to be back here at the seaside. No problems finding the cache - all good at GZ. TFTC TomAndSnail.

It's been a very long time between visits to Luna Park..looking up at the dodgey wooden roller coaster track....hmm doubt I will trust it to go on it again. Took a while to find this cache...thankfully I had two tall GC with me .

13-Jan-24
Out and about with My good caching friends Omegaman1971 and tiz13, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today. This one took longer than it should have, I am 6'3 with arms like an orangutan so I had no trouble reaching it.Thanks TomAndSnail for the cache.

28-Dec-23
After consulting the previous finders for a tip, I returned even with a second pair of eyes. Neither strategies seemed to help much. The first look on this visit at least I was partially covered by a tree. Waiting for muggles to pass for the second search but it was a waste of time doing that as I got a stare or two after walking away from GZ. The third search was a repeat of what I'd already done on the first visit and as I figured, my fingers just didn't register what they'd come into contact with.I suppose the cache is also smaller than what I had in mind or what I'd 'seen' of it already. All signed and returned. Gee, I wonder how much those rollercoaster supervisors on board get paid? You'd have to be a thrill seeker to want that job, but I guess us cachers are also thrill seekers in our own way. Thanks TomandSnail for bringing me here.

21-Dec-23
We enjoyed a day walking around St Kilda, riding the scenic coaster and decided to log this geocache as our first find in Victoria! We had a little difficulty finding and I was just about to give up when my husband made the find! Great hide and TFTC!

14-Dec-23
Looked for a long moment seems that the cache has disappeared !

08-Dec-23
I think I made a good effort to look for this, I even collected a nice cut in the palm of my hand. Unfortunately there's a spoiler photo in the most recent log so I knew what to look for but the wind was getting a bit heavy and large chunks were being blown off the palm trees and I wasn't keen to have one of them catch me on my head. I'll keep a watch on this.

03-Dec-23
Found it after a long search, no pen to sign as wasnt planning in any caching today.

18-Sep-23
I found this cache today on my 27,500 step Elsternwick to Albert Park Wander. I was trying to outwait a guy eating lunch nearby, which in addition to what looked like a full lunch, seemed to also include a full box of 4 ice-cream sandwiches. I completed the nearby virtual whilst I waited and he finally moved on, eating the last of his ice-creams as he wandered off. There was another man lying next to a park bench nearby but he was either fast asleep or passed out so did not hinder my search. I was luckily tall enough to retrieve it but anyone a couple of inches shorter than me would probably struggle. Thanks from D B-A

Find # 8,283 for me on 17 Sept 2023 at 11:24 am. A group find after the event. It's such a nice day here today, it was very convenient having this to find afterwards. We all felt around where we thought it might be and I was lucky enough to have the magic fingers. Thanks , for giving back to the game.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*

After meeting up with Goldy & Jimmy at their nearby event we wandered over and found this cache. Thanks for the hide.

17-Sep-23
Jimmy and Goldy are spending the weekend in Melbourne to see the Melbourne vs Carlton AFL Semi Final game.We managed to purchase two tickets to the sold out game via Ticketek Marketplace. We got very lucky, being online at the exact moment they were up for grabs.Obviously, we'll also be geocaching while we are here. I'm aiming to grab a few challenge caches and solved mysteries during our time here as well. After our nearby event began to wrap up, I made my over here with McLookers, mazza-g, gmj3191, Wombatwandering, BackPAQer and idontcachemuch to find this cache. It took us a minute or two of looking in all the hiding spots and gmj3191 eventually made the find. That rollercoaster above sounds very creaky...A nice day for it and was good to find a cache with awesome people around. Thanks TomAndSnail this traditional cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 3582 on the 17th of September 2023.CITO's are a brilliant way to help keep our community area's clean. The Earth is our playing field and we need to protect it! Always be sure to cache the "leave no trace" way!**South Australia is the place be for GCA1DNA - February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide! Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward!**
