We started our beautiful journey through the South Island in Christchurch. Here we went on a big sightseeing tour and visited lots of caches. We then travelled via Lake Tapeko, Dansey Pass and Moeraki to Dunedin for the MEGA event. In Dunedin we visited the MEGA events and together with many other cachers we found many caches around Dunedin. A few days later, we travelled on through the Catlins to the southernmost part of Bluff. We then visited Te Anau and the tourist town of Queenstown. In Wanaka we went on another sightseeing tour until we reached the west coast via the Haast Pass. We hiked to Fox Glacier and Franz Josef Glacier. We continued along the west coast up to Westport, stopping at various sights along the way. Richmond and Nelson, the sunniest cities, were also on our list.A few days later we reached the east coast again in the wine region of Picton and Blenheim. After a few days, we travelled back to Christchurch via Kaikoura. We visited many geological sites, completed many adventure cahes and found many caches along the way.We travelled almost 3500 km and had so many great experiences. Many thanks to all the ownersTeam sissifalke
I was stopped in Kurow waiting for Tufty to catch me up before we headed to our overnight camping destination. I took advantage of the few minutes wait to walk to this cache as it was only 75m or so from where I had parked the caravan. Nice straight forward find. TFTC hill55
Out for a lovely whole day adventure. The weather was kind of coldish and kind of warmish, depending on the wind at a given time. Lots of fun, TFTC!!
Before I started this trip my target was to do 3 bike trails. 1st one was Pleasant point to Timaru 2nd one was at Lumsden and this was the 3rd one. Must be getting bike fit now as didn't struggle but this trail was more enjoyable than the others as was proper mountain biking. Had to wear gloves as very cold this morning

Day 3 - and 2nd leg of my A2O bike ride. Being a big ish 80km day a bit of planning has to be done. Caching is not usually on the agenda as I am normally a bit paranoid of running out of battery.I stopped about 3km short of the dam where hubby was parked up and put on the charger for just over an hour This next leg thru to Kurow I have a blustery tail wind so planning on stopping for a few caches along the way more as I get closer. After getting to the caravan - we wandered into town - and I had a look at the start of tomorrows trail - and grabbed this so saves me in the morning.TFTC
We had a 10 minute break in town while touring the area, so I jogged down to the trail and found this nicely placed cached. Mrs. TiE had our pen, so Ive added a photo of me and the cache. Thanks for the fun hide!
Did the ad lab nearby & saw there was a cache nearby so ran down & grabbed it.
Tftc, maybe it has been moved as there has been a bit of tree removal in the vicinity, still found it
Ohne Autopanne htten wir diese Dose nicht geloggt. Whrend der Pneu geflickt wird, habe ich mich auf die Suche gemacht. Hier ist ein schner Radweg erstellt worden.Merci
Heading to Twizel with AlpiSteve for New Years. Quick stop here, a short walk and soon had cache in hand TFTC
Thanks for hiding this cache hill55 I appreciate it. It's the weekend before Christmas So JDScout and I are spending three nights in Kuroew We drove down to Kurow today .I had a pre dinner bikeride and found a few without JDScout.
Day 7: Up the WaitakiThe next bit of our journey brings us up the Waitaki on another fine but sometimes blustery day. We started the morning off wandering around Oamaru, and then drove up to visit the reservoirs and towns along the Waitaki. This proved to be yet another productive day of exploring and caching, so thanks for all the fun caches in lovely locations along the way. (End of the cut and paste bit) Heres the specific log for this cache: Since we were already in town for the AL, itd be a shame if I didnt find a couple of physicals to add to the list. This was a short stroll down from the AL WP and found very quickly thanks to the hint and the cover. TFTC!
After dinner in a pub, had a brief walk to find this one. Typical NZ hide - thanks!
Thought I had cleaned out Kurow recently so nice to see some more as I whizz through.
With Karma Reprint {Ftf} 1215. Sometimes it pays to stop for lunch and check data. Thanks hill55
Wahoo, a nice quick {FTF} with Ms_KR. We spotted new caches near Kurow over lunch. I twitched slightly, "lets go" but thought, nah, lets have lunch. And we did and were still FTF. What's the odds new caches in Kurow, when we are there too. Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I are on a wee cruise around Otago, starting in The North then heading to Central. Today's weather was very good for caching after lunch. It was a bit drizzly in the morning.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. .
