i found this one a lot quicker than i thought and i didn't need the picture, poor octopus has a broken leg but someone did leave it in the cache, tftc
Luckily enough space between the early morning muggles enjoying the fine weather to retrieve cache. Tftc
Collecting solved puzzles and completed challenges on a hill route into the city. Down for the mega. Please excuse the generic log. Thanks for placing each and every on of your caches, including those I can't solve or can't find.
Down in Dunedin for the Mega. Great to be back for another Mega 12 years after NZ's first Mega here in 2012. Finding a few caches with Boxhill and having a few laughs on the way.The foliqge has grown somewhat since the spoiler photo was taken, but after poking around a bit the cache soon caught my eye. Thanks to the team for putting on a great Mega weekend, and also to all the COs for placing and maintaining the caches.TFTC Natalie247
Pouring with rain, but it didn't stop us. Didn't have access to the photo, but found the cache after looking in a few places. Caching with Gernita, log signed as Rad Deer, thanks
Took longer than it should have. Now the name makes sense! Signed as radeer for the MEGA event TFTC
I loved the blue octopus both here and the next one when we got there, We came down to Dunedin for the great Mega event - which was really good ! - and had had several days either side , for caching up either side of the harbour and other caches around about . It was a shame that the High cliff road has been subject to the weather patterns and heavy rain and blocked the road . T he Weather either side of the mega was reasonable, but both the saturday and the sunday were rather wet . . sadly. there are so many caches all around this area so even after 5-6 days of caching there are still hundreds of caches to be found . With so many cachessome get lost in a bit of a fog . We took nothing and left nothing .
After a 3 hour standby waiting for roadside assistance to come and change the flat tyre on our rental car, and then for another car to be delivered to us, HS and I were back on the road to find caches along this road. Octopus was soon found, signed and returned to his safe home. Tftc.
Day 10 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc. We arrived in Dunedin yesterday and today we hired bikes to ride the Otago Vine including a ferry ride across the bay.We managed to collect a lot of the puzzles we had prepared for and I think we only had a couple of DNFs. It rained, the sun shone, the wind blew, it was calm - the whole gamut really. Thanks for contributing to the fun Natalie247
Day ten of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris. We have at last arrived in Dunedin. We spent today riding the Otago Vine clockwise, collecting caches as we came across them.Stopped at Port Chalmers for lunch then caught the ferry to Portobello.Mostly a nice day except for a bit of rain just out of Portobello (but we soon dried off).I had been noticing these step down along the trail and wondered when I would be venturing down some for a cache.Just here it seems like. Thanks, Robmc.
Was here when the tide was full and a very windy day so had to face the wrath of Tangaroa but didnt get wet or fall in
Out on a leisurely bike ride with Mrs KC to Mac Bay for lunch and grabbing a few caches along the way. This was found on the way back as I misread the description and thought that I could get wet feet. Easy find with the spoiler pic.TNLN. TFTC.
Out on the bikes today and had the chance to try this one. Thank you for the quite find.
Out on a cyclocache ride up the cyclepath from Andersons Bay to Portobello and back. Read the description and stood on the platform and there the cache was. Interesting container. Thanks Natalie247.
We are staying at a holiday park for a couple of nights as we pass through to the Catlins. This morning was beautiful so after my hubby replaced my brake pads (smoked them in Waimate) I was off along the smooth path to Portobello and back. This was the first cache and a quick stop thanks to the hints.TFTC
Had a great day today cycling from Tunnel Beach all the way up to Larnach Castle. Picked up many caches along the way.Nice container, thanks!
In Dunedin to gather some caches for a challenge. Nearly gave up on this one but then it was spotted. Thanks
A nice quick find at GZ today, with the tide being on the verge of being too high, but thankfully the cache was found with dry feet. TFTC
Even with the photo, it took us a long time to locate this cache, as we found it hard to relate the photo to the current plant growth. The most helpful feature of the photo was the concrete barrier. We did actually look in the correct place at one stage, without seeing the cache, but eventually found the cute little cephalopod. TFTC
Full log to come. Ripped baggy, tatty logslips returned to unused black collar. ***3rd** Wheel challenge **Daily** Out & About! **2nd** of 20 Trad **13pt 25pt***. tftc
This took a little hunting and the spoiler photo didn't help alot. Got there in the end. Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I are heading to Invercargill for a tramping club 75th jubilee, so we left a bit early in hope that the weather would be fine, so we could get a bit of caching in. So far it has been good, fingers crossed for the rest of the time away.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.

Cache 1227 so upon ignoring pretty much all of the COs warnings about tide and wind, I decided to grab this one anyway as it was a needed hidden date and needed hidden month, I was heading back towards Dunedin and found no suitable parking close on that side of the road so I used a driveway and turned around and found a safe parking spot about 200m away from GZ, the wind fair blew in my face as I headed to GZ but I can be a determined little monkey, I got close to GZ and re read the instructions, looked down at the needed step and the waves were crashing onto it, oh well!!!! Off with the shoes and socks and the pant legs got rolled up and down I went Brrrrrrr the water was cold!!!!!!! From here though it only took me a quick moment to spy what I needed to find so I quickly got my new friend out and signed the log, how the log was dry I don’t know must be a super good seal for it’s location, I loved the container so I’m awarding a fave point T4TC

We are from Abilene, Texas, USA and have come to New Zealand to visit with a friend. We plan on going after different Cache Types while here. We will also find geocaches while going sight seeing. Today we are out with Bitsprayer and Drawp.
Thank you, Natalie247 for placing this cache for all to find. We sign log sheets either as Love Cachers or LCers. Awarded a Fav Point.
Driving over 50 miles to have...
Rusty barbed wire ripping through your clothes...
Curious rattlesnakes that come out of nowhere...
Itchy mosquito bites on every inch of your body...
A 40 mph wind gust blowing sand into your ears, nose and mouth...
Cactus needles getting stuck deep in your hands, arms and legs...
Thorny Mesquite trees scratching you up from head to toe...
Some or all of these things on a hike through 101° heat...
To sign your name or trade a toy...

With Kiscardi this took longer than it should have but it was there in the end. spending a few hours caching with kiscardi today
Thanks Natalie247 for the fun caches. We unfortunately did not see any alive Octopuses today. Out on the peninsula with NZ Bozzy picking up some of the new caches out this way.Quick find by NZ Bozzy , signed log and continued on our trip
"Do not attempt this at high tide if there are high winds" the page reads. Of course, that's exactly what we did. Fortunately we stayed dry. The photo was very helpful. TFTC.
Found with dad. I was the lookout to yell if there was a wave coming in. TFTC.
I had intended to search for this one the day it was published, but after being beaten to the Revenge of the Green Pigs FTF, I decided to leave this one for another day. Today, on the way home on a balmy evening, I decided to stop for this one. It wasn't as straightforward as I imagined but after consulting the photograph a few times, I found the right spot and there it was. A very appropriate container - the plastic bag inside has split but all is nice and dry inside.

Finished my morning work and noticed a couple of caches published. I had a break until the next job so decided to head to GZ. On approach I saw P&Vee parked up but they had yet to find the cache. We teamed up and found the tide was in our favour and soon had the cache in hand. Nicely crafted cache container. Joint (FTF) #145.
Thanks for the cache, Natalie247

I saw 2 new caches published so decided to go for them. Parked up here and was trying to decide if the tide was right to go for it or drive further down the road for the other solved cache. WilbyWarrior arrived so we decided to go together for FTF. The cache was soon in hand and a blank log book was signed, Thanks for the cache Natalie.
I found this on my way back from finding the crock at Glenfalloch. I didn’t even realise it was a new cache, not even when WilbyWarrior drive past, tooted and waved.
The octopus has already lost a leg in the rocks (it’s still there, a little glint of green), so I hope he survives the hazards of his hide. Great cache, and clear instructions, thank you Natalie, TFTC
