I met up with the Westie ladies for a late morning caching in Stillwater. This was a nice quick find in the first place checked.

Out geocaching with Jag50 Net61 and Merlot58 today!
This was a pretty unusual set up !
But we weren't fooled....
The other 3 had found it before I even parked!
Good one thanks G-2.

I am out and about for a spot of cache detection this afternoon. After a first to find in Browns Bay and an ad lab in Long bay, among others, I headed out Stillwater way for the six newly published caches out this way. I parked up next to ground zero and got to searching. I took a step to far, next to ground zero and nearly fell down the bank and into the gorse. Misadventure averted and the cache was spotted in the process too; better lucky than good! Unfortunately, the cache attachment mechanism was barely holding on to GZ. As such I took the liberty of reattaching it more securely. Took a moment to enjoy the view of the valley before heading off. Cheers for the cache placement!

An explosion of caches not too far from home meant it was worth coming for a drive our here. Lovely views across the valley and the cache was a straight forward find. TFTC

Located it at obvious spot and I was surprised how the hide was actually placed !
TFTC!
Found it during a little adventure on my day off to grab 10 hides to obtain Wheel of Challenges: Seeking Smileys souvenirs (Medium level)

Away for the Easter weekend and taking a slow amble from west to east to camp somewhere near Whangaparaoa.

So, having started the 101 Dalmatians trail, I refreshed my app and spied a number of FTF opportunities close to where I hoped to stay tonight.

Hot-footing along the country lanes got me close but ultimately we’ll short of the FTF as I’d been beaten to the ‘prize’ by a good few hours.

Thanks G_2

I really wasn't coming up here today from west Auckland, I mean... how many times have I done this area in the last week, I can't even count! My petrol bill lately is not a pretty sight G!

BUT I did need a mystery cache for a challenge I happen to be working on so I chose the library one at Glenfield but since I'm coming up for that these 6 brand new caches by the C.O just can NOT be ignored! A few of these popped out last night, and the rest this morning so it has to be said... other cachers have had more time than is needed to come and get these before me, those who snooze lose.

So I made this the first for the morning, but it wasn't without a major hassle, which I will explain now! I took a wrong turn getting here and instead of being on this road I started heading down the windy hill towards Stillwater, realising my mistake, I went to brake and start to do a u-turn on someones driveway, not realising some arrogant dude was right up my backside itching to get pass, so I hear all this honking on the horn, ooops... my mistake, I should have checked the mirror before braking, so I carried on to find another turn around area, by now this guy behind was over the top angry. He was itching to get past me, trying in vain to overtake me on the curves, I did find a spot to do a u-turn, and this time indicated to do so, but the irate one pulled in front of me and opened his window to give me a mouthful at the top of his voice, anyway after a few seconds, I tried to apologise but to no avail, but that was no excuse for his abhorrent behaviour, so I just drove off, thankfully he never tried to follow me.... where's a battery powered sabre saw when you want one?? Oh that's right.... on my passenger seat. So before I decided to use that I buggered off, left him to it. I was quite shaken by all that but calmed down by the next cache, great start to the morning eh.

I drove just pass the cache and parked up and walked back to it. Gorgeous morning for caching, loved the cute hide G. {FTF} here for me today, no surprise really. But I did wonder why others would pass up 6 potential new caches, thanks G for the hide.
