27-Oct-24
At last, the day of the Dunedin Mega dawned, and most of the Aussie crew from Canberra met up early this morning. After enjoying friends' old and new company, we completed the Gadget caches. Then it was off to finish the Albatross series, which we had worked on for weeks in preparation for our visit, as well as a few other targeted caches along the way.Thankfully, the weather was much kinder to us today, and to cap it all off, we found every cache we tried for. Please excuse the generic logs. The caches were all great and in excellent condition, especially considering the weather that Dunedin has been experiencing. All caches were signed as ACD, Australian Cachers in Dunedin, which included Isopeda, barb2e, Kittykatch, Joolay, Grimraider, Icybeetas and myself. After signing duties were completed, the caches were rehidden where found. All COs are to be congratulated on their contributions to our game. Thanks for the cache.

Visiting Dunedin to attend the Mega Event this weekend so in the meantime looking for caches. This cache was found in good condition. Thank you for placing and maintaining it for our enjoyment.

25-Oct-24
We came down to Dunedin for the great Mega event - which was really good ! - and had had several days either side , for caching up either side of the harbour and other caches around about . It was a shame that the High cliff road has been subject to the weather patterns and heavy rain and blocked the road . T he Weather either side of the mega was reasonable, but both the saturday and the sunday were rather wet . . sadly. there are so many caches all around this area so even after 5-6 days of caching there are still hundreds of caches to be found . With so many caches some get lost in a bit of a fog . We took nothing and left nothing here . Thank you for this cache .

25-Oct-24
#15,316. Flew into Dunedin today to attend the Mega event this weekend. I am geocaching with geobuddy Infoferret. After picking up the rental car we headed out out to grab as many as we could today while the weather was still warm and sunny. We ended up with a good haul of 47 caches. Now heading out to get some puzzle finals on the Peninsula and stopped to find this one. Although I knew where to go (having just checked the map), IF did the navigation and took us on a rather interesting circuitous path that eventually ended up just around the corner from where we were parked. The cache itself was found after a short search. Signed and replaced as found. Thanks Natalie247 for the cache.

Day 10 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc. We arrived in Dunedin yesterday and today we hired bikes to ride the Otago Vine including a ferry ride across the bay.We managed to collect a lot of the puzzles we had prepared for and I think we only had a couple of DNFs. It rained, the sun shone, the wind blew, it was calm - the whole gamut really. Thanks for contributing to the fun Natalie247

Day ten of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris. We have at last arrived in Dunedin. We spent today riding the Otago Vine clockwise, collecting caches as we came across them.Stopped at Port Chalmers for lunch then caught the ferry to Portobello.Mostly a nice day except for a bit of rain just out of Portobello (but we soon dried off).A quick puzzle, and a similar quick find. Thanks, Robmc.

Im visiting Dunedin for a few days. Muggle-hubby and I have travelled from Queensland to Christchurch and then down through Timaru and Oamaru to Dunedin where muggle-hubby is playing Basketball in the NZ Masters Games. Im here to watch his games, but I have my own game to play: 42 caches in 4 days. I have a list: Oldies, Challenges, high Favourite Points, Letterboxes and Whereigos. And then other caches that I come across if the time permits.Today, before muggle-hubbys basketball games, I convinced him to come for a scenic drive with me to tick a whole pile of Peninsular caches off my list. I found all of the caches I was looking for, thanks to the COs.I have a love-hate relationship with Jigidis. I love a physical jigsaw, and enjoy Jigidis unless theyre 564 pieces of black and whiteIve done one of thoseit wasnt fun. This one was fun, however, as was the well-themed container. Always a fan of the extra effort that goes into an interesting cache container, Ive dropped a Favourite Point here. Thanks, Natalie247, for the fun.

Out and about on day 9 of my South Island Tour and day 3 of "Wellingtonions Gone South: Dunedin Edition" with NZ_B, TwigNZ, Mr-Mcgoo, Itchyfeet2020 and matagouri. The target of this day was cleaning up some of the peninsula. All logs signed as MINT. TFTC

(# 8326) The Wellington crew are on another mission. Included are Itchyfeet2020, NZ_B, TwigNZ, Matagouri and TaybeeNZ. As usual quite a bit of hilarity. Day 3 was more centred on the Albatross series around the peninsula. Signed as MINT.Thanks Natalie247 for bringing me here.

20-Oct-23
A visit to Dunedin by Wellington geocachers NZ_B, Itchyfeet2020, TwigNZ, Mr-Mcgoo, Taybeen NZ, and myself. Signing as Team MINT, targeting old caches, Wherigos, and whatever else we can find. This puzzle had been pre-solved, so stopped nearby for a quick find. All good in the container. Tftc!

20-Oct-23
A group of friends have traveled together to Dunedin to collectively target a whole bunch of caches, primarily because of their value in terms of Jasmer Grid filling, or for certain Challenge Caches that we have elected to try to achieve.M.M.I.N.T.T are Mr-Mcgoo, matagouri, Itchyfeet2020, NZ_B, taybee nz and TwigNZ. Some logs were signed this way, some were signed as M.I.N.T for expediency, and some (mainly Challenge Caches) were signed with individual names.Day 3, and the main focus of our day would be hitting the Otago Peninsula where we hoped to find many of the Albatross Geoart series, especially the Challenge Caches.I got out of the car and wondered if I needed to go high or go low. I picked low, and that was the right choice as I was rewarded with a quick find. All was fine with this cache and contents, and we soon added the team name into the log before replacing it all as found.Thank you for setting up this series for all to find.

20-Oct-23
Day 3 of our Dunedin Invasion with six welly cachers. We have lots of plans and caches to find - probably to many - but with many of the very targeted oldies now done, day 3 can be a bit more play. Today is the peninsula. This was the only puzzle of the day I had not pre solved, so set about doing that straight away to ensure I could claim the find. Thought we were going to be prevented by a string trimmer work, but they were further along and a great find made today. All logs signed as MINT.

20-Oct-23
Love the illustration on the cache page.Day 3 of The Wellingtonians are in Dunedin tour with TwigNZ, Mr-Mcgoo, Itchyfeet2020 and matagouri, as well as TaybeeNZ who decided to have a few days of his South Island tour with us. We are targeting specific caches -oldies, wherigos (thanks to the Seagnoids new caches on the Wainuiomata Hill road in Lower Hutt), a certain jet and hopefully a certain bird. Of course, there will be days of laughter, no doubt at my expense During our time here, all found caches were signed as MINT, regardless of whether 2, 3 or all 5 of us hadn't found it previously, or with individual names for Challenge Caches according to whomever was claiming the find.Kia ora rawa atu for the cache Natalie247.

Ms_KR and I are heading to Invercargill for a tramping club 75th jubilee, so we left a bit early in hope that the weather would be fine, so we could get a bit of caching in. So far it has been good, fingers crossed for the rest of the time away.

Found on March 16, 2023

We are from Abilene, Texas, USA and have come to New Zealand to visit with a friend. We plan on going after different Cache Types while here. We will also find geocaches while going sight seeing. Today we are out with Bitsprayer and Drawp. Awarded a Fav Point.

Thank you, Natalie247 for placing this cache for all to find. We sign log sheets either as Love Cachers or LCers.

Driving over 50 miles to have...
Rusty barbed wire ripping through your clothes...
Curious rattlesnakes that come out of nowhere...
Itchy mosquito bites on every inch of your body...
A 40 mph wind gust blowing sand into your ears, nose and mouth...
Cactus needles getting stuck deep in your hands, arms and legs...
Thorny Mesquite trees scratching you up from head to toe...
Some or all of these things on a hike through 101° heat...
To sign your name or trade a toy...
SOUND LIKE FUN TO YOU?

It does to us, we're geocachers in West Texas! - {Taken from a Greater Abilene Association geocoin.}
