The next challenge was to get over here in peak hour traffic. I parked on some stripey lines and wandered over. Some Deja vu here, I think.Cache easily found and in fine condition. As I walked back to my car, I heard the terrible sound of a fender bender happening live. A bloke had driven into the back of a learner driver. Ouch. Hopefully not much harm done and I was glad I had parked a bit further along.TFTC where all is fine.

24/7/2024 Find #7101Wednesday wanderings out and about with cosmonaut97 today. And after time at the movies, we decided to grab a few nearby caches before our day was done. Of course a Pprime cache not yet found by me is a good draw card. Getting close to end of school time now, we managed to grab a parking spot near the school and take a bit of a walk. At GZ the cache was quickly found with good coordinates and a spot on hint. Thanks for the cache Pprime (P`).

Looking for a cache to collect, I note a second generation of Ban-Yobbos have been hatched. After dropping off some manual labor device which didn't work, headed down Sandgate Road and found a parking spot to collect a few random caches in this pocket. Once I got the right tree, this was a quick find. Thanks P' for breeding up another generation of Yobbos.

Having a new windscreen put in the geomobile I have 3 hours to kill, and this seems like a pretty good way to do it. This is number 1 for today, thanks for the cache but a new container or at least a lid would be good. I think a possum has been having a nibble

Out for about three hours this afternoon to sort out the majority of this series. I had previously found two, found eleven today, plus two misses (including the final). A short time ago talking to the CO he commented how the series is doable on pushbike, so I decided to tackle it on my scooter. So after lunch, I started near Guns and followed a counter-clockwise circuit of the icons. This may well be the most detailed tour I've done of any suburb that I've never lived in. And it felt rather homely to me, given my Logan background also. I choose to not resemble any yobbo remarks! What a lovely way to spend the afternoon; perfect weather and enjoying the calm of a chilled-out Saturday.

From The Game, there was a broad, lovely bike path to follow at decent speed towards this geocache. How lovely to just follow Google Maps, a kilometre or two between each geocache. Flipping down the stand at GZ, there was a family way off yonder utilising the field, but seemed to not even notice me. Perfect. After poking around a minute, I came up with the container. Sadly though, another critter has also found the container. But I signed my name at 13:40 and replaced as found. Onwards! Thanks for this geocache, Pprime (P`) Smile

06-Aug-23
Easy find, the cache is in need of some love though. Something has eaten through the container, the inside is wet.

As we had a 3 hours' time gap between the celebration of Grannysmith1947's 10th geocaching anniversary and our eldest son's 45th Birthday, we decided today to tackle caches in the Banyo/Virginia area.

We found this cache and signed the log. The lid is obviously damaged, but the previously wet logbook was dry.

There r a few places that match the hint; located after a brief search. I was ignored by the muggled on the oval, & a long time ago, when I 1st started caching, there was 1 on the nearby light pole... T4TC:-)

28-Jul-23
Seeing this was only a few hundred meters from somewhere I needed to be this afternoon, I just had to take the short detour to find it. All the junior muggles were still at school so there was no one about as I made my way along the path to GZ where I made a speedy find thanks to the excellent hint. The lid has been gnawed but the cache was still dry inside today. Thanks Pprime (P`)

Thanks Prime (P') for the cache.

I think there is some current challenge thing where you need a daily streak to get a souvenir. Maybe I am wrong. Have lots going on at the moment. Today, I actually managed to get away from work early enough to head to run an afternoon errand nearby. With time and daylight on my hands, I figured I would grab a cache and maybe collect some souvenir thingy (or not).

No muggles around, so this was a nice quick find to clean up another Yobbo. (Just when you think they are all done, there is another Yobbo around the corner) .

However, the log book was too wet to sign and bordering on mush. A close inspection of the container revealed the lid has been chewed by a local rodent, so there was little point in me traipsing back to the car to tear some dry paper out of the back of my current novel. My attached photo log will have to do.

Many thanks Pprime

Pete

Heading home after some caching in Nudgee, but there's still a couple more smileys to gather along the way. Great parking made for an easy wander to GZ and the cache was in the first spot I looked. No sleepy guardians to be seen today. Clue noted. TFTC, Prime.

27-Mar-23
TFTC - another successful find today - think my drought for caches is finally over!!
Now to go and try my luck for all the other unsuccessful finds lol

A quick trip into Ban-Yobbo territory to grab this new cache…

Finding convenient parking it was only a short walk to GZ where the cache was a quick spot…

It appears something has found the container to its taste… and it may need to be replaced…

After making my mark I returned the container with a little more camo…

No kids nor yobbos were harmed in this experience today… thanks Pprime (P`)

Had a pick-up on this side today, as I was almost driving past here I stopped for this new replacement in the jobbo series.
After I reached for the cache I noticed the sleepy guardian in the picture
Find number 29409 for me.
Thank you Pprime (P`) for hiding this geocache.

I was running a little early for my hospital appointment and saw there were a few new caches around the place. Needing a cache today to keep my personal challenge ticking along I drove over to this one. I parked up at the start of the walking path and headed off just a short distance. There were two items of interest and I obviously picked the wrong one at the start. I wondered over to the other and found the hide very easily.

I signed the log, retrieved the details and then returned the cache as found, with the extra camo on top. Thanks for the hide.

I heard a conversion last night that the Ban- Yobbo breeding season had been successful this year. Well with a Biosecurity background I make a point of trying to eliminate this noxious species before it gets a chance to spread. That said there is a small outbreak on the other side of a creek on the way to the dump that had avoided my extermination attempts to date. I think they are competing with the bin chickens for food.

Back to the kids. Despite what the cache notes indicate no a Ban-Yobbo kid was to be seen in either of the two sports fields, not a Ban Yobbo kid on any of the bikeways or climbing any of the trees. I suspect that there could be a Ban- Yobbo kid or kids in the nearby toilets either spraying graffiti, blowing up pans or basins or doing drugs. I dare not look. Cool
