Today we further explored our back yard finding caches along the way, and this was one of them while doing the HPT trail. We concentrated on finding the caches that have been published since our last visit. After reading the hint, Mr "T" finally made the find.We found a variety of hides with varying degrees of difficulty. Many thanks Budgietas for your cache placement.

On the last day of my 3-Day Geocaching Adventure taking in Devonport / Launceston and The Great Lakes [East Side] today, i was excited to go to a place i've never been and there's some Golden Oldie hides along this road so i was most eager to get going. The weather was to be mostly fine so i set off about 08:00 on my way back to Hobart I can't believe it took me about 10 minutes for the penny to drop, even though the hint said exactly which direction to head, slightly from the stump, i still, somehow can't work out the difference between a car park and a road ha ha Big Grin... what a doofus!!!Once the obvious was realized it was cache in hand real quick.Signed the log at 09:45 on Friday 12 April 2024.The cache and contents are in A1 condition.TFTC Budgietas Smile

After finishing our committments in Launceston we decided to head to the highlands to replace a GA cache then look for some unfound caches on this side of the lake. We hadn't been into Cramp Bay before and enjoyed our visit. As Mrs Y'stassie headed towards the hide she met a local couple walking 2 puffballs. They were interested in what we were doing and delighted their little spot was on the world caching map. While she was chatting Mrs y'stassie spotted a possible hide - not what she had originally envisaged. After the muggles moved on she moved the cover and there was the cache. All was in good order. Thanks for this cache Budgietas and for bringing us to this delightful little spot. According to our muggles there are at least 6 permanent residents in Cramp Bay.

Looked for ages. It was pretty windy. I had poor connection and GZ kept moving. It often took me back to where I think the cache is located but there is no flat rock and only a disintegrating ziplock bag.

GPS was taking us 6m from the cache but we eventually put the GPS away and used our geo sense and found it straight away. TFTC

We had a couple of nights with the family at Bronte Park to attend an orienteering event nearby. Today we decided to venture to many areas that we haven’t been to before, we love where geocaching can take you, so today was full of surprises.

Wow, we started looking around one area, our GZ, with no luck! Then we read the hint which didn’t help mostly due to the sun which impaired our vision. Getting desperate, we widened our search and spotted what the hint referred to.

TFTC. Cache and contents in excellent condition. I have been here before. Today it was quite wet and cool so was glad to get a quick find thanks to the hint. I’d hate to have to search for this one with a foot of snow on the ground.

I have been here previously a long time ago but I reckon I was caching then.
Today was an unplanned trip to Launceston and I decided the roadworks was too much to handle on the return so I detoured via Cressy and Poatina then Cramps Bay.
Cache was found fairly quickly but I think I stayed in one place too long.
Discovered the trackable and kept an eye out for locals.
By the time I reached Melton Mowbray, I had an itchy leg - had a scratch and found a huge lump in my trouser leg and a strange sensation of something running down my leg. After a quick stop at the highway junction, I managed to extract the HUGE leech! Was as big as my thumb - Gosh he was fat! Put on a band-aid but later had to replace it with a pad and bandage.
Thanks for the cache, Budgie!

SSR and I were still heading north but should have really been on our way south by now at 4.30pm. Trouble will brewing back home! [B)]
I don't think I've been down to Cramp Bay before but certainly enjoyed the views here although the sun was in the wrong place for good photos.
Parking opposite a shack we spotted an occupant watching out so we did the usual pointing, taking photos etc as we wandered around. We got to the large hint then I spotted where GZ would be. Another quick find.
Thanks for hiding a cache here or I never would have visited this great little bay.

While the view of the bay was good we were watched like hawks by one of the locals so we took to taking many pictures until we got a chance to search for the cache, goose was on form today so we soon had our names in the log in no time.

After parkrun I drove to our normal coffee shop and met Goose before we headed North again to explore the highlands again, this week we went to Oatlands then turning Northwest towards Interlaken, we called a few places I had never been to before like Wilburville, Flintstone etc, in the end we made a loop of it and headed to Poatina with a small side quest to Cressy before hitting the highway around Powranna and then heading South again.
Another big day starting at 10and not getting home till 10pm, I found 18 caches and the 4WD covered 524kms.

Thanks for the cache.

Found on 25/03/2023 thanks to Budgietas for placing this cache for me to find.

Thanks for the cache Budgietas.
Heading north via the scenic route with the two GeoGSP's today. The weather played nice so I was keen to grab a few caches along the way. Happy to see my trusty 2wd was more than adequate to drive along to this cache. Lovely spot and I stopped to take a few photos before searching for the cache. I did refer to the hint and soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks for bringing us here and helping us discover another beautiful corner of Tasmania.
