Staying at Turtle sands for a few days. Headed out for a walk in reserve in the cooler afternoon which was a better idea than yesterday. Found quickly TFTC
Bundaberg Staying at the Big4 caravan parkToday was the day we had planned to do the BRN series.Bill was riding his bike while I walked in a circled route.Had a few DNFs probably they were still there but we didn't look good enough. Thanks youngoldfella for hiding this cache.
Hi there youngoldfella, we found your cache Barolin Nature Reserve #13 by YOF today. This is day one of our Barolin Bike Bonanza power trail" experience. Ian is riding the bike, and Penny will be reading a book and providing recovery support. Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where our GPS said we should be looking. Cache Condition: Good. Regards Ian & Penny (Found and logged using Cachly).
A slight detour from the night cache to find this cache.Last night was a camp in another quality gravel pit. Certainly a good place to pull of the road late at night safely and privately from the passing traffic.Into Bundaberg with a nice wander through the botanic gardens for AL's, and caches. Lovely gardens and historic sites, lizards, eels, turtles and birds. Made a visit to the home of the Bundy bear, seems I like rum more than I thought! I'm surprised at that, but will go with it!Out towards the coast, Bargara and Burnett heads for caches and to explore. Plenty to do and finished the evening with a nice night cache and a puzzle to solve in the morning of how to hitch the van with a car using our site as a carpark right infront of the hitch! Thanks for your cache to enjoy along our travels
Finished another long trip around Australia. The 6th. Next up to Townsville to grab the Palm Island LGA. Only 2 LGAs to complete Australia.Firstly heading back south for some Canberra time.TFTC. Slowly moving south. Made it to Bundaberg to start at the Botanic Gardens and then around town. There are lots of Ad Labs as well as EC and Virtuals in the town and surrounding area.Checked out the Bundaberg rum factory and then the coast around Bargara and Burnett Heads.A lot of fun caching finishing with a night multi cache in the scrub.Nice quick find. So many burrs
I almost visited this one last night, doing the night cache. Glad I did not. took me awhile in daylight. [B)]
My lovely family took me to this reserve today for a great walk and some very nicely presented caches. I apologise now for cut and paste, not my favourite choice of log, but I'll be here half the night otherwise.!! We really appreciated seeing some butterflies and common silk pods on vines, we will be researching these further! we also came across a bonsai type chilli which left memorable pain of red hot on my tongue for half an hour. Boy put that into a competition for heat indurance. We had a lovely half day here. Thanks for all your caches.
Had a great walk around in a selected loop in the reserve today, as we had limited time, bicycles would have been much quicker but not within our access. Lovely day for a stroll, saw lots of butterflies, the paths were easy walking being nice and flat. Took a wrong turn along the way and had to back track, fortunately not too far. Met up with a fellow cacher at Elouera while Busy paws was signing the log there that we already had logged in the past. Thank you YOF for placing and maintaining these caches all the ones we attempted we found, coordinates were great, caches all in good condition, so nice to add some more smiley's to the map in this area. Apologies for the repetitive logs!!
Hubby has a SUP race on this weekend at Elliot Head with a plan to stay in Bargara. Since Ive not been up here for a couple of years, I thought I would tag along and grab some caches all of the way and while hes racing.Since Hubby will need the car, I have bought my trusty e-bike along for the trip.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I found your cache, Barolin Nature Reserve #13 by YOF today. This is my 3171 find.youngoldfella, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
Tftc Youngoldfella, we are with a group camping at Kolan river retreatArrived a day early to make a start on the series of caches in Barolin nature reserve. All caches were found and in good condition.Having our electric fat tyre bikes made this fun. Was good to give them some " off road" use.We will have to finish of another day.
Had an enjoyable time walking the park area, chasing smiles yesterday. It's an easy area to walk around. Out and about with Roddy Hatzoff and Imbunda and Chamad. Signed logs as Bugaras.
Today we spent caching along the Coral Coast from Burnett Heads to Innes Park and everywhere in between! Overcast conditions made for good conditions for searching and successfully found all that we looked for. Many thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.
Spending a few days in Bundaberg and out in the Barolin Nature Reserve caching with RoddyC, Hatzofff, chamad and GEM_54 and using the name BUGARAS for these. Lots of walking but good paths. Enjoyed the day. TFTC
A planned weekend away to Bunderberg and a visit to Gladstone to check on the property to see how far it has advanced. It all started with the usual friday afternoon traffic crawl. I had left my run a little tooo late and it was not until Gympie before it seemed to flow a little better, so many people going away. Today I got to join a few other cachers to walk around the Barolin Nature and Pastoral Reserve. There were some very good caches and a few that had us searching for longer than we liked. We even walked to a few of the outer lying caches and drove to a few others. This was a great walking area and just a simple set of trails to follow. I enjoyed our walk around today, thank you. We signed the logs as "Bugaras" to save time and space, sorry for the generic log.
Out caching around the Bargara area and along the coastline today. Weather was overcast and by the end of it we were having intermittent showers. Arrived at GZ and after short searches, the cache was found. TFTC
Day 4 in the Coral Coast. Out in the reserveCaching with RoddyC Gem54 chamad and imbunda. Signing logs as BUGARASTFTCache youngoldfella
In the company of chamed, hatzofff, Imbunda and GEM_54, we are targeting the caches in and around the Barolin Nature Reserve, signing all logs as BUGARAS (aka Bargaras). All caches were found, some after a second (or even a third) attempt, and the occasional log sheet replaced where necessary.Thank you, youngoldfella, for placing this cache and showing us the wonders of this reserve. It is truly well laid out, and the pathways well-maintained.
Found with KabbellaQld on 5/1/24. Adding now that I have a premium subscription.
Heute auf unseren schnen Cacherrunde kamen wir auch hier vorbei. Gut zu finden.Everything good here. Thanks for the Cache.
We were so glad we bought our rain jackets on the walk because a couple of times the rain got heavier than that annoying level. It wasnt ever enough to put our phones away but enough to be uncomfortable walking in wet clothes. However for those moment the sun came out we had to take the jackets off and the best way to carry extra clothes if by tying them around your waist - bogan style. tftc
Our first full day geoecaching in and around Bagara and the Barolin Nature Reserve. TFTC youngoldfella
Today out on the bikes around Barolin nature and pastoral reserve. We were not sure if we could do them all as we had a late start due to the morning traffic from Moore Park, however surprisingly we did manage to grab them all.Great job YOF for the maintenance being carried out here, all logs in good condition. Thanks youngoldfella for the caches.Total Cache Finds 15190,

Construction was very busy here in the morning, so we avoided this area until late afternoon when everyone had gone home. All good with the Hide here.
Today we drove from Maryborough to this area specifically to come for a walk through. It’s beautiful forest reserve.
We were certainly not disappointed, and had a lot of fun. None of the trails seem to show up on our off-line maps, and this made the walk even more interesting, as we “lost” our way a couple of times.
The hints along the way were really useful in helping us to locate GZ very quickly, and all the containers were found in really good condition.
There were just 2 DNFs along the trails today.
It was a beautiful day to be out exploring and getting some exercise and we loved visiting the area. The beach is absolutely beautiful.
Thanks youngoldfella!

After a morning out in a part of the reserve followed by lunch and a trip to airport for others to catch flights home, there was another opportunity to head out for a few more caches. These ones were found without issue, even though the taped off areas were a bit of concern. Turns out all was good and the caches were found and then it was over to school for a few more in that area.
Thanks for these ones YOF....all caches in good condition.
