Logs
Issued ants with an eviction notice, but the spray was more effective. Cache and hide are now ant free.
11:57Day three of our stay in the Macedon Ranges area and a trip to Bendigo to visit geocaching friends from another era, also to run a maintenance check on a few of our own caches as well as find caches such as this one.Not a maintenance stop but a slight delay to find this one. We had to rush to race the ants today, as they have set up camp in the cache. Clever placement that gets a FP from us.Our thanks to 'BrianandGreg' for adding this cache to the geo-gameboard.38174*This log composed and published using Geocaching Swiss Army Knife (GSAK).*
The City has now filled in the holes that were creating a trip hazard at GZ. Cache is now good to go again.
Unfortunately, we have made the decision to disable this popular cache. A 30cm hole has opened up and is now about 50cm deep right next to the mine foundation and cache. It is likely a seeker of our cache could easily step into this hole and really hurt themselves. The earth has also started to fall away inside the hole. The surface at ground level covering the cavity is at risk of collapsing and creating a bigger hole. Once the long grass grows over this hole you would be hard pressed to see it. We have emailed the City to take corrective action. Part of this action may require access to this area to be blocked for a time. We can only monitor this situation going forward.
Removed the spider that decided to call this cache home. Once evicted checked contents and everything was good. Watch for a small hole that has opened near our cache. It is a trip hazard.
Quick stop here as hubby was keen to see the new Foodshare building. Glad I had my eyes open on the approach as some soil has subsided leaving quite an ankle breaker hole. After side stepping that I soon had the logbook in hand and was back in the car. Glad I knew this cache was here waiting for me. Thanks guys!
#38 great little hide, decided to try to find it on dusk as we knew the new foodshare could mean lots of muggles nearby however there were still a stack of muggles around and cars illuminating our location. Thankfully we found it quickly, signed the logbook then stayed hidden until the coast was clear. TFTC
A nice quick find. I'm definitely coming back to Bendigo to findore. It's been super fun
Checked on this cache today. All good. Wish I was quick enough to take a photo of the steam train that went by.
Cache # 815 - Ann and Ja popped in here today, and were delighted to see the new Foodshare operation across the road - fancy! A quick find by Ann and we were off again TFTC
Out and about with omegaman and ski pair around the Bendigo and Echuca area, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today.Logs signed as RASPOMThanks BrianandGreg for the cache.
We have set off on our annual winter escape but with no real plans other than a set of ideas. Our first stop is Bendigo, a place we haven't visited for any length of time in the past. There appears to be much to see and a good variety of caches to keep us entertained. We met up with our caching buddies Rebel Acts and Omegaman for a few days as well which added to the laughs and fun.Caches logged as RASPOM or SKI Pair if they had already found them. This is one of the caches we have found to date.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache BrianandGreg.**SKI Pair****
I am hitting the road again with my Rebel Acts and Ski pair to have some fun and explore new places. While I don't mind caching locally, there is nothing like a road trip for a few days putting smiles on the map. I had a great time with lots of laughter and caching fun. Today's logs are signed as RASPOM."
Found with Grubbs1337 and ITWimdy. ??A great day out with Dad and his mate. Thanks for the cache ??
Lucky to get a park near GZ as there was a gathering of hot rods and old cars near GZ. Saw them later so I guess they were gathering for some sort of car rally.A quick find here of a well constructed hide that deserves another favourite point. Thanks BrianandGreg.
Finally made it back to Bendigo to sign the log on this one. Much easier to extract now TNLN. TFTC
Bit disappointed. Quick find, I like the hide but perhaps due to the heat ot os well and truly wedged in place. I tried for awhile but it wasn't budging for me today
A nice easy park and grabA clever hideSigned and replaced where found. Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoymentTFTC
A clever cache here, my pen struggled to write in the log so I had to scratch it in. TFTC!
Checked on our cache today. Happy to report all good. See the new Foodshare is about to start construction across the street. I wonder if this will be concern for our lil cache.
Up in Bendigo visiting the Family and today while we were out and about we stopped to locate a couple of caches, this being one of them. Once at GZ Mrs Pooky spotted the ideal spot and further investigation revealed the cache. TF placing this cleverly hidden cache for us to find on our travels.
Super clever! I stared right at it and walked away while Mr H stood there shaking his head laughing at me!
Very cool little cache. Took me a good couple of minutes to work it out, but all was good and the log was soon signed. Thanks for the fun....fav point added.
Checked on this cache and hide. All functioning well along with a freshly mowed GZ.
Brian and I did a cache run today and checked on this cache. Happy to report all is good.
2nds times the charm, second try brings home the bacon. Nice work gentleman , thank you
Find #3016 for me. Found at 1:55 pm with my dog Bonnie. We hadn't found a cache since March so this one was well overdue and definitely worth the visit. I've learnt 3 things about Brian & Greg's caches - firstly they're always clever; secondly, they're always a great fit for their location, and thirdly they're always very well maintained. This one was no exception. Like micaparamedic before me, I found the cache straight away but spent a lot more time trying to extract it. That said, I'm wondering whether I was just using the wrong method. Very likely. Either way, this was a great hide worthy of a favorite point. Thanks for the fun and the cache Brian & Greg!
In Golden Square today and decided to have a quick look for this one. A very quick find but took a while to extract the cache, a little swelling jammed the container making for a difficult extraction.
Thanks BrianandGreg for this well thought out cache, a FP for this one.

Back in Bendigo for a weekend of caching fun. This one did cause us a minor delay just as darkness closed in. SL on this clever hide at 5.22pm #10004 Fav. Pt. Awarded TFTC BrianandGreg
Im out on a boring shopping expedition this morning so decided to finish it off with a quick diversion to a local cache. Its great to have a few local ones to pick up again. Before my little break i was in the unenviable position of a local drought, the only caches on my map were ones which i had hunted but couldnt find. When i recently looked at my map again there was a sprinkling of new adventures which have been added recently, so a big thanks to all the hiders. Brian and Greg, this is a little ripper, a cool hide and just what i needed to recover my mood. Thanks for the fun.
Quicker to find than extract this one, while out with LittleBoss2. Clever hide, thanks BrianandGreg
Bendigo is again becoming a centre of caching excellence and creativity.

This was one of them.
A vline train flew past during the caching of this cache.

Suscoe was out and about in the Bendigo area today.
It was a delightful day, cool but sunny and it turned out to be mild by the afternoon.
We saw a terrific range of caches and countryside today.
Thanks to BrianandGreg for this hide, a nice bit of work and a favourite from us.

Not being as nimble as I once was......... I was a wee bit concerned about this one!
As you say, an area often driven through without even noticing!!
Many thanks for a clever hide

Today's goal is to achieve 6000 finds. After an early start to drop the caravan and the car for a service we headed.
Now journeying at a more leisurely pace, we continue on towards 7000.
Well we had a minor delay here as we couldn't quite retrieve the cache, but luckily we had a TOTT to help. A lovely hide deserving of a favourite point.

Easter Saturday and a trip to Bendigo for an eye appointment for Mr Tyred n Cranky.
While we were in Bendigo we found some caches. done an Adventure Lab plus a stage of one and also done three virtuals.
We done some shopping and got what we wanted. We looked around the Easter festival in Rosalind Park and walked around the streets looking at what else was about. A very busy place Bendigo was today.
Heading out to Kangaroo Flat we had three more caches to find at Golden Square, This was one them and also our last find for the day.
As we rounded the corner to get this one what a sight we seen. Didn't think to get the camera out. Well that was no dog the lady was walking on a lead. It was a big sheep she was taking for a walk letting it eat the grass on the corner of the nature strip.
Now for the cache just up ahead. It was a quick find by Mr Tyred n Cranky and he was very impressed with the way it was hidden that he said it deserved a favourite point.
