Juzzmagic & Crustyvarmint** on the trail again, gathering up the Sonic series! Fantastic area for a stroll or a bike ridewildlife everywhere, and a few tricky caches to keep us on our toes. Thanks, Sonic, for the awesome adventure!

28-Sep-24
What a day! **Juzzmagic & Crustyvarmint** found ourselves in the middle of a wild, beautiful landscape while hunting Sonics caches. A mix of easy finds and head-scratchers, just how we like it. Thanks, Sonic, for bringing us here! no luck with this one though I'll be back

27-Sep-24
Enjoying a successful day of riding and caching with Team Juzzmagic, we arrived here full of confidence. After quite an intense search, we finally left despondently, with our tails tucked between our legs.I know it's here, but we were well and truly beaten today. Very sneaky Sonic!I'll be watching this, and plan on returning at a later date.

09-Sep-24
We came back again today to have another search and this time we found the correct cache. It was exactly as described and in the location indicated by the hint. Thanks for a bit more exercise.

08-Sep-24
We arrived at GZ just after another group and it was just as well they were there. I don't think we would have found it without their assistance. Having said that, I'm not sure we found the correct cache anyway as the one we found was well hidden under the bridge and was definitely not a camo'd mint tin as mentioned in the CO's latest note. I think we'll have to go back for another look. Thanks for a great walk.

05-Sep-24
This one was so sneaky!

25-Aug-24
Thanks sonic_ for such an enjoyable series. All 16 found today without any trouble. I really liked the variety of placements and cache types, with some clever hides to keep you on your toes. I parked at Diamond Creek shops then made my way to the last bridge before quick footing it back before a storm passed through. Muggle factor was high today, but not too difficult to retrieve caches between cyclists and walkers. I replaced log sheets and ziplocks on about 4-5 soggy ones that were not signable. Last one for the day. After seeing a few DNFs I thought this might take longer but found in a logical place.

20-Aug-24
Its still there. Camod mint tin.

10-Aug-24
Spent way too long and ended up under the bridge in frustration just in case

10-Aug-24
No luck today

26-Jul-24
Checked on this today. Its still there waiting to be found.

24-Jul-24
It took a long time to get to the location and we looked high and low and we couldnt find it. Little man was very disappointed

10-Jul-24
We could not find it. Searched high and low, up and down!

07-Jul-24
We looked everywhere (under, over and all around) but no luck. Our first time geocaching so we are excited for success next time.

27-Jun-24
Geo kid was arguing with me about east west guess who was right me so after they looked on wrong side I went to the right side looked straight away now for the long walk back to the car Thankyou

16-Jun-24
Couldn't spot it

22-Apr-24
The flood water has been right up to the cache recently but it withstood the flood well. Thanks sonic.

30-Mar-24
Seeing as it is Easter and almost all schools have started their school holidays I thought now was an opportune time to travel from the south-eastern suburbs to the northern suburbs for some days of caching. Normally it is such a pain in the behind given the numerous choke-points along the route.Traffic flowed well and I arrived at the start of this half of the DCT trail in roughly fifty minutes. It had been some time since I had combined caching and walking for exercise purposes so although I'd like to complete this half of the trail today and potentially walk the other half tomorrow I wasn't sure whether I'd be up for all or even a part of it. As it happened, I did manage to complete this half of the trail today bar one cache that I wasn't willing to risk the chance of injury to get to GZ. I'll be back for it once I'm less gravitationally challenged. The format of these logs will take the form of a template blurb applying to the trail as a whole, then any relevant comments regarding the individual cache below, with the top blurb separated by a few dashes. Many thanks to the CO for going to the trouble of putting these out. I'd imagine there were two to three rides involved before all of them were in place.---Once the altitude was appropriately adjusted the cache came quickly into view. Now for the walk back and the last couple of caches for the day.

25-Mar-24
Took me way too long haha tftc

08-Mar-24
Im unable to reach the old cache container. I have placed a new one. A black magnetic mint tin.

03-Mar-24
We spotted what we think is the cache, but it is unretrievable sadly

31-Dec-23
Found it! Last cache for our New Year Eve Wander and last cache for the year. Phew! I nearly gave up! After looking in all the wrong places, I decided to recalibrate our position and on checking one spot more thoroughly I found the cache! Yay! The Muggles were very pleased to walk back to the car and head for ice cream and then home for an evening of celebrations! Happy New Year! thanks for the fabulous trail of creatively hidden caches!

30-Dec-23
Looked for -10 mins. Flood debris up ro level of bridge walkway below. think it has gone: David

It was a lovely sunny afternoon... perfect for a walk so I decided it was high time that, with a previous history of one *Smiley* and one *Frown*, I came and finish off this little series. Of course, being a pleasant Sunday afternoon, the path was alive with muggles on foot and on wheels... but not that many muggles that they impacted on my ability to find the caches. The site of my *Frown* almost six months ago. Back then it was after a recent flood... the evidence of which can be still seen today... but today it was nice and dry... kneeling down was not a problem and the cache was soon located. Nice to change this one to a *Smiley* on the map! Thanks **sonic___** for the cache... and this little series.

Quick and easy to start my day off. Can see the geo tracks

07-Oct-23

09-Sep-23
Out doing some cache maintenance today. All is well.

05-Sep-23
Decided to walk this trail to grab a few caches whilst I had the day off and in the Wattle Glen area. Not another bridge cache, but this one didn’t require me to meet the trolls.

03-Sep-23
Thanks

20-Aug-23
Still here! TFTC

12-Aug-23

02-Aug-23
The ladies went out and did some more of this trail today. All caches found in good order unless otherwise stated. Thanks for the cache.

02-Aug-23
It’s been a while since our last scooter ride, so Geoturtle37 and I decided to visit this area to turn a few dots into smileys.

Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, sonic___

30-Jul-23
Quickish find by kirstenfleur, lovely day for it. Tftc!

30-Jul-23
An easy fi d, on a sunny, windy winter's day. TFTC!

30-Jul-23
Easy, as we could spot it underneath from the other side.
It looks like it may have been protected from the recent flood waters.
It’s left a hell of a mess. Very Large debris left high up under the bridge!
TFTC

16-Jul-23
Found it. Easy one.

02-Jul-23
Second time around we found it!

26-Jun-23
Found it!

24-Jun-23
Think it might have gotten washed away

14-Jun-23
Not suitably dressed... nor in the mood... for scrabbling around in the mud and the flood debris... another day perhaps.

10-Jun-23
Not sure if flooding has washed it away, debris everywhere.......it would have to be well secured to stay

04-Jun-23
JD found it eventually :-)

04-Jun-23
Found it a little harder than the others. 2? Thanks for the challenge

04-Jun-23
Last cache of the series! Wah! That was fun! I hope you keep going and put more on the hurtsbridge side.

29-Apr-23
Nice little ride with the Geokids. We fed some lovely cows, did some headstands in the sun and found a variety of caches. I like that they were all different! Cheers.

25-Apr-23
*Found on the 25 Apr 2023 @ 11:51 am.*
*Cache find # 14644.*

I headed out today with biggles1024, we were after the virtual at Kangaroo Ground but our timing could not have been any better if we were going there for the ANZAC day ceremony, the thing was we were there for the virtual, so we headed over to do some of this series to fill in some time before heading back to Kangaroo Ground.
After meeting up with icw & Ninja Tortoise, we continued along the trail finding the other caches without any trouble, we also meet up with JC_93 along the way.

**Thanks to sonic___ for placing this cache.**

**Find #5347**
**Traditional Find #3169**

Tuesday and its ANZAC Day. Steve and I headed for a T5.0 and a few other caches. The weather was perfect. Blue sky, sun and warmth and no wind.
We'd arrived at another location just as a service was about to start. We had expected the service to have been conducted just after dawn. We couldn't do what we wanted to do at that time, so came here to make a start on this series.
I met more geocachers along this trail than I ever have except for events. Everyone was enjoying themselves and the hides were in logical places.

**Thank-you to sonic___ for placing this geocache**

25-Apr-23
Found with its inc Ninja

25-Apr-23
Found with icw. I'd not been along this northern section of the bicycle/walking track before. Today was busy with cyclists, runners and walkers, sort of sharing the path. I was sad to see several helmetless children riding their bicycles.

23-Apr-23
Shattered we couldn’t locate this one as it was the last one feat Teddy but is what it is. Will have to come back and have another look when we only have one pup to keep an eye on

20-Apr-23
Back on bikes today with tagalong, daughter and grandson. Certainly a lot of bridges along this trail. Thankfully the water hadn't washed it away too.
THanks for the fun sonic

17-Apr-23
This was tricky, plus my phone GPS couldn't make up it's mind. Cache was out of sight. Fortunately there wasn't any need to be a mountain goat to find it but I'm glad I wasn't wearing my good pants or the knees might have gotten dirty. Thanks Sonic___ for placing and maintaining this wonderful series!

17-Apr-23
Found with PeprExplores

02-Apr-23
Dragged ourselves to this one minus our 8y.o who decided to to stay with the cows. Quick easy hide and 499 in our quest to 500. This was a brilliant easy trail that we enjoyed in the early April sunshine. TFTC and for helping suck our friends into caching with fantastic hides. Was an enjoyable day thank you.

24-Mar-23
This bridge needs a good clean after the floods. I got filthy trying to find this cache. Bah. Once again I just was not thorough enough, so it took a while, but I got there in the end. Great series to do early on a cool Melbourne morning.

23-Mar-23
I probably didn't put enough time in seeking this one, anyway I really enjoyed this series in what is a great area it was good to be out. Thank you sonic for your time and effort in creating this series. And now for the walk to Hurstbridge station a bus and two trains to Thomastown and home.A great day out.

22-Mar-23
My husband and I decided to walk along this new section of the DCT this morning as there were recently published caches to be found by us. We encountered a few walkers and many cyclists along the path but none of them delayed us in our task of finding the caches.
We looked in some of the obvious places but then had to PAF to get a hint. It is amazing how high the creek must have been during the previous flood.
Thank you sonic_ for this cache and the continuation of the series.

20-Mar-23
Not a fan of bridges

20-Mar-23
Well concealed Good hide

18-Mar-23
Hmm yes, sometimes we can make things harder than need be - all about perspective ??

17-Mar-23
It took me a while to find this cache. Way too long. After finding it I thought that this should have been found a lot quicker. TFTC.

17-Mar-23
TFTC sonic__. We were amazed to see how far up the water came in the recent floods. After a good search we read the hint and realised which side we should be on. Bunadoorian soon had the cache in hand.

15-Mar-23
Joint FTF in the sense that I was there, but I can’t claim to have contributed to the finding. With the day dawning, A_ROG3RS completed his FTF double hat trick, while I poked around unseeingly in the right spots before wandering off to check the wrong ones. But with the finding done, then I got to ride the last bit to Hurstbridge. The word that came to mind was ‘bucolic’, and when I looked it up it wasn’t a bad choice. Thanks sonic for prompting me to improve my vocab.

15-Mar-23
There's ALWAYS another bridge cache. Where would we be without them. Had to time my hunt carefully as the council was doing some maintenance work nearby. Nicely hidden. TFTC

15-Mar-23
Joint FTF with New Bruce! - saw these 6 pop up in my email last night and threw the bike on the wagon, awoke early to get them on my way to work
Started at about 6am, then onto the rest and found the last one as the sun came up
A wonderful morning of caching

This one took us a little while, searched and searched, then retraced our steps and it was where we had looked a number of times already, just out of sight!
