Found it, got scratched by its guardians, but nothing that a bit of Tea Tree oil and bad language couldn't put right. TNLNSL T4TH
i was in the area so decided to drop by this cache, the blackberries have grown really well i was glad to be wearing jeans but my poor arms suffered, other than that a good hide and location.

Hit the nearest button and this one came up as I was only expecting to visit one cache while in this area. I missed the blackberry on the way in but they got me on the way out. Nice pleasant walk back to the car. The son wasn't so lucky he got on the way in and out.

Came cross country from Rifle Range. Great views down the gorge from the top of the scarp this way, but the track is steep and not for the faint hearted. We could hear water cascading down the gorge, strange we thought, hadn't had much rain lately. When we got down to the creek we found the Water Corp had opened the valve on the dam (apparently to clean out the water courses)and the creek was an absolute raging torrent about a metre or more deep. Where we had come down we were still 25+ metres from GZ and the scrub was pretty dense, so we decided to leave this cache for another day and come in from the "correct" direction. I hope the cache is above the tide line!
What a mixed day of caching ! Well it was the only day and the only cache but I had mixed fortunes - a pretty typcial Bibra Boys days really.
Arrived at GZ and the GPSr pointed at the lone Grass Tree...I must have been feeling lazy today because I gave up after about 1 min and tried to phone friends for a clue...but reception was nil....so back to looking. After more circum-navigationsi than Christopher Columbus..and much convincing it HAD to be there...I found it.
Signed logged, took TB left card etc etc.
Didnt take the same way out and came to the creek with no rocks. Already battered and bruised from that damn blackberry bush I said "f-it" and walked in the creek in my nice sandals...meanwhile geodog stirs the mud and gets wet and horrible.
Get back to the firebreak - no camera!
Went back the way I came to the grass tree, back again..then around the first way I went etc....copping blow after blow of every sharp piece of plant matter there was(yes Im suitably dressed in shorts and sandals).
I had to be somewhere (and was now late) so decided I had to come back tomorrow and look (how would I explain this to the wife - she will flip! Im not supposed to be out caching!)
I started back on my 800m walk to the highway...pondering along the way who I could rope in to help and wondering what it would take to keep the kids quiet if I enlisted their help.
Half way back......there was the camera in the middle of the track!
Now Im not a religious man....but a kiss of the camera and a look to the heavens with a quiet thank you and all was well with the world.
Thanks for another adventure at my stupid expense.
PS: On the way home, Mr wet, muddy and smelly geodog decided to sit on my lap and lean on my lovely white shirt.
(sigh......)

Found the cache, enjoyed walk along to the cache as well creek. T:N L:TB Nut SL Thanks for the hunt.
Sun setting, last for the day. Easy walk except a creek crossing where the stepping stones were an inch under the water. Managed to move them sufficiently to negotiate the crossing without getting socks wet, also largely thanks to 2 sturdy sticks I found nearby to use as balance supports. Found cache easily, coords good. TFTH T Budgie TB Ln SL
Btw, I left the 2 sticks are hanging on a tree this side of the creek, handy if someone needs them, if they don't go walkies.

Found whilst enjoying a GPS bushwalk (see http://www.walkgps.com/bushwalks.htm). Fantastic place for a day out. Most spectacular scenery. Thanks for the great hunt.

Our second find for the day @ 3:30 PM. Very pleasant walk in along the high road. Found a creek crossing east of the cache location where we where able to cross without getting wet. From there a short 20 metre excursion through the bush brought us to a nice clearing and the cache. No blackberries to content with on this route. Took a spoon for the spoon cache and left a Motorola D560-Jazz leather phone case. Cache is in good condition. Thanks Ian and Sue for the hunt.
My second find for the afternoon. Managed to get just a little wet crossing the creek and tripped not once but twice when crossing the old fence line near the cache! Took a little racing car and left a Nokia phone case. Thanks for the hunt.
Took the young Treasure Trovers, Ashleigh and Josh with me on this one and they thought It was great. It was a bit nerve racking trying to carry a 5 year old over the stepping stones, and the mud. as she had to wear her good white shoes didn't she... But we found the Cache and got out of there without any wet feet.
Took. Stress Ball & Teddy bear.

The elusive Fun 01 have visted your cache on the 16/04/2005. They took the Bear Left pen and left a stress ball.
We are the next today. Was a pleasant walk and a siimple find compared to the other we did in the area. Was a very pleasant day except for getting caught in a blackberry vine on the way out.
We can't remember taking anything and we didn't write down whether we left anything.
Thanks for a good part of our day.

Found with Dekra while walking back to the car after a day rock climbing further up the valley. Took a bit of bush bashing to get to the location and I got my boot wet in the stream (it had dried before we got to the cache 50m away). We quickly signed the log book and made our escape before we were eaten alive.

Since we (Scytale, friends and I) were rock-climbing in the vicinity, this cache was a "must", so we went for it, but from the opposite direction. We had to make our way through the bush and found ourselves covered with some little bugs. That of course wouldn't deter us from logging the find, but we did do it rather quickly...

True to the cachename, this was one attempted by Papa Bear as Mama Bear carried on back to the car and some coveted iced peach tea and airconditioning!
I missed the obvious track turn-off, so I got to pole-vault the creek instead of using the stepping stones I found on the way back. Luckily, there were only a few options within an EPE, and I picked the right one first off.
Took away the batteries before they corroded completely away, and left a Bear_Left pen.
Thanks for the detour!

Geokid loves cache hunting as well as navigates the way to GZ. He was excited when he found the cache. It was very nice wintry walk with lovely green velvet grass by the sides along the tack. Lots of people walked with their dogs in the beautiful day. Thanks for great walk and location, Team Pathfinder.
Last cache of the day and probably one of our favorites since being in Oz. Loads on fun crossing the creek, climbing trees and chasing the sunset !

What a great spot. We were running out of time but enjoyed the walk thoroughly. Will head back there with the mountain bikes soon.
The berry bushes have left me with a few reminders of our jaunt through the bush today. Sharp little blighters(sp?) they are.

Perfect day for a walk. The brook was flowing, but my feet stayed dry.
Came across a very rare native flower too TNLN

Sixth cache for the day and fourth find (told you we were on a roll). We enjoyed this walk but will be back to try the walk through to the dam sounds interesting. Nearly a mishap at the crossing but a quick reflex and Mrs TLC was saved from a swim in da crick. This would be interesting mid winter

This was a bit tough if you don't want to get your feet wet, I made it but my partner didn't, she got soggy shoes. Dropped off Little George the travel bug. It's not Switzerland but it's closer to our 'mountains'.
Found it with no probs. Coords were spot on. The weather was perfect for a walk and the creek gently flowing. The blackberries are growing well and might be a problem in the future when crossing the creek. TNLN. Thanks.
Found cache... no problems, the co-ords were spot on! The scrub is thick and everything is really dry - not much water flowing. Took "Elmo" - left pewter placecard holder and card. 15:00
Unfortuntely did not manage to check this cache on this visit - we are thinking that because of its location it should be OK until next time!!
Please let us know if your visit shows that it is in need of maintainence.
Thanks

Great spot. Like some of the others before me, I took the option of walking through the valley to Wungong Dam. On a beautiful spring day this is a truly magnificent walk. I can thoroughly recommend this option - although the return walk may be a bit long for geo kiddies. Thanks

This is a fantastic spot! Very difficult to tell that it is not private property when you are passing on the road.
Being winter, there was lots of water in the small creeks, as well as in the main one. So much so, it made for an interesting water crossing to reach the cache ... the stepping stones were under water!
Took the option of walking up the valley to Wungong Dam, and another finding another cache that was there. Excellent walk. Pretty tired by the time we got back, though.
Took nothing, left a teddy bear.

The third for today parked out on the main road and walked in, this area must have been used as a quarry or something years ago as there were lots of piles of rocks around.
If you walk up to the spot to turn to cross the stream at and then look back up the hill you will see a track leading right up this hill, stepped over the rocks to the other side and followed GPS to the spot, this one is not too hard to find.
When I walked back out I stepped over the stream and almost up to the track but I then turned left and walked through the bush for a while before coming to another track which follows the stream along, I used this track to walk back to the car.
This walk is very nice and I would recommend coming out this way, I saw a lot of birds and even some butterflies; this must be one of the nicest walks I have been on.
Oh I took some key ring things and left a bungee watch; this watch is new and works well.

After working for 8 hours, I needed a short walk in the hills. This walk fitted the bill perfectly and was my first 'find'. Many thanks Sue and Ian. I left atwo keyrings and took a stubbie cap fishing lure and a Pathfinder card,
Had to walk all the way from the highway - the gate was locked.
Very refreshing at the site, nice and cool.
Left stubbie cap lure, took a fluffy Mr. Man thing.

Nice Looong walk .. If only the Gate was unlocked.. The Stream was flowing.. and it did prove usefull... Ahhh Water on a 40Deg day Ended up vowing to Devar, never to walk that distance again..
My first Australian cache. Had a great time walking through the hills, found the cache and to my surprise also found Magella.
Nice 30min walk along a gravel road. Nice creek which is good for drinking. It was a bit hot but we managed to find it ok. Be careful of the barb wire! Took the sparkplug lighter and keyring, but we forgot to take the things we were going to put in it, however we will return in a few weeks and place a travel bug in it! So far its the best cache we have visited.

5:10pm ..As it was just few Kilometers down the road from our house we thought it would be good to get 30 mins of exercise as suggested. We set off with the usual family members and a young cousin Called Luke. The walk is very easy and pleasant. The coordinates were spot on and the location was easy to find. If you wander this way on a summers day the stream would be nice to dip your feet in. Assuming it is running then. We have placed a couple of pencils and a pen inside a ZIP lock bag as requested. We also placed in a Party popper to celebrate the leaving of the Perth Region of Sue and Ian to start the Pilbara Geocaching group...Thanks for all your effort at making geocaching interesting. We took the Harry Potter cards (Luke did) and the torch (Nathan did). We left the keyring to the next person as it was such a mighty effort we just couldnt bring ourselves to take it. The time taken to fabricate that must have been huge. we will have to try to make something rivaling that also. Lyn Pat and Nathan..with Luke the visitor.
