Logs
Pretty sure we are in the right place and looked in all the likely spots based on the log but think from the comments it might have gone.
Found after a short search. Shame about the broken cammo. Log wet but signable. Thanks for the fun
Found it! Camo is a bit broken and wet but still our favourite cache so far.
Had a couple of hours to spare this morning so am able to explore the second half of this trail that I started yesterday. Muggle partner dropped me off and will pick me up at the other end. After a bit of a search managed to find this one. Unfortunately it has broken off its housing and as other cachers have reported, it is very wet. Luckily I could still sign the rite in the rain paper. Loved seeing the evidence of the railway. Thanks BorisB&Natasha.
The Red Hill Rail Trail is always an enjoyable walk, and the geocaches are always different and well themed, which just makes it even better. All are in good condition except for just a few that need new logs. I started at the top and found my first geocache right on 8 am and the last one at 10 am. Then it was time for a nice coffee.Last cache in the walk today and found at 10 am. After a little bit of looking around, which meant I got to enjoy the Buffer. Thanks for the cache, Boris B & Natasha.Hunter
What a great series this was! Some fantastic caches amongst them showing a great effort from the CO in making and placing themA couple of days on the other side of metropolis in the company of TeamAstro. Thanks BorisB&Natasha for showcasing this area and contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy. Happy trails!
A fitting finish. Buffer zone and departure. A great trail. No horses seen - just evidence Thanks BorisB&Natasha and clear skies from TeamAstro. Having a few days on the peninsula, I headed out on the bike from Merricks to cache this trail. Here at the end of the line, the last find was elusive. I good few minutes of searching were required to find the neat container. Protruding fasteners hinted at a now separate camouflage element. Contents all in good dry condition. TFTC. I had no idea what to expect from these caches or the trail when I set out. The caches exceeded expectations, the trail itself less so. That said, all in all a really worthwhile experience. Thank you BorisB&Natasha for your amazing efforts in creating this caching trail for us to enjoy. Another favourite awarded here for the whole trail .
Trickier than expected, especially with lots of muggles around. We enjoyed this little challenge but the cache is in a bit of a fragile state: Log book signed and some treasures left. TFTC
Wasnt in the obvious spot, but with a bit of searching with the geospouse, found soon later! Thanks for the cache
After 2 days of caching, we finally finished this fantastic series. All of the caches were so creative and well built, we loved the whole thing.Took us quite a bit of time to find this very well camouflaged cache. Once found, it was rather obvious, but it took us two tries. Took the trackable with us, and left a favorite point, for this cache and the series altogether. TFTC!
Feeling fine, streak day #39Another day on this mad and painful pilgrimage of caching glory, todays stop, RED HILL!Today we were aboard the Red Hill Express, picking up the last two caches of this series, with the amount of caches left for me to finds left on the Peninsula Dwindling further and further I knew that I had to pick this up sooner or later. Loving the afternoon drive through the wineries and pines and the stroll along the rail trail. Thanks for the cache and the little adventure.
Found this one a bit hard to pin down, the coords were jumping all over the place. Will have to come back, thanks anyway.
Our last find of this series! We had no plans for this weekend so decided to set out for a weekend of caching. We took the bikes with us along this path and was so surprised with the thought and creativity that went into each of these caches. We dont have an area that stands out as an awesome geocaching place but this will be a series we will be telling people about! Thankyou again for an awesome series
Decided to go for a walk along this trail this morning and dragged the kids along. Took a couple of minutes, but the cache was spotted. In good condition, but the log is damp.
WOO HOO! Mission completed. All rail trail caches successfully found today. Took approx 5 hours walking to Merricks and back (not including a lunch break at the General Store verandah). Left this one to the end, back at the car park. Thanks so much for a satisfying, tiring, smiley-face-filled day BorisB&Rebecca!
Good camo. Took a little bit of searching as it wasn't where we were expecting it to be.
Found with icw. My GPSr pointer moved around and I covered a bit of ground following it. Once the signal stopped wandering I soon found the camouflaged cache. Tftc.
Finally, after having dinner at Red Gum BBQ we gave this another try and come up with the goods Tftc
Great camouflage this one, took us a little while to find it Thanks BorisB&Natasha for this one
With the cooler weather not quite corresponding to traditional notions of summer, I took the opportunity on its first weekday to grab a couple of straggling caches down in this section of my peninsula map that would be a bit more difficult to access (either in terms of weekend muggles or hot weather bushbashing) later in the season after my event in Flinders around lunchtime. There appeared to be some sort of function occurring at the nearby establishment, and one kid had already given up and escaped to the playground (fair enough) but it was all out of the way enough for me to feel comfortable giving this one a crack.Similar to previous finders, I was initially distracted by the titular structure before I was sufficiently persuaded to expand my radius a bit and spotted something a little off which happened to be a cache with some more great camo from this CO!Unfortunately, the logbook is presently quite damp due to its placement, although I did my best to sign it regardless. Thanks to BorisB&Natasha for placing this one here!
Was.almost sidetracked by the nearby structure. But followed the GPS and found the cache quickly. Tftc
A nice quiet day with my not so quiet geo kids. Wanted to kill some time so thought we would quickly grab one or 2 caches on the way home from feeding our horse nearby. This was a sneaky one and set the scene for the rest of the trail - I can't wait to find them all!
Took a moment for my GPS to catch up, but a soon as it did it was a quick find great camouflage tftc

After a short search something a little out of place revealed itself and low and behold it was what we were after. Thanks for the disguised cache. Was very in the open and the log was wet but still usable. Tftc
The geo kids are growing up and we finally have one off trainer wheels and the other one quite happy to follow in her wake, so we decided to attempt The Red Hill Express. This first one was a bit tricky for us to find, but eventually we started looking in less obvious spots and then it was spotted. To say we were utterly delighted is an understatement. A favourite point from us.
Very good camo was a little exposed and log wet but still able to sign I wonder if it's been moved from original hide TFTC
A quality hide that I’ve come to expect from BorisB&Natasha and well deserving of a favourite point. Thanks

Out and about with Tiz13 for another one of our weekly caching adventures, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles.
This is one of the caches found today. Have always enjoyed caches by the CO and these new ones did not disappoint.
Thanks BorisB&Natasha for the cache.

The end of the line for us today on or hiking and caching adventure. This series really is exceptional, and we’ve had so much fun over the past few months securing all the caches.
TFTC.

Really nice find quite difficult and it took us a while thanks Boris and Natasha for these lovely caches
I thought I knew what I was looking for, and I was correct. An easy, find. TFTC
Our last one for the series. Mr P had given up when Mrs P thought about this whole series and the clever hides it contained. Found it! Very clever. Thanks for the whole series, off to the brewery now
That won't be it, Millsy said. Well he was wrong. Great end to a fantastic run today. Thank you very much to Boris and Natasha
Our last find for the day! 25/25 which would never have happened if we weren't with Midaho and Mrs P. Thanks Boris and Natasha for this trail of creative hides!!!
After picking up some chairs for mum, I continued down the peninsula to do some maintenance on a couple of my caches. In between, I did the Red Hill Express series and enjoyed them like I had the earlier series. This was my first attempted cache, but my GPS had me in the wrong spot. I did look briefly at another but came up empty handed.
After moving on to the next one, upon my return, my GPS had me in another spot, but despite my best efforts, the cache failed to materialise. In the end, I played the PAF card and quickly had the cache in hand. In the end, it wasn't as well camouflaged as I expected it to be, but it was just between the two areas I searched.
Thanks to BorisB&Natasha for the cache.

Yesterday my wife and I walked half the trail starting at the Merricks Store end. We enjoyed the walk and caches so much we came back today to finish the mission.
I don’t want to play favourites, and in case my children are reading I don’t have a favourite, except the one called “Favourite” in my phone contacts, but this end of the trail is my favourite.
Judging by the amount of people we saw today and the amount of people we didn’t see yesterday this end of the trail is everyone’s favourite.
Yesterday Mrs Woodyrothwell started the trail with a croissant and I started with a coffee. I don’t know how to spell déjà vu or what it even means but let’s just say it felt like I had been here before. tftc

Walking parts of the Red Hill rail trail today, were some great caches found along the way. This one was nicely hidden .. for some reason water is getting into the cache, the log was damp but still ok to sign. Thanks BorisB&Natasha for placing and maintaining the cache. A favourite point given today.
Finally, a day organised just for caching with day1976, originally had been planning Narbethong unloved but the constant rain would have been awful for bush bashing and for my little 4wd.
So picked a different direction, which the weather forecast said no rain, and the rain tapered off as we arrived.
A great series of caches, the longest walk I've done in some time-4hrs, 15km and about 24 caches, all excellent hides.
Not where we expected, we needed a paf but luckily beknmonts gives great instructions. Enjoyed a mandarin each here, ready for the long walk back.

For the first time in ages, Ilukaperi and I caught up for a days caching. Originally we had planned on going out east to Warburton way, but siginificant rain on the 4WD tracks made us reconsider. As we had never really cached much on the peninsula, we decided to head down here and the Red Hill Express caches became a high priority.
We found everyone in this series, with only one not being able to be signed (I have sent a message to the CO regarding that one).
This one took AGES and we had to resort to a PAF, before the ingenious hide was revealed.

Today ManfredWolfgang, Earthbound Chief, the Shouty Spoodle and myself went on a mini hike to find some caches along the Red Hill trail. Manfred was very appreciative of all the new spots to sniff. He was not so appreciative having to constantly pose for his Instagram pics .
Thanks for the awesome caches, BorisB&Natasha, I’m just adding a favourite point for all.

Out and about caching with BeckNmonts, Manfred Wolfgang and jett_theshoutyspoodle….we planned a big walk for lazy legs today from Merricks to Red Hill. Around and around we went, then BeckNmonts said the magic words!
I definitely know a Boris & Natasha hide by now so I had a pretty good idea what I was searching for and that it would definitely blend in with it's environment very well so because of the perfect GPS coordinates and me knowing what I was looking for I soon spotted the very well camoflauged container and was stamping the log (several times in fact because it refused to stamp properly then I discovered I'd put the wrong date in it lol!) As others have said the log book was quite damp so luckily I had my little kit with me and have placed it into a ziplock bag to hopefully stop it from getting so wet I also added several little swaps for the future finders to choose from since this was a nice sized container! TFTC! Of course there's a FP for this for the beautifully made container and the hide!!
Another cool little cache. Logbook is already wet though, not sure it'll survive winter, could do with a bag I reakon. Tftc
One side down, onto the other side. This cache may need some additional waterproofing, log is quite damp. TFTC
Having not been out for a while, we decided to walk along this trail and seek out the new additions. And it was well worth it. All of the caches are beautifully themed and really well crafted.
We started this one in the obvious location. And after some searching, we eventually saw where we should have been (although still tricky to see). This was another cache that clearly had a lot of work go into it. Another favourite point for another great construction.
Thanks BorisB&Natasha for these fantastic new caches.
Chiefton!!!

Found it , had a good look around where we thought it might but with no luck. Our search was widened and soon another classic camo was found. Thanks for the amazing series and info on the old Red Hill railway. Tftc
GPS was taking me all over the place here but this one eluded me today I'll be back
The sun was setting and the area for this cache was getting to dark for us to search.
Searching, searching, scratching our heads....gps is taking us to a few points and it just didn't make sense.... but.... persistence paid off and after doing a particular action we found it! Yes, its very well camouflaged!
We got notification that a whole bunch of new caches on this trail had been released whilst we were up at the Rutherglen MEGA, and having found BorisB&Natasha creative caches before we knew these would be fun to find....plus we had to get those smileys to match the rest of this trail we discovered and found last year! Today was a gorgeous day, we spotted a group of black cockatoos, new Holland honeyeaters, willy wagtails, kookaburras as we walked the trail, occasionally passing a few other walkers and horses. Thank you BorisB&Natasha for placing these themed and clever caches, very much appreciated!

Woke up this morning to see a lot of new caches published.
Bonus that the CO being Boris and Natasha.
Grade to Red Hill and started the search here in a place we didn’t know about.
This one took a good 30 minutes to finally locate it.
GPS was taking us from one spot to another.
In the end we found it well hidden.
Great cache so thanks
