Zigged our way down to zag, another very quick find here today as we venture around the park. Thanks for the placement and the smiley. Now it's time to head back and climb out of here.
I have been wanting to head back into the hills for some time - I just don't get enough tree time lately. It was supposed to rain. It didn't, however the cloud cover made for a very muggy day, and at some points I was sweating so much that I could not see where I going. I should have brought a headband. After a few hours the Otangane series to Pukenaenae was done, as was the hiking challenge and the platinum mine loop, and I headed back down.On the way back to the Black Bridge the cloud disipated and we were left with a glorious blue sky. I was still under trees and did not notice. Until I stepped on the the bridge to tackle these two caches.Man, it is hot! Has to be over 30 degrees. I stopped and pulled out a hat from my backpack. This is definately a case where more clothes is better!Get to gz and and found the cache. Which does not have any grown trees over it. Looking forward to getting back into the shade!
I was delighted when Etherlord invited me for a day walk up the Sledge Track. It was a beautiful day for it - sunshine, blue sky and just a pleasant light breeze. After heading up the Sledge Track and claiming the Hiking Challenge and the Tree Climb we headed back downhill, across the swing bridge, up past Checkpoint Charlie and on to Zig Zag road. A good hilly workout of 12km taking just over 5 hours. It was good to have the opportunity to claim this pair. No problems finding this one, it is neatly hidden. Thanks CharlotteandJordy for your placement.
I'm well overdue for some tree-time and @WonderfulWifey suggested (insisted!) that I go bush to fix this deficit. edvern joined me on my hike in the hills, as we headed towards GSEL's new "Hiking Challenge - Hard" cache. With that cache found, and then lunch enjoyed, it was onwards and upwards for some zigging and zagging.Having just zigged, it was now time to zag and edvern found this cache in super quick timeThank you for adding to an enjoyable outing
Checked on this one while walking the geohound today. All was well here, just a wee bit of condensation
Quick find today, thanks for the cache. A blustery winter's day so not much mountain biking happening.
Thanks CharlotteAndJordy for the 2 new caches at Arapuke.
Found while riding the trails.
This one was easier terrain than Zig! and no blackberry or gorse
Yay, {3TF} hope it gets more visits soon!

Woohoo- I zigged and zagged for a {FTF} whilst on camino training. All good here in a great location handy to Palmy city. Wonderful resource for local mountain bikers and walkers.
