Find # 13127Making the most of the opportunity to duck out for a few hours of caching fun, still, just one more after a tough day of caching with some geobuddies south of Tharwa. In the way home I was seeking out some 4/1s to finish off a few easy DT loops. Seeking out the occasional challenge or two, or trying to mop up as many solves as I can to keep that long list under control. Seems to increase faster than it decreases This one was found on the ground propped up against a tree. Placed back up in the nearest tree at a D4 level, now good to go.Many thanks to RoddyC for placing Chisholm Green 3 for us all to enjoy. Your contribution to the game through the placement and maintenance of this cache over the years is appreciated.
Found this one but unfortunately the tree it belongs to has fallen down and the cash is on the ground. May need some urgent maintenance.
I spotted this one fairly quickly as I walked up and understood how the comment about tangled branches was going to cause some trickyness. As I deployed my Tott I heard a hello from the nearby back yard. The resident of the nearby house had spotted me. Apparently she'd seen a few cachers trying to make the find. and wanted to know what it was all about, after a bit of explanation all was good. for future hiders say hi to the friendly muggle After a bit of struggle with the branches I had the cache down. Back to the original location was a bit easier as gravity was on my side. Thanks for the fun RoddyC.A favorite point for a nice chat with the local
Oof, this was quite a tug of war making the retrieve. Never realised these poles were going to make my shoulders burn this much!TFTC!
A fellow cacher lent me their fishing pole while they're away so I'm heading out to find as many tree fishing caches as possible, with the three in this series being first on my list. So I dragged my dad along to show him the concept of tree fishing, and I think he was pretty impressed. This was tougher to retrieve as some thin branches had looped around the cache in the tree. Took some precision but the cache was soon in our hands, signed, and replaced. Thank you RoddyC for the cache!
Whos of thought, a RoddyC series of ing in Canberra. Well here is a piece of fun X3 while we are here. Thanks Roddy for the fun as GG1 says.
Muggle65 and l were going to have a day off but we couldn't resist these ones. Parked at #1 and enjoyed a stroll to get all three. The dog here nearly had us getting the hell out of Dodge but as we decided we had caused enough noise pollution, someone took him inside. Great for us ! Thank you for a fun cache
An early going with Baktrak and PPE on some ladder and puzzle hunting. Some team work and coordination saw us making good progress around before swapping to fishing poles for this leg. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
We headed down to the suburbs to do some fishing. With our TOTT in hand we were able to fish out the cache amongst the other tangled tree branches. Thanks RoddyC for the pole placement.
On a MEGA day today with eldest geokid as he clocks up about 9 hours in his Learners Logbook. We had a lot of fun just picking up whatever semi-random caches we felt like before attending the [Geobash](https://coord.info/GL1BRA49R) in time for the Lackey/ Reviewers workshop. We bumped into a few teams out there today including a team from Narrogin WA. A good day but were wrecked!Geokid sleeping it off a bit for an hour or two after literally the biggest drive of his life this morning. So out with the TOTT for a solo grab of this Chisholm Green fishing cache. After a brief passing by of a muggle, TOTT was deployed, cache snapped up, and log signed. Cache in good condish - it never ceases to amaze me the setups you see lately with this style of hide. TFTC, RoddyC.#1944
Greetings from Tasmania, solved this puzzle for age ago, fi ally make go there for big Mega Event soon.. decide stay here for few weeksBugger very difficult get out because the tree thin roots growing over on the thick side tree..Found it without signed in.. TFTC
Targeted these 3 tree fishing caches primarily for their rare 4/1 DT combination, which is quite rare from where I live (Adelaide), plus it fills some holes in my DT grid, plus I love tree fishing- such a fun challenge. Accurate coords and the cache was hooked, and the log signed. Thanks for this fun series!
After a solid hike with Green_Martian in Rob Roy earlier decided to pick up a few caches on the way home. A quiet neighborhood, perfect for a stroll along the green. Cache signed, TOTT activated, cache retrieved, log signed and replaced as found. TNLNSL TFTC
I loved the container and hide for this one, easy to spot, easy to retrieve and replace! Good to have caches hidden by interstate visitors as they often hide caches differently to how we do!
The coast was clear when I arrived. But then people came out of the backyard and watched whilst I was already in action, and then another person rode past on a bike and offered me a longer pole if I needed it? I politely declined as mine was only half extended and the cache was already going back up! I don't think they realised how adequate the pole I had was, but I am also curious what pole they would have retrieved if I had of said yes....!
Hopefully these two curious party's leave the cache alone given they both live extremely close to it. It is hard to avoid muggles when they appear whilst your halfway through fishing!
Thanks RoddyC

Found after walking up Mt Tuggeranong this morning, I was keen for some tree fishing before heading home for lunch. Quick find at GZ and retrieval, very nicely sized micro and retrieval mechanism. Nice and peaceful green space today. TFTC RoddyC!
Decided to tackle these three fishing caches since I had my pole on me. Interesting that they were all small caches, not very common in the world of tree fishing. I like it this way though, it's easier to spot them.
They were all pretty close to the ground and retrieved and replaced in under 5 minutes! TFTC RoddyC for this enjoyable mini series!

It is good to have some fishing caches that are not micros - I can see these ones. Fortunately no one about to watch the strange antics. All easily got putting them back however as found was a challenge. I need to modify my TOTT. TFTC.
TFTC - it was more difficult than expected. Had to come back with a bigger tool.
Cache is in good condition and log signed

Found today on a lovely sunny but very cold day. Signed dsd or darksidedan or AB or Adventure Boys to save space in the logbook. Thanks for the cache and the Adventure.
Perhaps a little tricky with some obstacles but we got there with the TOTT in hand. TFTC!
A spot of caching with fitzy_1965 whilst I had the opportunity today.
All the caches we tried were found quickly and easily.

31,869. Found with minniek during a short caching trip to South Canberra.
With some time up our sleeves today, minniek and I decided to grab some caches in order to keep meeting one of our self-imposed calendar challenges. There was a nice cluster down this way, so they were our target for the day. The south part of Canberra always seems to keep producing caches regularly, which is great for us on days like these ! These three fishing caches were fun to do, as we had chatted to the CO about them during the Rutherglen Mega. All three were spotted, recovered, stamped and returned without issue.
Thanks RoddyC !!

A glorious day was perfect for a day out geocaching!
Teamed up with AngelG27 along with the geochaps comprising of Search4, TikvaNZ and Fox in Jox (signed as FASTS). Great fun with this lot! The focus of the day was to nab the recently published caches in Bullen Range and a few others along the way.
We decided to swing by these 3 tree fishing caches in this pocket of green space to make the finds. All 3 were spotted, fished out, signed and replaced easy! Fun little series!
Thanks for the hide, RoddyC

After a satisfying hike in Bullen Range this morning, we (SpecimenX, Search4, TikvaNZ, Fox in Jox and myself) swung by these trads on our way back to our parking waypoint. A quick retrieve and return here.
Thanks RoddyC for the cache and the fun!

No issues with locating, retrieving, signing and replacing this cache - thanks, RoddyC.
A quick commentary, if I may: living in the beating heart of the ACT that is southern Canberra I had given some consideration to attempting this series of caches just after publication yesterday, these being reasonably proximate to me. I'm glad I didn't, because I would have been disappointed to read the newly retrieved log and discover that FTF was actually awarded by a sort of VIP early access pass system a week earlier.
The local GC Facebook chat suggests this is a common practice with the CO's caches in Qld. I'm glad it's not common here - these caches aside, of course - because it sort of ruins the excitement and sense of community we can experience on an FTF hunt. Oh well. Horses for courses, I suppose - just not for me.

Found with KittyKatch, Tankengine, barb2e, isopeda & dty73 after the CO gave KK a chance to go for the [FTF] before publication of cache as a prize at his recent event. KK kindly invited us to share the fun. Cold, wet and windy day though.
This was one of the three caches that three lucky people were given early access to from an event. So Kittykatch, barb2e, Joolay, Tankengine and DTY73 went fishing on a slightly damp and blustery Sunday morning. The retrieval was slightly tricky, but we eventually managed to hold the cache in our hot little hands for a [FTF].
We went on to do a little bit more caching afterwards, but the weather was quite uncomfortable, so that we called it quits quite soon.
TFTC RoddyC.

Yabba Dabba Doo *FTF* well maybe, after publish, it was found by a group over a month ago! .... more later
Thank you RoddyC for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

*FTF* Found with Joolay, barb2e, isopeda, dty73 and Tankengine after the CO gave me a chance to go for the FTF - found before publication of cache. I thought I would take a few mates along and we had a fun time getting the cache in hand and the log book signed. Thanks for a fun cache RoddyC
**FTF** with Kittykatch, Joolay, isopeda, dty73 and Tankengine after KK's name was drawn at RoddyC's event last week. The group ventured out on a damp day for the tricky retrieve. Tftc
