TFTC found something that wasnt the cache but then found it near the thing
Were loving this Sonic series! A gorgeous sunny day, tons of wildlife, and some cleverly hidden caches that gave us a challenge. **Juzzmagic & Crustyvarmint** grateful for the effort, Sonic!
This series has been in my sights for a while now. Today I joined up with Team Juzzmagic for a cycle/scooter ride along the trail, and what a lovely trail it is.Being a public holiday, and with superb weather, there were quite a lot of people enjoying a walk, or ride, along the track. We tried to not look too suspicious in our activities, but a couple of geocachers spotted what we were up to, and a pleasant chat ensued. Most of the containers were reasonably easy to spot, but this sneaky CO threw in a few very tricky hides, one of which we did not find this time. Thanks for your work here Sonic. We had a wonderful day.
Lots of walkers using the path today. We were glad to see it wasnt too close to the track. Thank
Cache found pretty quickly. Unfortunately it was on the ground in the open probably due to all the wind. I have put it where it appears to have come from.
Thanks sonic_ for such an enjoyable series. All 16 found today without any trouble. I really liked the variety of placements and cache types, with some clever hides to keep you on your toes. I parked at Diamond Creek shops then made my way to the last bridge before quick footing it back before a storm passed through. Muggle factor was high today, but not too difficult to retrieve caches between cyclists and walkers. I replaced log sheets and ziplocks on about 4-5 soggy ones that were not signable.
Attended the sidetrack anniversary meet up at Diamond Creek so and while I was in the area I headed out with BackPAQer to grab a few nearby caches. We got out the scooters and did the trail. What a great day to be out and about caching, sun is shining and the temperature is perfect. Thanks for the cache and the hideLog book has been signed and returnedFind #2883
Lost my pen on the way so heres a photo a little walk from the main track. TFTC
Was greeted with the cutest group of mushrooms on this find, happy Winter! Name is on the back of log book, ran out of room!
Seeing as it is Easter and almost all schools have started their school holidays I thought now was an opportune time to travel from the south-eastern suburbs to the northern suburbs for some days of caching. Normally it is such a pain in the behind given the numerous choke-points along the route.Traffic flowed well and I arrived at the start of this half of the DCT trail in roughly fifty minutes. It had been some time since I had combined caching and walking for exercise purposes so although I'd like to complete this half of the trail today and potentially walk the other half tomorrow I wasn't sure whether I'd be up for all or even a part of it. As it happened, I did manage to complete this half of the trail today bar one cache that I wasn't willing to risk the chance of injury to get to GZ. I'll be back for it once I'm less gravitationally challenged. The format of these logs will take the form of a template blurb applying to the trail as a whole, then any relevant comments regarding the individual cache below, with the top blurb separated by a few dashes. Many thanks to the CO for going to the trouble of putting these out. I'd imagine there were two to three rides involved before all of them were in place.---An easy find to kick off proceedings. Thankfully both the CO and previous finders did not push it all the way to the way of the natural camo so an adult with an average height could easily reach the cache.
Found it but it had fallen down so I put it where I could guess it was meant to be
When EwanF suggested a bike ride this morning we jumped at the opportunity to complete the caches in the DCT Extension series. We started with a picnic at Wattle Glen, then rode to Hurstbrige, then all the way back to Edendale Farm. Such a good bike riding trail and a perfect day for a bike ride.First stop here after we had barely begun. We reached up for the hi five and made a quick find.TFTC sonic____. Cache and log are both in great condition.
Found it! Twas the day before New Year, with nightly celebrations planned, we wandered along the trail, to stretch our legs and breath the airAnd find something hidden over there! It is a good thing that I am tall enough to reach the cache. Certainly the strategically positioned branches helped. Luckily we didnt need the extra steps that were packed in the car! TFTC SL
It was a lovely sunny afternoon... perfect for a walk so I decided it was high time that, with a previous history of one *Smiley* and one *Frown*, I came and finish off this little series. Of course, being a pleasant Sunday afternoon, the path was alive with muggles on foot and on wheels... but not that alive that they impacted on my ability to find the caches. I have to report that this cache was nearly a bad start for the walk with another *Frown*... but there it was in the *last place I looked!* Yeah, I know that after finding it I didn't need to keep looking but what I mean is that I was about leave when I realised that there was one place I hadn't tried... and I looked, or I should say felt, and there it was! Thanks **sonic___** for the cache... and this little series.
Removed the pasta. Please dont put food in geocaches and dont forget to put the container back where you found it.
Decided to walk this trail to grab a few caches whilst I had the day off and in the Wattle Glen area. Luckily I’ll tall enough to stretch up and locate the cache. I did have to stand on a nearby log however. Log stamped and onto the next TFTC
The ladies went out and did some more of this trail today. All caches found in good order unless otherwise stated. Thanks for the cache.
It’s been a while since our last scooter ride, so Geoturtle37 and I decided to visit this area to turn a few dots into smileys.
Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, sonic___

Wow that was a bit of struggle for us shorties so we needed to improvise.
TFTC always feel like you have earned it after a challange.

This short arse could not see feel or smell this cache I tried from different angles but it evaded me. As I gave up I saw it ....TOTT fashioned, but it didn't work, so I hugged that tree and stretched.
A morning of geocaching in the winter sun with the littlies. I knew we had the right place but didn't lay eyes on the treasure too quickly, because it was nicely camouflaged. Without too long it was spotted and a cherry picker was rolled out to extract it with the help of some little hands. Cache log signed and everything put back. Thanks for the cache!
The family had a great time finding this one. Hubby had to pick our son up to reach it.
Stretch, I worked that bit out but the childproof lid had me flummoxed. Got there in the end, all signed and returned. Thanks for the cache to keep our streak going and filling the calendar day. Back fir more along the DCT another day
Nice little ride with the Geokids. We fed some lovely cows, did some headstands in the sun and found a variety of caches. I like that they were all different! Cheers.

*Cache find # 14639.*
I headed out today with biggles1024, we were after the virtual at Kangaroo Ground but our timing could not have been any better if we were going there for the ANZAC day ceremony, the thing was we were there for the virtual, so we headed over to do some of this series to fill in some time before heading back to Kangaroo Ground.
This was the first one and as we rounded the bend, we noticed a couple of people around the GZ area looking like they were searching for something, turns out they were looking for the same thing that we were heading too.
We said hello to ICW & Ninja Tortoise And continued to the end of the trail finding the others caches along the way with them.
**Thanks to sonic___ for placing this cache.**

**Find #5342**
**Traditional Find #3164**
Tuesday and its ANZAC Day. Steve and I headed for a T5.0 and a few other caches. The weather was perfect. Blue sky, sun and warmth and no wind.
We'd arrived at another location just as a service was about to start. We had expected the service to have been conducted just after dawn. We couldn't do what we wanted to do at that time, so came here to make a start on this series.
I met more geocachers along this trail than I ever have except for events. Everyone was enjoying themselves and the hides were in logical places.

Found with icw. I knew where the cache was, but lacked the necessary stature. Fortunately three taller cachers were there for whom retrieval was a piece of cake. Tftc.
Had the chance to get out and walk to finish some more along this trail. Had a time of it stretching but got there in the end.
Thanks for the fun sonic

We had given up looking and started heading back to the track when geokid turned to have one last look and spied the cache! He was too short to reach but I was able to reach. Cache in good condition. TFTC!
Introduced a friend to Geocaching this morning this was their first attempt and sadly they came up empty handed. Complete coincidence saw us on the same trail on a quest for our 500. Amazing hide which we gave them clues on so they could find it. They loved caching so much they came back later in the day to find this one. We ran into them walking back from completing the next 4. I had an early morning appointment and decided to travel onwards to address this new series of caches which have appeared. I am petite so had to get up to all sorts of skullduggery to get this cache. A few bruises later I had signed the log and replaced the cache. I am setting up a special torture room for tall COs.
Searched for a long time in the rain to no avail, I don't know about the cache but I'm very wet.

My husband and I decided to walk along this new section of the DCT this morning as there were recently published caches to be found by us. We encountered a few walkers and many cyclists along the path but none of them delayed us in our task of finding the caches.
This was our first find and I spent many minutes walking around in circles and nearly gave up, until my husband offer3ed to help me and spotted the cache immediately.
Thank you sonic_ for this cache and the continuation of the series.

First hunt and last find for the morning. When I arrived it was dark, and I missed it. It was much easier on the way back to the car, and in any case Bunadoorian and Grub62 had given me a tip when I met them along the track.
I’m not quite sure what the name refers to, because for the others I’ve found in this series, the name has been a clear signpost - “reedy pondside” is at a reedy pondside, “not another bridge” is at a bridge, “forked” is forked if you’ll excuse the language. Hi five? Anyway, I found it. Thanks sonic__ for the morning exercise.

I saw these 6 caches pop up late last night but I didn't like our chances of finding them in the dark. Grub62 and I were out and about early this morning and decided to give it a go. A nice find after remembering the hint a stretch it was for those of lesser stature like myself. After an online chat it seems we were not first. TFTC.
