What a day! **Juzzmagic & Crustyvarmint** found ourselves in the middle of a wild, beautiful landscape while hunting Sonics caches. A mix of easy finds and head-scratchers, just how we like it. Thanks, Sonic, for bringing us here!
This series has been in my sights for a while now. Today I joined up with Team Juzzmagic for a cycle/scooter ride along the trail, and what a lovely trail it is.Being a public holiday, and with superb weather, there were quite a lot of people enjoying a walk, or ride, along the track. We tried to not look too suspicious in our activities, but a couple of geocachers spotted what we were up to, and a pleasant chat ensued. Most of the containers were reasonably easy to spot, but this sneaky CO threw in a few very tricky hides, one of which we did not find this time. This one taxed our caching eyes, with Ron eventually spotting it.Thanks for your work here Sonic. We had a wonderful day.
Thanks sonic_ for such an enjoyable series. All 16 found today without any trouble. I really liked the variety of placements and cache types, with some clever hides to keep you on your toes. I parked at Diamond Creek shops then made my way to the last bridge before quick footing it back before a storm passed through. Muggle factor was high today, but not too difficult to retrieve caches between cyclists and walkers. I replaced log sheets and ziplocks on about 4-5 soggy ones that were not signable. Favourite point for the clever hide. Circled around GZ for a bit then approached this in a systematic way and soon had the cache in hand.
A very full and drizzly day, great for a walk without too many people around. This was well hidden and nearly missed it. TFTC
Parked the scooter against the tree and started looking elsewhere. Got there in the end.
Attended the sidetrack anniversary meet up at Diamond Creek so and while I was in the area I headed out with BackPAQer to grab a few nearby caches. We got out the scooters and did the trail. What a great day to be out and about caching, sun is shining and the temperature is perfect. Thanks for the cache and the hideLog book has been signed and returnedFind #2868
Took a bit to find whit a muggle watching us but managed to collect and grab and find
Seeing as it is Easter and almost all schools have started their school holidays I thought now was an opportune time to travel from the south-eastern suburbs to the northern suburbs for some days of caching. Normally it is such a pain in the behind given the numerous choke-points along the route.Traffic flowed well and I arrived at the start of this half of the DCT trail in roughly fifty minutes. It had been some time since I had combined caching and walking for exercise purposes so although I'd like to complete this half of the trail today and potentially walk the other half tomorrow I wasn't sure whether I'd be up for all or even a part of it. As it happened, I did manage to complete this half of the trail today bar one cache that I wasn't willing to risk the chance of injury to get to GZ. I'll be back for it once I'm less gravitationally challenged. The format of these logs will take the form of a template blurb applying to the trail as a whole, then any relevant comments regarding the individual cache below, with the top blurb separated by a few dashes. Many thanks to the CO for going to the trouble of putting these out. I'd imagine there were two to three rides involved before all of them were in place.---I was blessed by getting a glint off the container as I began my search. One of those that either resolves in a second or could take quite some time as a bit of a head scratcher. Glad it was the former rather than the latter.
When EwanF suggested a bike ride this morning we jumped at the opportunity to complete the caches in the DCT Extension series. We started with a picnic at Wattle Glen, then rode to Hurstbrige, then all the way back to Edendale Farm. Such a good bike riding trail and a perfect day for a bike ride.A very nicely hidden cache here. Spotted by my daughter while I was looking in the wrong place.TFTC sonic____. Cache and log are both in great condition.
Found it! Amazingly I walked up to the correct tree, noticed something out of place and found the cache before Muggle Heather had time to join the search! After signing the log and replacing the cache in its hiding place, it was time to continue with our New Year Eve Wander. TFTC SL
It was a lovely sunny afternoon... perfect for a walk so I decided it was high time that, with a previous history of one *Smiley* and one *Frown*, I came and finish off this little series. Of course, being a pleasant Sunday afternoon, the path was alive with muggles on foot and on wheels... but not that many muggles that they impacted on my ability to find the caches. It took me a little to find and log this cache... the tell-tail had been pushed in a bit too far and was almost invisible. Thanks **sonic___** for the cache... and this little series.
Decided to walk this trail to grab a few caches whilst I had the day off and in the Wattle Glen area. A sneaky hide here but I saw something that caught my eye in the little sunlight that was shining through. Gotcha Also I got to meet and feed a few friendly black cows that were in a paddock nearby the trail. Win win. TFTC
Sorry but I am only just catching up on my logging. We had a great day scootering this trail. Thanks for the cache which was found without any troubles.
The ladies went out and did some more of this trail today. All caches found in good order unless otherwise stated. Thanks for the cache.
It’s been a while since our last scooter ride, so Geoturtle37 and I decided to visit this area to turn a few dots into smileys.

Squelched around for a bit, avoiding truly horrible quantities of poo, then spotted the sneaky cache. TFTC!
Nice hide, holy crap there is a lot of poo around that area though!! Be careful where you step while looking! Tftc
Took us a few minutes… spotted something a bit out of place… bingo! A sneaky little hide.

I mostly managed to keep my feet dry today, but the wet grass here was next level. It didn't help that the cache was changing.
Nice little ride with the Geokids. We fed some lovely cows, did some headstands in the sun and found a variety of caches. I like that they were all different! Cheers.

I headed out today with biggles1024, we were after the virtual at Kangaroo Ground but our timing could not have been any better if we were going there for the ANZAC day ceremony, the thing was we were there for the virtual, so we headed over to do some of this series to fill in some time before heading back to Kangaroo Ground.
After meeting up with icw & Ninja Tortoise, we continued along the trail finding the other caches without any trouble, we also meet up with JC_93 along the way.

**Find #5345**
**Traditional Find #3167**
Tuesday and its ANZAC Day. Steve and I headed for a T5.0 and a few other caches. The weather was perfect. Blue sky, sun and warmth and no wind.
We'd arrived at another location just as a service was about to start. We had expected the service to have been conducted just after dawn. We couldn't do what we wanted to do at that time, so came here to make a start on this series.
I met more geocachers along this trail than I ever have except for events. Everyone was enjoying themselves and the hides were in logical places.

Found with icw. I was impressed to see and hear 10 Gang-gang cockatoos. They have a distinctive call sometimes described as a 'creaking door'. Tftc.
Back on bikes today with tagalong, daughter and grandson. Spotted something that proved to be what I wanted.
THanks for the fun sonic

My phone GPS was struggling with this one at first but then settled on correct location. Hint is 'not up' but also not down. Somewhere in-between is the sweet spot. Thanks Sonic___ for this fantastic series!
This one took us way longer than it should have. Coords are spot on and its rather obvious. Great tricky hide that one of the kids was standing on for a while. TFTC as we inched closer to our 500th
Wow, what a great hide. This was the hardest of the six to find for me. I searched and searched and used the hint and scratched around. As usual, I was just about to call it quits when I spotted something. Woo Hoo. Very tricky.
Very tricky sonic, found after seeing something out of place, it doesn't matter if I'm soaked as long as I'm finding and enjoying this series. Thanks sonic. A fave from me

My husband and I decided to walk along this new section of the DCT this morning as there were recently published caches to be found by us. We encountered a few walkers and many cyclists along the path but none of them delayed us in our task of finding the caches.
After missing the cache on my first search I wandered around, trying to avoid the little piles, and eventually noticed something unusual. The cache was located, log signed and then rehidden.
Thank you sonic_ for this cache and the continuation of the series.

After a fair search of GZ the cache was finally found. Extremely well hidden and not easy to find. I don't think this cache is likely to be muggled. Grub62 and I missed out on being 1st but we got there in the end. TFTC.
TFTC sonic___. Bunadoorian and I came here for our morning walk this morning hoping to pick up the remainder of the new caches. Bunadoorian soon had this well hidden cache in hand. Thank you for bringing us here.
I wonder what this area with the orchard looked like in its heyday. I remember on an earlier walk these trees were smothered in pears but I guess the wildlife got most of them. This was a very nice hide so I'm giving it a favourite. TFTC
FTF! - saw these 6 pop up in my email last night and threw the bike on the wagon, awoke early to get them on my way to work
Started at about 6am, then onto the rest and found the last one as the sun came up
A wonderful morning of caching
Spent a few minutes here looking aroung high and low, then viola, a sneaky little hide!
